Time of Reading 12:25 to 12:45 P. M. Eastern Standard Time.

1. GC: You will have before you the entity known as [487], present in this room. Considering his past and present development, together with opportunities in this present life, you will advise him regarding his selection of a life's work and educational training for same. You will answer the questions he will submit.

2. EC: Yes, we have the entity here, with those experiences and conditions through which the entity has applied self in that called the earth's experience.

3. In advising, RATHER would there be COUNSEL - and then the choice made by self. For, as may be noted from the experiences, there has been that period or experience in which there were the varied phases of choice made. And these brought with them, as does choice ever, that to which that law as in destiny brings for the mind, the body, the soul for each entity.

4. Hence in the counsel in the present, first would there be made within self as to what IS the ideal. Are the talents, the mind, the body, to be used in those directions that will bring the satisfying of a desire as to one of power, fame, fortune, or is the effort to be in that of the greatest good for ALL - not forgetting self's soul's own manifestation before and with its Maker?

5. As indicated in those experiences of the entity, there are innate abilities within the ENTITY'S experience. And by mental and material applications these experiences, these abilities, these innate qualifications may be brought to material manifestations the greater in the scientific and in a mechanical manner, as to bring to others pleasure or convenience, or that which may be made constructive in the physical experiences of all.

6. These, as we find, may be had the GREATER, in the present, in what would be termed the chemical engineering - or those of related subjects. But choose thou FIRST as to what is thy IDEAL, and then work, prepare, labor, and go

towards that as thy goal, in any or all of those fields of activity, and turn them NOT into destructive forces in the experience of human souls! for these will present themselves often.

7. Ready for questions.

8. (Q) Considering all conditions, to which of the following should I go? Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, or Duke University? (A) As WE would find, the most feasible would be to IMMEDIATELY - after the preparations, or the graduations - prepare for the entrance into Duke for one year of active service, maintaining with same that of the scholarship and direction to the Massachusett School of Technology.

9. (Q) Any suggestion regarding securing the scholarship for Duke? (A) This will be with the application through the regular channels, and with the ADDED associations with those of the higher or advanced sciences of personal touch or association, an easy or direct way of approach with those same activities towards the School of Technology.

10. (Q) Please explain just how we should go about securing the scholarship other than regular channels? (A) The direct and then the associations with those individuals that will be established between now and the period of enrollment, would make for not ONLY the more accessibleness of securing same, but through the regular channel and then through this. But using that as the direct associations for the Technology.

11. (Q) In attending Duke University, what course should I take up? (A) This depends upon what has been the choice of the subjects, or of that to which its goal is to be. The NATURAL thing would be either chemical engineering, electrical engineering, or the stationary will naturally be physics - and these will offer a channel through which, WITH the rest of the mathematics that are necessary for the entrance or matriculation in the technical institution.

12. (Q) Considering my abilities and best well-rounded development, what athletics should I go out for in Duke? (A) Tennis, soccer, baseball.

13. (Q) In preparation for my work in Duke in technology, would you suggest any specific books that would be of help to me to read before entering school? (A) The New Testament will be the best one, and then those of the kindred subjects that are the choice of the body. These are the better, as to any specifics. These would be rather along on ANY of the lines in which the body chooses.

Some good subjects on physics - that is, elementary physics. Some of those on the chemical reactions, and then the activities of same. And when you work this - it's four years from now, but work on this: Electrify, through the chemical change, that of sodium and calcium combinations for its RADIAL effect.
