Time of Reading 3:35 to 3:50 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Detroit, Mich. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [480].

2. As we find, conditions are developing rather normally. The activities of the body (and the body dependent upon the body) indicate there is nominal, normal development.

3. There only needs be then those precautions as respecting the activities, keeping rather to those suggestions that have been indicated for bodily functions.

4. Be careful that there are no accidents or overtaxations, yet the exercise, the walking - but use gradually now the supports (the abdominal).

5. Thus we should find little disturbance, and the normal conditions.

6. Ready for questions.

7. (Q) Is the child developing properly and is it in good position? (A) Very good. It changes. This is after the periods, of course, when there are particular movements. Hence there should be no undue excitement, yet plenty of that which is of the nature of not anxiety but joyousness; good company; that which is, of course, not overexciting yet that brings about expectancy. These as we find are the better for making the proper movements and positions. Well that within the next month or six weeks there be those examinations as for positions, by physician in charge of the period of deliverance. This should be near to the middle of the month - and the periods of expectancy are near to correct.

8. (Q) Approximately how far developed as to weeks is it? (A) As has just been given, it's approximately near to correct as figured.

9. (Q) My mouth has seemed quite dry - what can be done for same? (A) Rinse same with a little elm water occasionally; this is helpful; or a little sweet gum (this better fresh). Any of these as a rinse for the mouth, you see, and then if any

of it is swallowed it is all the better for the general condition of the body. Watch or be mindful of the kidneys. Hence either of these rinses is well for the general system. The proportions would be about a pinch of the elm to a glass of water. Or if the Balsam is used, this - of course - should be cut, unless fresh is used and then it is prepared much as the elm water.

10. (Q) Dr. O'Connor [I. L. O'Connor, D.O.] [3/22/37 Wire: "We told him about you. He is interested. Sent him TIR (preface - See under 1800-26 Reports)."] wishes to know what type of anaesthetic would be best in this case? (A) This will depend upon activities now in the next two months, you see. In this particular type, however, it would be better that the rectal anaesthesia be used; as this - with the character of the general or specific osteopathic movements - will make it easier for the body. [GD's note: Baby was born dead on 7/6/37, around 7 A.M., after 14 hrs. hard labor. Apparently too much rectal anaesthetic was used and too soon. See subsequent Ck. Physicals - 480-37, etc.]

11. (Q) Any particular make of support for this body? (A) This had best be fitted or adapted by an obstetric nurse.

12. (Q) Any warning as to specific accidents? (A) No; the general, as has been intimated. Slipping or falling in going up steps is the most dangerous.

13. (Q) Any other advice for the body at this time? (A) Keep that constructive attitude of gladness and hopefulness. This will have much to do with not only the temperament for self but for the body dependent upon the activities and care of the body in the present.
