Time of Reading 4:05 to 4:15 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Michigan. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [481].
2. There have been many changes in the general physical forces of the body since last we had same here.
3. In the present we find there is the tendency for recuperation from specific disturbances through the pulmonaries; especially the left - more than the right - and the capsule or the pleura about same.
4. There is the inclination for the accumulation of fluid.
5. As we find, if this is continued - or if it continues it may become a very destructive influence.
6. To prevent this, it will require that there be taken sufficient time for the body to recuperate FROM same without great amount of physical activity.
7. However, if there are precautions taken the activity may possibly be continued without a great deal of discomfort - until a little later on; then this will have to be a choice of the entity, the body, as to just how and in what manner it will conduct itself in respect to same. These are the precautions:
8. About twice a week we would have a Steam Bath; such as may be had in the "Y" or in the Turkish Bath. But when such is done there must be precautions taken that the body is not exposed too much to night air afterwards; else this would produce greater irritation than help.
9. Then there must be the precautions as to the diet, as to the activities in keeping the feet and body dry and warm, and as to the purifying of those areas where there is the inclination from the fluids to cause an adherence - and this tends to make for deeper irritation, of cough, of pain, of a little temperature through the body.
10. Then, as an expectorant - and for a healing with same - we would prepare this:
11. Put 2 ounces of Strained Pure Honey in 2 ounces of Distilled Water. Let come to a boil. Skin off the refuse. Then add, in the order named:
481-3 Page 2
Syrup of Wild Cherry Bark...............1 ounce, Glycerine...........................1 1/4 ounces, Syrup of Rhubarb......................1/4 ounce, Syrup of Horehound....................1/2 ounce, Gordon Gin..............................2 ounces. Shake the solution, not too hard but shake it before the dose is taken; which would be a teaspoonful three to four times each day.
12. Of an evening just before retiring take one grain of Calcidin.
13. These as we find, with the proper precautions, and with the occasional general manipulations to stimulate eliminations, will be the better forces for the body.
14. Beware of overloading the system with too much meats at any one time. Beware of fried foods.
15. Do these for the better condition of this body.
16. Ready for questions.
17. (Q) Would it be better for the body to take a rest and go home to ... [Tenn.]? (A) Would be BETTER! but the circumstances must be a matter of choice with the body!
18. (Q) If it should decide to go home, would the treatment be the same? (A) The same treatment.
19. (Q) Was this condition what is commonly called bronchial pleurisy? (A) Well, it's more of the lower lung pleurisy, though the bronchi were of course - affected.
