Time of Reading 11:10 to 11:25 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, Mrs. [472].
2. Now, as we find, the conditions physically are much better than they have been in the past. There are still some disturbances that prevent the better physical functioning of the body; yet, as we find, there may be given in the present that which will prevent recurrent conditions, and will give the stimuli to certain portions of the system such as to make for a better reaction throughout the general physical forces of the body, Mrs. [472].
3. These, then, are the conditions in general as we find them in the physical forces of the body.
4. In the BLOOD STREAM we find a tendency for a separation in the elements that make for building of resistances in a physical organism. Hence at times we find there are those tendencies for the metabolism to be somewhat disturbed. While not an organic disorder in the heart's reaction, the pressures that are produced in the portions of the colon area - and the engorgement in a portion of the liver itself - make for a shortening of the breath (at periods) and the tendency for the activity in the heart's action to be rather changeable in its pulsation. For, we may find it in the one period 79 to 80, while in a day or two - as in the present - 84, and in two or three days nearer 90 and 93. These changes are dependent upon the attempts or the abilities of the system to adjust itself to the variations in this distribution, in the slowing up of of the blood supply through various portions of the blood stream channels themselves. Not that there is as yet that which may be termed a hardening in the arterial circulation. Rather is it the attempt of the circulatory system, through the activities of the mental forces of the body in which it has been engaged, to create rather a normal balance, or towards a normal balance, for the system itself. For, as we have indicated, there have been many changes wrought in the body
472-1 Page 2
through its mental activity as well as the manner in which there has been care taken for the adjustments to those disorders that have arisen with the organs of not only the circulatory system but that which creates in the liver and hepatic circulation a balance between the assimilated forces in the system. But the engorgement in the liver itself tends to make for those influences in the activity of the body in the eliminations of the digested forces in the body to produce digestion, that is disturbed in the lower intestinal tract more than in the stomach itself; for those precautions have been taken respecting the digestive forces in the stomach area itself, while these are now tending to be in an active force in the lower digestive area.
5. There has also existed, and does as yet, an engorgement or a tendency for the movements through the colon area itself; especially in the upper transverse portion of same, to the left side and to the turn to the descending colon - a SMOOTHING of the inner walls, as it were, and an engorgement; which has made for tendencies in times before this for gas forces, or fermentations, in the digestive forces. Hence a general reaction towards the preventative measures, and a stimuli towards producing better reactions in organs of the system as related to impulses that make for their activity from the circulation, and the stimuli needed in the nerve impulses in the body, would make for the better conditions to this body here, Mrs. [472] we are speaking of.
6. Hence, in the NERVE FORCES we have ganglia in various portions of the body that make for heaviness in the left side. We have the evidences in the lower portion of the dorsal and lumbar area, that make for this fullness at times through the eliminating forces in the activity of the eliminating channels of the system. We also have disturbances in the ORGANS themselves, as indicated.
7. In meeting, then, the needs as we find would be the better, there should be the general manipulations that may be given in the osteopathic adjustments and treatments; periods of one to two weeks and almost the same period of rest; lasting in such a treatment for six to eight weeks, combining the whole period of rest and the treatments twice each week.
8. We would also find that there would be material aid to the body with the application of the Radio-Active Appliance, for a creating of a normal balance in the circulation. Apply this to the extremities of the body, to be sure, and it will make for better rest, overcoming the tendencies of the easily making for taxation to the system, to those periods when insomnia disturbs the body; at other periods
472-1 Page 3
when the reactions of the system are towards so easily tiring out; heaviness in the feet, pains in the back, the fullness in the right side - would be overcome. Make the applications to the wrist each time first, then to the ankle, for at least thirty minutes to an hour each day.
9. Ready for questions.
10. (Q) Any advice regarding the diet? (A) These have been cared for very well. Keep much in the same way and manner, changing only as corrective forces are added by the manipulator, or the adjustments in the cerebrospinal system, that would make for keeping much in line with that being changed by such administrations. Do these, as we have outlined, and - as we find - we would bring the much bettered condition for this body.
11. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (For your information, in case reading is to be followed: We would refer you to Mrs. [255]'s osteopath, who has had experience with following the readings: Dr. Frank Dobbins, 551 Fifth Ave., New York City. The Radio-Active Appliance may be obtained from Mr. Gray Salter, Route 2, Box 20, Hopkinsville, Ky. I believe the price of the type appliance recommended for you is $12.50. If there is anything not entirely clear about the treatment, please let us hear from you; for our whole purpose is to be of help if possible. GD)
