Time of Reading 10:55 to 11:25 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Body and enquiring mind, also the information which has been given him thru this channel in previous rdgs. He seeks at this time advice and guidance as to his mental and material affairs. Questions.)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [462], present in this room; and the information that has been given through these channels.

2. As we would find in the present, insomuch that apparently there has been little consummation of those intents and purposes and of the application of the self respecting those conditions that have been given, there should not be an overanxiety. But know that all those things that have been suggested have set and do set in motion those influences and conditions that will bring about those activities wherein there may be made the associations and those connections.

3. We still find that there should be rather the keeping close in connection with things in and about the Norfolk port, rather than in those of other territories. But if the conditions or the emergencies indicate to the body other channels or other offers, these for the moment or for the time may be considered to meet the emergencies. But keep an eye single to those activities that have been and are innate within the desire of the body, for a boat or craft of its own - or associates - to act or to be active in this vicinity. For these as we find, taking all conditions into consideration, are those things that offer not only the eventual better possibilities, probabilities, but the needs of all conditions as surround the body concerning same.

4. In the present we would, for immediate consideration, be closely associated with - or contact through those associations of Consolvo, with those activities of pleasure boats, the carrying of same through the harbors for the coming season. Or if these do not develop fast enough, then associations with those connections as of Raiford that make

462-10 Page 2

for an activity in the fishing grounds or fishing fields. And these as we find would offer channels for meeting of immediate emergencies. Yet would not hinder from associations or connections when these are able to be made by the entity through a surrounding or for an association in the activities in these grounds or waters.

5. Ready for questions.

6. (Q) I went to see Capt. Wood of The Wood Towing Co. several times and he says he has more men now waiting than he could use. He does not want me. (A) Then keep in touch with these. Carry on with those others and do not let it be said that there was not the effort made and effort made in being active.

7. (Q) Have also tried the Pilots, but there was nothing doing there. (A) Keep in touch with these, and qualify self in these associations for the closer connection in these directions for larger crafts or for connections for the directing of larger crafts in and about the port and in the waters and in the bay and all of these connections. And these should be the directions in which the body would keep self in line. Yet through these other connections, as we find, immediate connections might be made for immediate needs.

8. (Q) I could not find a suitable boat at Quantico. Please explain. (A) As we find these may be made. There are those there, or even those in which connections were made, that these could be put into such a condition whereby these might be used in the activities - if there are the efforts put forward to make for such an association or connection that these may be prepared for such a service as is desired.

9. (Q) What is the reason I have not made connections here in Norfolk? (A) Do not be overimpatient. Hold on to that thou hast. And you will find that these may be made. The testing season is not through, but carry on.

10. (Q) I want work and I'm willing to work. (A) Then carry on in those directions as indicated in the pleasure crafts that may be made through the connections with Consolvo and those associates for such things to be carried on around or about the port, and the connecting places, see? Or those with the organizations as indicated, these as we find might offer activity - if there are the approaches through the various connections and associations.

11. (Q) Is there any special activity I should consider doing this afternoon? (A) In making these associations, connections, or seeing

462-10 Page 3

individuals as connected with same. Of either of those groups. If one doesn't work, then work another! If that doesn't work, then start out for self!

12. (Q) Is the dredging in the Delaware canal worth considering? (A) Worth considering, but let this be rather as a call than going away or seeking for same. Just as the same in other connections that may carry the body away, under the pressure or the emergency of conditions. But let there remain, as we find, the purpose to eventually have the associations and connections in and about the Norfolk port.

13. (Q) Should I consider the work going to Miami, Fla., with Mr. Elliott of 1262 W. 47th St., Norfolk? (A) We do not find this lasting for such a period to be a very satisfactory association or connection. But if the emergency arises, don't refuse same but keep back in the inmost self those first purposes.

14. (Q) I was told in reading that my life's work was in aiding to direct the affairs of individuals in their commercial, mental and spiritual relationships in varied activities, local, foreign and the like. Please explain. (A) These may be made for directions in any of associations or connections where the activities are in such a way and manner as to influence individual lives, whether they be in this or that intent or purpose. And may be carried forward in that way and manner. Teachers, ministers, helpmeets in the various affairs of men or individuals are not necessarily those that wear long coats or circumspectly fixed hats or the like, but those that give of themselves in their contact with the individuals in the daily walks of life. THESE add, these teach, these minister oft MUCH MORE than those that are frocked.

15. (Q) How soon will the port of Norfolk show growth? (A) Within the next two or three years. Within ten years it will be the larger port on the Atlantic Coast.

16. (Q) In my Life Reading I was told that I had ability as a writer and lecturer. Is there anything I could do in that line now? (A) Then commence it!

17. (Q) Is there anything I could do in that line now? (A) Commence it! These are only in the application of self. As there are abilities, these not only by thinking but by putting them into practice. Though there may appear to be the lack of the inclination, if these are once begun to even - as it were - set the mind away from those things that may disturb or worry, it will be found to be formulating the

462-10 Page 4

plans, the conditions, the circumstances, the various stories, the various activities that would find outlet. There are many people seeking for the very stories that may be prepared by the body here. Abilities are there! They have to be put into use!

18. (Q) In what direction? (A) Those things the body knows of, that it has actually experienced! whether these pertain to land or to sea, whether these pertain to government projects or the lack of the activities in this or that direction in such channels. The economic conditions as in relation to the activities in which the body may have been engaged, or those in fields of activity in which all are shown to have, and where there should be the association or connection of same with, spiritual things. For as the body has understood, and as the body has experienced within self, unless the purposes, the ideals of individuals - no matter in what walk of life they be, whether in shining shoes or acting as president - unless they be founded in truth and in the SPIRIT of truth, they MUST be false in their ending! Hence in making associations or in abilities in the activities of the writing, or of making the stores whether they be of the nature that would be considered ordinary stories or those that would pertain to life in its various activities. This as the basis or the purpose, or as to what and how these are associated, they bring that which individuals or groups as a whole, or as a nation or as a world seeks at present - PRACTICAL Christianity, or practical religion!

19. (Q) Was the experience that I have gone through necessary? (A) Unless the entity, unless the body looks upon the experiences day by day as necessary influences and forces, and uses them as a stepping-stone, soon does life become a pessimistic outlook. If each and every disappointment, each and every condition that arises, is used as a stepping-stone for better things and looking for it and expecting it, then there will still be continued the optimism. Or the looking for and expecting of. If an individual doesn't expect great things of God, he has a very poor God hasn't he?

20. (Q) Was told through this source that my lucky day was Thursday and my lucky number eight. From my own observation this hasn't seemed to work out that way. (A) Observe it farther along. Keep those all together and then see if these do not coordinate with the experiences

462-10 Page 5

that thou hast had and those things that have so often apparently been almost calamitous in the experience have eventually turned to be the very things that have brought the most harmonious experiences in the whole life. What is thine ideal? Of a larger commercial life, of a larger social activity, of a larger activity in the financial world? Or of the greater soul development? the greater activities in which men that are met by the individual are glad, happy to have known him, and the world and each day and each day's experience and each contact becomes better for having met and know and been with the individual? What is the most worth while? What lives on? In fact, what do you live with? That which is helpful, or that which is destructive? You live with either that you have builded, but then don't feel sorry for self if you have chosen the wrong road - TURN AROUND!

21. (Q) Would you suggest I keep a daily diary? (A) It's good for everyone, to look at self occasionally.

22. (Q) What work should my boy, [984], do during the summer holidays? (A) As we find, whatever would take him on the outside. Those activities that would deal with anything as around a golf course, anything with an activity in the OPEN. These we would choose. It's needed for the body, as well as for the general activities in association with larger groups of individuals.
