1. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.
2. As we find, there are acute disturbances that arise from the effect of hindrances in eliminations and the activity of the circulation upon the system from cold, congestion, that tends to prevent the proper assimilations having their proper effect upon the distribution of the energies through the system.
3. Hence we have those conditions like a rigor or an over-nervousness, with headaches and the effect of disturbances through the general assimilating system.
4. As we find, it would be necessary that there be general eliminations set up, but not in such violent manners as to cause too great a flow of the lymph through the alimentary canal.
5. Hence the use of such eliminants as a combination of Syrup of Figs and Fletcher's Castoria, alternated. The dosage would be a quarter to half a teaspoonful of each of these, one taken every half hour - alternated, you see - until there are full eliminations.
6. Also we would begin immediately with the use of equal parts of Mutton Suet, Turpentine, Spirits of Camphor and Compound Tincture of Benzoin, heated and applied in a flannel across the abdomen and around the small of the back - and this to be kept warm until the eliminations are set up. It should be kept on for an hour to an hour and a half at a time; this should be sufficient usage of same in the next twenty-four to forty-eight hours.
7. Each day we would have the osteopathic treatment of the general nature, making for the coordination of the nerve forces and centers through the system.
8. Thus we should overcome these conditions.
9. For the throat, the mucous membranes of the head and the effect of same upon the stomach, we would use a combination in THIS manner for THIS body:

10. Beat the white of a fresh egg; one that has not been iced or in cold storage. Do not use the yolk of the egg; only the white. Beat this thoroughly. As it is being beaten, add - very slowly - a teaspoonful of honey with the juice of one lemon. Both of these would be added very slowly, or in very small quantities at the time and stirred. Then, to make for a cutting to the mucous membranes, add - very slowly - five minims (drops) of Glycerine with three to five drops of Syrup of Ipecac. The dose of this combination would be a teaspoonful to two teaspoonsful every hour. This, of course, would not be taken until the eliminations have been effected through the combination or alternation of the Syrup of Figs and Castoria.
11. In the matter of the diet, we would have those things that tend to make for heat for the body without too much of fats; but proteins sufficient that we may balance the bodily usages or effect of activities. Especially we would have these for the next few days, or until the eliminations have been set up and the coordinations have been reestablished through the activities of the system. Then the general stimulating forces that have been given should be kept well balanced in the system.
12. Ready for questions.
13. (Q) What proteins would be best to be given? (A) Liver, beef, mutton or the like, if these are NOT fried. Beans and the like are also helpful.
14. (Q) Should the osteopathic treatments be given at the same time the flannel with the combination is being used? (A) Not necessarily; for the flannel would be applied rather AFTER the osteopathic treatments, you see - or to keep the body quiet and to let it rest. And it should be around the abdomen, of course, or around the back; or wrap around the waist of the body.
15. (Q) Are all treatments being given properly? Should anything be added now? (A) Those as suggested for the immediate conditions that have arisen from the cold and congestion that have affected the activities of the system as indicated and that are acute. Keep the rest of those in the way and manner as given. Keep the feet dry.
16. (Q) Should she discontinue taking the Simmon's Liver Regulator? (A) During this period of treatment we would discontinue. This may be continued when there are the reestablishments, and used as an aid for digestion and elimination. However, as we find, it would be MORE effective if ALTERED with Zilatone.

17. (Q) Any other advice for the body at this time? (A) Be a little patient with self and take the care and precautions, and we will find the responses will be the better for this body. Do not become overanxious but keep down the poisons that arise, from those congestions as well as from the nervous reactions.
