Time of Reading 3:30 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [465], and those conditions that have disturbed and do disturb the better physical functioning of the body. The disorders, while of a complicated nature in the effect that is produced, arise primarily, as we find, from the inactivity of glands, produced by the ineffectiveness or lack of elements in the system that would make for a more normal activity. Hence there have been times when effects rather than causes have been ministered to, or for.
2. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [465] we are speaking of:
3. In the BLOOD SUPPLY we find the evidences of the character and the nature of disturbances that have existed, for there is the lack in the blood supply itself of that plasm which produces or causes proper coagulation in used channels, as well as in those portions of system where there is the necessity for the activity of the coagulating elements in used forces rather than that which would be of the nature that produces the warring against elements that are injurious of any nature in the system. Hence the indications are that the glands - as in the thyroid, as in the elements or glands within the thyroids, and the adrenal and those in the lacteal - ALL are under strain or stress from the lack of specific elements in the body. This condition, as we find, has produced - and does produce - this character of disturbance, and hence has at times produced that of such a nature that the effects of the condition have become more of detrimental activity in appearance than the cause of disturbances. For, with such a condition, there has been the thinning of the walls of tendons, muscles, folds in various portions of the system; as in throat and bronchi, in the adrenal area, in the folds of the abdomen, in the muco-membrane activity of the
465-1 Page 2
intestinal system. And these have produced, at some stages, such an accumulation in the form of plethora tubes that there has been the attendant condition of the form of globules that necessitated the removal of same, and more often they appear rather as blood tumor and contain only mucus AND blood from the tissue separating itself in these various portions. Hence a form of anemia exists in the blood supply, by the very act of glands not functioning normally, so that the eliminations do not coordinate properly one with another. This makes for disturbances in the heart's activity, in the pulsation being abnormal, with a temperature below normal; at others a very quick pulsation and more the feeling as of the PRESENCE of the heart's activity than is normal for a body.
4. As to the effect in the NERVOUS SYSTEM: The natural result is to produce a very high nervous temperament at times, with other periods when the repression or the result of such a high tension is to swing to the other extreme and the body becomes very pessimistic about everything, yet at other times just the opposite and every condition as related to the activities of the imaginative forces can be built until there are great dreams of abilities, of activities, and the desire for activities in various fields. These are effects, not causes.
5. The effect of these changes - and of the segregation and separation in various portions of the body, as indicated in throat, in bronchi, in lungs even at times, in the digestive area, and the effect to the organs as of the circulatory system - is to make for a tendency toward an engorgement in the spleen (which is a gland in itself, to be sure, that supplies the activities through the reaction of the sympathetic and cerebrospinal repulsive and reactory forces in the body); which makes for torpidity and an overactivity both in the liver. At various times, to be sure, yet the effects of these are evidenced from the blood supply itself, as well as in the activity of the glands indicated and their effect upon the organs of circulation.
6. Then, as to the activities that would bring about the influences to the body that would be for the benefit, and for the effects that would be beneficial to the body:
7. There should be the supplying to the body those elements that will WORK WITH the organs, the glands carrying into the system the influences that will act with the system in producing the proper stimuli, WITHOUT affecting the organs of the body itself that are already under a nerve strain THROUGH the inability of coordination in the body.
8. Hence, we would not give properties internally, or
465-1 Page 3
internal medication would not be effective - or would be SO effective as to be DETRIMENTAL; for that which would be helpful would become detrimental to the body, in sufficient quantities to aid at all.
9. Hence the vibrations of the elements into the system would be the manner in which these would be carried to the body, and in such measures and in such manners as to make for the creating of a balance that will be most effective to the body.
10. Prepare, then, the wet cell battery, with two applicators that carry atomic forces to the system. The same battery may be used, but the appliance or applicators that carry the medication to system should be in different proportions. Make the anodes or poles one of copper, the other of nickel; also the anodes or plates that are to be attached to the body should be of copper and of nickel or german silver - nickel preferable. The anode or pole in the nickel vibration would carry the emanations and the medications from the properties themselves; or the connection should be not of lead but preferably of nickel also, see? and will necessitate the cleansing after each treatment. The medications should be the atomic iodine and spirits of camphor. One would be given one day, the other the next day. The anodes would be attached in this manner to the body: The first anode to be attached (the copper) would be to the brachial plexus center, or the 3rd and 2nd or 3rd and 4th dorsal centers. These attachments may be altered, or the plate may be sufficiently large to cover both of these plexuses. The other somewhat larger plate or anode carrying the medication would be attached over the lacteal ducts or the umbilicii plexus, to the right and a little below the center, see? The application would be made each day; for ten minutes when using the Atomidine (atomic iodine) and for twenty minutes when using the Spirits of Camphor. This would preferably be given as the body rests in the evening.
11. We would also have the GENERAL manipulation osteopathically given, that is NOT of the ADJUSTMENT nature - in the beginning. Only the general massage, using the arms, lower limbs, and the torso even, as levers - when making the manipulation; but do NOT make the adjustments as yet, for these would be not in keeping with that which is to be created by the changed vibrations in the system from the properties being carried into same.
12. As to the matter of diet, keep a well balanced diet but tending toward the alkalin rather that acid.
13. And this whole combination will make for the better and
465-1 Page 4
more more effective activities against congestion, cold, and so easily tiring - as the body does - from any exercise.
14. The exercises of the body should be rather in moderation, and not ever those that are depressing mentally or physically; yet keep active in EVERY sense, not overtiring the body nor yet becoming so dilatory as to allow the accumulation of energies not passed off by exercise mentally and physically.
15. Ready for questions.
16. The manipulations osteopathically would be given about twice each week.
17. The application of the vibrations from the medications would be each day, for at least thirty-six to forty days. Then a rest period should be had from the applications for ten to twenty days; then begin again for the second period of these vibrations, and we will find we will reach the BASIS of these disturbances and overcome these conditions, bringing about normalcy for the body in its activity.
18. (Q) Is it harmful for the body to smoke cigarettes? (A) In moderation, very well. In moderation here would mean not more than four to five times during a day.
19. (Q) What kind of exercise is best for the body? (A) As indicated, that requiring some physical and mental activity also. Not strenuous in either direction, but do not become dilatory in the mental activity any more than in the physical.
20. (Q) What are the missing elements in the system? (A) These may be indicated by the active forces given for the body. The iodine, which is in the Atomidine. Hence there is an excess of potassiums in the body. The iodine in the atomic manner to the system will create a more even balance, causing or producing an activity in the glands that will make for the tendency towards the creating of elements in the blood stream that make for coagulation. Then, the vibrations from the Camphor are necessary to prevent irritation where there has been the tendency for separation of the atomic forces in the body itself.
21. (Q) Would you recommend an osteopath? (A) Those that are in sympathy with the activities that may be had for creating a balance. Daly (?) or Dobbins.
22. (Q) Is nickel applicator connected to nickel anode? (A) The nickel pole and the nickel applicator are on the same leads, you see. The nickel that goes into solution is in the middle of the lead. Use nickel rather than lead or other elements, for we need the change in the vibration to create the proper vibration to the body itself through the low electrical vibrations created.
