Time of Reading 9:10 to 9:45 P. M.

1. GC: You will have before you Study Group #3, members of which are present in this room. You will give a mental and spiritual reading for the group, and answer the questions that may be asked.

2. EC: Yes, we have Study Group #3, members of which are present in this room.

3. In considering the mental and spiritual aspects or needs of the group as a group, these may be enjoined by the study of any text that may be chosen by same, as the lessons that are being considered.

4. In the application of that gained by the study of same, this must be an individual application of same; in unison, in cooperation, in knowing thyself, in love, in all that may be gained by those meditations within, and in the study and reasoning together. These are well. And the applications in individuals and individual instances have made for a mental and spiritual growth in this group.

5. WELL, then, hast thou chosen. Be not weary in thy well-doing. Let that mind be in each of you that was in Him, who thought it not robbery to make Himself equal with God, but made Himself of no estate, that whereby many, whereby man, whereby those to whom He might become the Savior, the channel of approach, the intercessor for those who would approach the Throne of grace; making law, making rote, making that which would make men afraid, as naught in the experiences of those (as ye) who put their whole trust in God. Not, then, in this or that manner, irrespective of the other's thoughts or feelings, but all studying themselves to show THEMSELVES approved unto God, rightly divining the words of truth, keeping self from reproach, reproach of self, reproach of others, and unspotted from the world. Thus may the group as a group, thus may the

473-2 Page 2

individual members of the group go on in the nurture, the admonition of the words of truth that are presented by Him, the Author, the Giver of truth itself. Thus may they hold high the banner of the Lord their God, their Savior Jesus, the Christ. In Him, will ye glory; not in thyself, for He made Himself of no estate. And as He gave, "I of myself can do nothing." Let each in the group, realize, practice this in their every activity and thus become aware of the indwelling of that promise, "If ye love me and keep my commandments I will come and abide with thee." Thou believest; wilt thou but act in that manner! Wilt thou be afraid when thou art called? Wilt thou be even as Peter who cried out in dismay at the storms of life; will ye cry out at the disappointments in thy daily experience with thy brother, the unkindnesses and the selfishness shown here and there? Rather will ye spend thineselves that He, thy Christ, thy Lord, has not given His life, Himself, made His sacrifice in vain. For if ye would know the truth, the truth will make you free; free in that ye know ye abide in Him; ye take no thought of the morrow as to good or evil, for each day is sufficient unto itself; LIVING life as He has directed thee, meeting Him in the temple of thy body. Let each, then, present their bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto Him; and it is but a reasonable service. For the glorious, joyous life may be thine indeed if ye will but live, not as mere tenets, not as mere trite sayings, but as thy life, as thy thought. For as ye think in thine heart, and ye separate thy Lord from thyself; wilt thou bid Him come with thee in every word, in every act, in the associations that thou goest about to do? Would thou speak unkindly in His presence? Doth His presence abide with thee, dost thou believe? They that put on Christ find Him nearer even than the hand. They that would know Him become one with Him.

6. Ready for questions.

7. (Q) As I call the names, you will give a message that will meet each individual's needs. First: [1236]: (A) Let thy light so shine unto others that ye may constrain to glorify the Christ thou lovest.

8. (Q) [513]: (A) As the day and the night give forth in their glory one with another to the glory of the Father, so let THY going in, thy coming out, thy associations with thy fellow man, MAGNIFY thy Lord, thy God.

9. (Q) [555]: (A) Keep the faith. For they that put on the Christ ARE His indeed, and as ye do it unto the least of His brethren

473-2 Page 3

ye do it unto Him, THY Lord. O that men everywhere would learn that, "As ye do it unto thy fellow man ye do it unto thy God."

10. (Q) [307]: (A) Let thy heart be lifted ever in praise for the oppor- tunity of service to thy fellow man.

11. (Q) [5773]: (A) Keep the heart singing, even though the cares of this world would make the WEAK afraid. Trust in thy Lord, for His strength, His grace is sufficient UNTO thee.

12. (Q) [413]: (A) As the light of thy activity bespeaketh thy love of thy God, so may the joy in His love for thee strengthen and keep thee day by day.

13. (Q) [1016]: (A) Be patient; be kind; be gentle. For he that waiteth on the Lord shall KNOW Him as He is. For he counteth not as man, for His blessings will sustain and will guide thee, ever.

14. (Q) [983]: (A) Be found in the joys of the Lord ever. Let thy heart and thy mind make the joyful noise unto thy God, for the beauty of the service in the Christ stands before the Throne of grace, ever.

15. (Q) [845]: (A) Let the love of the Father constrain thee, even as it has held thee. Abide thou in the shadow of His wings, for they shall cover thee in the hour of temptation and sorrow. He shall bear thee up and keep thee, ever.

16. (Q) [913]: (A) As the Father hath loved thee even in the gift of thy opportunities, of thy responsibilities, so let thy hands, thy mind, be kept busy in making known the joyful day of the Lord is at hand to those that would know His way.

17. (Q) [478]: (A) As the glory of thy strength in the Lord has made thee to see, hast made thee to trust, hast strengthened thy faith, so may the prayer of the righteous save the sick, so may the prayer of him that seeks to be a channel of blessing draw a brother close to the Lord.

18. (Q) [289]: (A) Let not the cares of the world disturb thee, for those things that are of the earth-earthy pass away - even as the mist before the noonday sun. He that hath found the Lord and taken HIM as his companion shall melt away the cares even as the sun.

19. (Q) [1834]:

473-2 Page 4

(A) Keep in the way that thou knowest to go, for it is right in the eyes of the Lord. Comfort the weak; cherish the downtrodden; give praise for thy strength in the Lord. Through thee much good may come to many.

20. (Q) [582]: (A) The law of the Lord is perfect and converteth the soul of those that would listen. Not in some deed of valor lest some would honor themselves, but rather in the kind word here, a word fitly spoken there. For here a little, there a little and the growth is from within; and will shine out to those - if ye do take Him as thy companion.

21. (Q) [603]: (A) In the praise of the Lord let the heart sing also, knowing that in due season the purposes, the desires of the heart must find their manifestations in the material things. What is thy building for thy entertaining of thy Lord? Glory in the strength of His might through the work of thy hands.

22. (Q) [636]: (A) As the desire of thy heart is unto the glory of thy God, as thyself is a channel and a sign, a way for the expressions of His love among thy fellow man, so make thy paths as the paths of those that love His coming. For the glory of the Father is in just being kind today.

23. (Q) Effie Brooks: (A) Let thy heart not be sad. Lift up thine eyes unto the hills of the Lord. For from Him cometh strength. Trust not in thyself, but in the good, the Lord, the love of the Lord that thou may show unto thy fellow man.

24. We are through.
