R E A D I N G
Time of Reading 11:15 to 11:40 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia. (Body and enquiring mind, who seeks personal and material information for the benefit of himself and family. He needs work with remuneration enough to take care of the needs of himself and family. You will give all information necessary and answer the questions as they are submitted.)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [462]; present in this room; the needs, the desires, and those conditions that exist in the experience of the entity in the present; with that information which has been given as respecting the manners and ways and means.
2. These as we find have apparently failed in bringing into the experience those associations or those relations as to enable the body to make connections for the carrying on in the ways and manners as desired by the body.
3. As we would find, then, in the immediate - while this may appear to be far-fetched or out of the conditions that are in keeping with immediate needs - as has been indicated the body SHOULD better prepare self, owing to those conditions that have existed.
4. Much has been cleared that would prevent the body from making those associations or connections where there may be the activity of the body in the capacity of fulfilling the relationships upon waters, or piloting, or the activities in the way of carrying on the greater associations in a broader field.
5. While this may require a little period for the preparations, for such examinations or for such associations as to make for the better connections, these as we find would and will bring connections that will make for the better conditions.
6. Then choose those channels through which such activity, such a connection may bring those actions and activity necessary for carrying on in these directions - and BEGIN, NOW!
462-11 Page 2
7. True, activities for the needs of the immediate future appear to be such as to prevent such as this being carried on, but beginning now we would find all so soon coming to pass by the very activity as to supply all the needs of those conditions.
8. Ready for questions.
9. (Q) Do you mean that I should start as an ordinary seaman again and go to sea? (A) Start as that that is necessary for the body to become a pilot, a captain, a director of crafts about these particular waters or ports.
10. (Q) Is it best to stay in Norfolk? (A) As we find, as has been so oft indicated, in and about Norfolk or vicinity become the eventual activities. If that action in the present requires that there be trips or activities outside, keep in the mind and in the activities that which will make for the either shipping from or in or about Norfolk.
11. (Q) Whom shall I contact, give names and addresses. (A) This must be done by self. There are regular channels, there are regular groups or individuals through which such connections and associations may be made. These should be chosen by self as to what channel, what association, what connections would be more in keeping with the temperament, the desires, the future activities and associations; and these then in this manner of choice - as still as we find, through those associations of the Wood Towing may be the better connections made.
12. (Q) Is it best to keep in the dredging business or should I change to some other line of work? (A) As we would find, and as we have indicated so oft for the body, while the dredging business may be made as a connection, this is not the better; for it becomes rather as too much of rote for the body. But if the body is able (and it is) to qualify as captain, pilot, steerer, or those activities in and about the waters of this particular port, these would offer channels and ways where the greater satisfaction, the greater advancement and the greater activity may be carried on. As has been given, if there had been chosen that as indicated for the OWN boat for activity, this might have made a difference. But if there will be used in the present that as has been indicated for the preparation, the qualifying of activities in these particular directions, these will bring about the better conditions.
13. (Q) Is it best for me to keep in mind something for myself?
462-11 Page 3
(A) This as has been oft indicated is the better. But the making for connections or activities that allow for the recognition of the body's abilities, as are manifested and yet not recognized, will fit the body not only better for its own activity for itself but bring about connections where that in the activity of self the associations become so much greater, so much broader in its scope.
14. (Q) Is there anyone in Norfolk with money whom I might contact who needs a man of my capabilities? With the contacts already made here it seems that they consider me as too old. (A) If the body allows self to become overcome by such, then the body immediately becomes retroactive. But as has been indicated, BEGIN and show - by the service able to be rendered - that the body is not only efficient, capable, active, but that the service that has already been rendered better fits the body than those who are less experienced. The body is not too old. As to the connections and associations with the acquaintances, as has been indicated, there needs to be - as it were - PUSH IN, SHIP, irrespective of what "We don't need" but MAKE the place for self!
15. (Q) Should Mr. Cayce and I go to Lostman's River in Florida for the purpose of locating buried treasure? or is this the right thing to do? [See [1279] series.] (A) Many things are to be considered in such an undertaking. There are many such treasures that might be located in the Florida waters, and Florida environs. But there needs to be an association or connection that there may be the use of a boat sufficiently well equipped for carrying on such a research. Lostman's River would be easily located if there are the activities in that direction. But DO NOT begin with such by being beholden to some others, so that the very activity becomes a drain or drudge, with a disappointment before you begin. This would be very well if there is the preparing, or the preparation made, before such an undertaking is begun.
16. (Q) Shall I be called back into the Government Service? If so, when and where? (A) As we find there is an opportunity for same. If this is pressed and the associations and the qualifications are pressed, and if the body is desirous of doing so, it may be brought about - as has been once given. If this is the choice of the body, that it would again like to begin or to
462-11 Page 4
give up other greater opportunities and be satisfied with this, very well. This may be brought about. When? As soon as the activities are begun that usually begin in the latter part of April or in May or June, and as we find would be again in southern waters. But this must be a choice, as has been indicated.
17. (Q) Why does 13, or 4, seem to play such a part in my life and what is the significance of it? (A) This as we find comes to what may be called the vibrations under which the entity as an entity is active, or the contacts with what may be the mental or the material channels through which there are the manifestations. They are as omens, or as the effect of vibratory forces upon the activities of the individual entity for bringing experiences into manifestation. To this particular entity the 13 (and 4) comes rather as a mental experience, and appears to be the door to or the door in or out of a new activity. As these come into the experience then, the entity experiences that it is either the beginning of or the end of some particular period of manifestations. Do not rely upon same as other than that in the experience.
18. (Q) Should I leave the initial L. out of my name? (A) We would change the vibrations of the body entirely by same, and these will come nearer then to being 5 and 8, or changes - with a general reaping from changes as brought into the experience. Again it is a choice as to whether or not to change. But remember, these influences of 13, 4, 5, 8, will always be present - if the changes are made! They are merely omens or signs; not factors that produce - but are the production of the activities of the body mental, physical and material.
19. (Q) Is there anything his wife, [404], present in this room, can do to help at this time? (A) Aid in keeping rather that balance, or preventing from becoming discouraged. If ye are IN the manner of being in accord with Creative Forces, these bring such into the experience. Do not see disappointments and hardships then as hardships, but purposes for the better development not only of selves but those whom ye aid in directing.
