This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest W. Zentgraf, 400 St. Paul''s Ave. Stapleton, S.I., N.Y., this 29th day of January, 1934, in accordance with request made by self - Miss [501], Active Member of the Ass''n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

P R E S E N T

R E A D I N G

Time of Reading 4:00 to 4:15 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [501]; this we have had before.

2. Now, as we find, there are many changes in the general physical forces of the body since last we had same here. Not all of these have been for the better physical functioning of the body, yet some conditions that have occurred in the body are those things or changes that have been wrought by accident. Taken advantage of, we may find a great deal better reaction in the abilities for creating recuperative forces throughout.

3. There has been, as indicated, some very radical change in centers along the cerebrospinal system, from a shock. Especially has there been some loosening that is necessary in the segments of the cerebrospinal forces, but there must be the proper correction and proper coordination of all those influencing and all those influenced by the activities of the ganglia that have been making for distortion, either in the reaction or in the activity with the functioning of organs through the system.

4. There is not as good an assimilation as there should exist, which is indicated by there not being brought a better building in the blood supply of the body. And the anemia that has existed still exists, and will in a greater activity - unless there are corrections in the cerebrospinal system, unless there is greater precaution taken respecting the diets and that which may be more easily assimilated, and those things that will make for the proper balance or the building up for the body the influences in the system that will bring about better reaction.

5. We would find, then, that an alignment with adjustments will be necessary along the whole of the cerebrospinal system, specifically in the end of the spine, in the upper dorsal and in the lumbar area. These are the specific areas

that the greater alignment may be had with the general treatments. As we find, it would be better that these be made osteopathically, with the general manipulations made in that way and manner.

6. As to those things for the diet, and for those things that may build up or replenish the system, there should be less of starch and more of those that will carry proteins and fats - just so they are administered or given in such a way and manner as may better assimilated by the body. Hence, this would be given as an outline; though there is no use to begin unless it will be carried sufficiently for the reaction to be the more helpful to the body - for these will work with the general assimilations of the system, with the manipulations as will make for the adjustments and corrections in the body at this time:

7. Mornings - citrus fruit juices, with a little wafer or oaten or corn meal, with tea or coffee.

8. Noons - preferably only beef juice; not soups, not stews, but the juice of beef, taken with a whole wheat wafer or toasted whole wheat bread, or Graham wafer, or the whole wheat wafers that are salted. At this period there should be taken as much as two tablespoonsful or more of the beef juice. There may also be taken green vegetables, not only in color but all raw vegetables - and these may be green or they may be yellow, as with the carrots, or any that are easily assimilated - and these mixed, see? with the oils that are preferable as the dressing. For, olive oil should be taken at all times; only that as will be assimilated by the body. Not in spoonsful, but a few drops at the time, three, four, five times each day - just enough so that the assimilations may be perfect throughout the system; and don't take it one day and leave it off for four or five, but take it EACH day for WEEKS at that time - then rest from same.

9. Evenings - well balanced whole vegetables, with little of the meats - if any - and when meats are taken they should be of fish or fowl or mutton; no beef meat, but the JUICES of the beef may be taken, or SHOULD be taken. Liver, souse, (not pickled), pig feet, tripe, all of these may be included at some time in the evening meals.

10. Do this and, as we will find, we will bring the better physical reactions for this body, [501].

12. (Q) Will the treatment outlined help me to gain weight? (A) That's what we are trying to do! If you will follow these, not one day and then stop or skip a day, but be consistent and be persistent, we will find the strength of

the body will be built up. Not too much sugars in the cooking, or in the things that are eaten, but those that will replenish an impoverished blood supply. As indicated, there have been some conditions that have been heretofore noted as to the position of organs, as to the necessity of their being changed for the better reactions in the body. They have been shaken up sufficiently; now take advantage of it in making for the reactions. There will be periods with the treatments when the body will not feel so good, and others when it feels still worse than that - but if it will be persistent and consistent, we will find we will bring better physical forces for this body.

13. (Q) What is the condition of the heart? (A) From the pressures that have existed at times, there are periods when there is the attempt of the heart - or the nerves and muscles - to adjust itself to gas pressures. It is very good in its organic functioning. The interferences from the very low quantity, and quality of the blood supply that gets very weak; at other times rather fast, in the attempt to supply necessary forces for the body.

14. (Q) What is the condition of the lungs? (A) These, as indicated heretofore, do not expand their full, but if there'll be more blood builded - with the right character and right proportions in the food values as given to build red blood and fat, it'll be much better.

15. (Q) What is the condition of the liver? (A) Without anything to work upon, what would be the condition of most things! Follow these suggestions as we have outlined, if we would bring the better forces for this body.

16. (Q) Should any or all of lower teeth be extracted? (A) Those that show that the body is giving off that which forms pus in the conditions about same at their roots, remove. Others, local applications and treatments.

17. (Q) Any other suggestions for the body at this time? (A) These will be a handful if you will do these! But DO this consistently, persistently; and we will find we will bring better forces for the body.

18. (Q) Would it be advisable for the body to take Cod Liver Oil? (A) All the vitamins necessary at present will be found in the diet outlined, if this will be followed, to be better assimilated for this body than with Cod liver oil. Only vitamin D is of high prevalency in cod liver oil, in the way that most of it is prepared (because it could be done in a better way), but if there will be plenty of those foods taken as outlined, the divisions in the vitamin forces, D

will be found to be sufficient in same.

19. That is all the questions for this body.

20. A stimuli for strength, when weak, would be preferably in that which forms proper distributing of fermentations - as would be found in beer (if not too much is taken), or spiritus frumenti with egg and milk - taken in sips, don't take large quantities. This will aid in those periods when there is the lack of the strength, but do not DEPEND upon these. BUILD these in the body.

Put jar inside pan of water (water coming to about half the depth of jar). Boil until chunks of beef are thoroughly done. Strain. Keep juice in cool place. Take as directed.
