Time of Reading 11:25 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Mich. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [470], this we have had before.

2. As we find, an acute condition has arisen from infectious forces that produce temperature in the blood, through the activity of those infections.

3. We find that particular care must be taken, especially for the digestive system and those disturbances that have existed in the lungs and in the liver and lower hepatic circulation.

4. Hence no very stringent eliminants should be given, unless more acute conditions arise; though laxatives should be a part of the application - with the manipulations to reduce the temperature and to stimulate the drainages from the respiratory system and through the alimentary canal. These will reduce the temperature.

5. Also to aid in reducing temperature we would bathe the spinal column with GRAIN alcohol; not rub but GRAIN alcohol - the temples, the head, the neck and especially the upper portion of the spine and extend this on down. This as we find would be the suggestion for the precautionary measures.

6. Keep the body warm, and the feet; but do not have too much of other than fresh air for the body.

7. Be mindful there are no solid or heavy foods taken. Keep rather a semi-liquid diet.

8. Also enemas will aid; not too high and not too cold nor yet too hot; just a little bit below body temperature, see? ninety-six or ninety-four (96' or 94') degrees should be the temperature of the water used. Use these preferably with soda and very little salt; that is, to a quart of water put a level teaspoonful of soda and a quarter teaspoonful of table salt; thoroughly dissolved before being used.

9. Have the manipulations not too deep, but at least once or twice a day until the temperature is controlled.

10. Ready for questions.

11. (Q) What laxative would you advise using?

(A) Castoria. Taken in small doses is preferable to large doses; half a teaspoonful every half an hour until there is a thorough relaxation - AFTER the second or third manipulation is given.

12. (Q) What produced the infectious forces? (A) Fever or temperature that arises in the blood from a form of strep. Mighty close to a very bad temperature, or that of typhus - or typhoid, as combined with pleural disturbance.

13. We are through for the present. Copy to Wife - Special - Phoned also " " Ass'n file
