Time of Reading 11:00 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Washington, D.C. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes. As we find, there are disturbing conditions in the better physical functioning of this body, [467]. These have to do with specific conditions that exist and the effect that these have upon functioning organs, and the affectation in the body from these.

2. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body, [467]:

3. The BLOOD SUPPLY, indicates there is a disturbance in the eliminations of the system, and that the effect produced tends to cause the inability of creating a proper balance in the divisions of the blood supply itself. So, those conditions or things that have been taken as relief from pain to the body affect the circulation and the nerve system in such a manner as to produce an anemia - of a character - in the body.

4. Also the blood supply shows that these disturbances are rather of the organs of the pelvis, and the effect upon the hepatic circulation, than in other portions of the system.

5. In the NERVE SYSTEM, or systems themselves, here we find the seat or a contributory cause, to be sure, of the nature that has prevented and does prevent normalcy for the body.

6. At a time back, during a period of menstruation there was cold and congestion in the body, so that the effect to the body was for a contraction in the pelvic organs, for the turning of the womb itself in such a position that the nerve influences have tended to keep the organ in this position by the manner of the affectation that has existed and does exist in the body itself.

7. This, then, produces a severe pain at the periods, and makes for the effect upon the activity of the kidneys, the organs of the pelvis, and the character of headaches experienced. Also there is the effect produced which is contributory to the digestive disturbances in body, the

467-1 Page 2

inability for the activities of normalcy through the periods, and the bearing down pains in the lower extremities when being long on feet; the ineffectiveness in creating proper digestive forces for the system, or for the body to be normal in its diet or desire for diet.

8. As to the affectation, this exists in the 11th and 12th dorsal center, reflexly in the 4th lumbar and a second reflex to hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus, in the 3rd and 4th cervical area; these are reflex conditions in the upper portion, and parts of the digestive system.

9. The ORGANS themselves:

10. The effect to the sympathetic nervous system causes disturbances to the organs of the sensory system, by or through impoverishment rather than through any other form of affectation; though there is the natural congestion that arises from the condition in the blood supply, the lack of elements for proper coagulation and at other times for creating the distribution of forces that will work actively in eradicating poisons or congestion or the elements that cause distress in the leucocyte body.

11. Hence we tend to have a form of catarrhal condition in all the muco-membranes of head, throat, bronchials; and should these become more effective as the the condition progresses (and unless the changes in the body are such as to overcome these) they will cause greater distresses in various forms to this body. As indicated, these are somewhat sympathetic as yet, and with the correction of the SPECIFIC conditions and the building up of a general condition in the body for effective resistance in the system these would be overcome, as there would be built the effective resistance to meet the needs of the general conditions through the system.

12. These are the same through the activity of the organs of the body, save those specific conditions that exist in the pelvis area.

13. Then, in meeting the needs of the conditions that exist in the present, as we would find, this would be the better way and manner:

14. First we would begin with the deep manipulations osteopathically given, to make correction of subluxations and impingements in the dorsal and lumbar area.

15. We would also give at least two or three local treatments with packs for straightening the womb itself in the pelvis, which will overcome the tendencies for the pains at periods and the tendency for leucorrhea, in the activity of the vagina and the organs of the pelvis itself. These would be given at least a month apart.

16. In between times, when the manipulations or corrections are given osteopathically, the treatments should be about twice a week.

17. And once a week use the violet ray applicator that would be injected in the vagina itself, for once to one and a half minutes; not too strong.

18. We would also take internally the properties that may be found in Tonicine, that is a preparation of the organs that are showing gestation through a physical condition existent in the body, that disturbs them in their activity - which portions are of the ovum and the activity with other glands that are active in the body itself, that are preserved in alcohol.

19. Three to ten days before the periods, begin taking half a teaspoonful of the Tonicine in water twice each day, morning before breakfast and evenings just before retiring; half a teaspoonful in half a glass of water.

20. The diet should be made more of the alkalin nature, or this would be given as an outline - though naturally it may be changed at times:

21. Mornings - citrus fruit juices, or fruits such as oranges, pears, grapes, plumbs, or the like. Or cereals, preferably the whole wheat, but do not eat the fruits and the fruit juices at the same meal with cereals - cooked cereals. The cooked cereals should preferably be of the whole wheat nature, or the oaten.

22. Noons - whole green vegetables, or at times these may be altered with fruits or juices of fruits or the juices of vegetables or of the meats; these occasionally.

23. Evenings - a well cooked vegetable diet, but principally those vegetables that grow ABOVE the ground; for the vegetables of a tuberous nature affect a system such as this. Hence the leafy vegetables more than the bulbous ones or those grown under ground; though one under ground may be taken to two above ground. Meats should be preferably of lamb or fowl or wild game, but no fried meats, breads or vegetables at any time.

24. Ready for questions.

25. (Q) What can be done to remedy constipation? (A) This diet, the actions as related to the diet, will make for a relief in this direction. When necessary take high enemas, but keep watching the diet and such tendencies may be eliminated.

(If Tonicine may not be obtained from your local druggist, it may be ordered direct from Reed & Carnrick, Jersey City, N.J. As you perhaps know, the vaginal packs may be given by your osteopath. I hope that neither you nor Mr. [461] have any trouble carrying out the entire treatment outlined for you. Let us know. GD.)
