Time of Reading 3:50 to 4:15 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York, N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [502].
2. Now, as we find, there are conditions that are the impulses that are arising within the physical functioning of organs as related to varied disturbances that are seen in the blood supply, in specific functioning of organs, that will make for - if corrected in the present - the better reactions, and save a great deal of distress and disorder.
3. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [502] we are speaking of, present in this room:
4. First, in the BLOOD SUPPLY, we find the tendencies for conditions that make for a disorder throughout the blood stream. There is improper coordination between the upper and lower hepatic circulation.
5. Hence we have a tendency for such reactions in the assimilations of the body as to make for a pressure that produces in the kidney and in the spleen's reaction, with the pancreas, conditions that are not so good. Hence more of the katabolism than the metabolism is disturbed, yet both at times show for their reaction, dependent upon the functioning of the organs that have these impulses.
6. From the source of these impulses we find in the cerebrospinal nervous system. While the conditions that have been produced from the subluxations in the 8th and 9th dorsal, and reflexly in the cervicals, where there is a disturbance to the circulation through the activity of the sensory organisms, these must have in their corrections also the impulses in the activities of the organs themselves such consideration as to bring the effects both to the organs and to the impulse that has produced these disturbances.
7. In making, then, the reactions necessary, the requirements will be for elements that will function with
502-1 Page 2
the organisms disturbed, as well as correct the impulses that accompany the circulation, so that when the changes are wrought there will be in the assimilation those proper divisions that will make for elements within the body itself to supply the activity of secretions from the organs, as well as from glands, to produce in the body the proper coordinating effect.
8. In the ORGANS themselves, we find brain forces are very good.
9. The activities in the sympathetic and the sensory system make for disturbances or pressures to those portions of the circulation, as well as the activity from the impulse to disturb at times not only one portion of the sensory organism but at some times disturbs all of them. Hence we have a condition wherein the auditory forces, the vision, the taste, the impulses through the sympathetic system become involved, so that the activities to same are abnormal or subnormal in their reactions.
10. These, as we find, are not altogether of organic disorder, but rather of a reflex reaction. And if there is created for the system the activities that will remove the strain, through the impulse that is received from cerebrospinal reaction - and that will supply that within the blood stream itself as to renew and revivify the activities, all of these disorders will be relieved.
11. As to the activity of the respiratory system, we find this very good considering the anemitized condition of the blood supply through the impulses as indicated - or the toxic forces that occur at times from the digestive system, as from non-oxidization properly of the blood stream.
12. Heart forces not organically disturbed, but with the katabolism and the metabolism being disordered we find these make for repressions. And hence a condition that disturbs the activity, though not organic. Hence sympathetic in nature.
13. The digestive forces of the body make for a different reaction from the pancreas and spleen in its disturbance, and there have been produced those conditions in the duodenum where there are at times those activities that may be determined or called a reaction as of regurgitation. Hence a fullness that would occur if and under certain conditions that are eminent at times in the activities of the body.
14. In the organs of digestion, as indicated, with a disturbance in the pancreas that makes for the heaviness - and changes that occur in the circulation through the hepatics or the liver and kidneys as to toxic forces in the
502-1 Page 3
system, these are sympathetic, though at times are of such a nature as to appear to be causes rather than effects of conditions.
15. In meeting, then, the needs, as we would find for this body, first we would prepare as this:
16. To 16 ounces of distilled water we would add 6 ounces of dry sage. Reduce this by slow boiling, not boiling too heavily but slowly, to 8 ounces - when strained off. Strain while warm and add: Gordon Gin.....................4 ounces, Cut 15 grains of Ambergris in 1 ounce of pure alcohol and then add: Tincture of Valerian.........1/4 ounce, And Sufficient Cinnamon (in the stick) so that it may be cut by those activities of the alcoholic content in the solution, which would be 3 drams; preferably in the stick rather than ground. Shake the solution before the dose is taken, which would be a teaspoonful before each meal and upon retiring.
17. The reactions of these are for the organs that have shown disturbance, as well as to make for better assimilation, creating in the activities of that assimilated sufficient of the properties to make for a better reaction.
18. When these properties have been taken for from five to six days, and there is the reaction in the body of those properties through the eliminations in the system, begin with the corrections in the dorsal area as indicated, and sympathetically through the upper cervical and upper dorsal area, as to relieve those pressures through this portion of the system, that makes for tendencies in the nerve supplies to the body.
19. And we will find that in six to eight weeks we may make for near normal reactions in this body.
20. Ready for questions.
21. (Q) How often should the treatments be given, and how should they be given? (A) They should be given in such a way and manner as to make for the relieving of the pressures in the 8th and 9th dorsals specific, and reflexly - of course - through the hypogastric and pneumogastric area in the cervical body, and this should be done at least twice each week for six to ten treatments. This, as we find, may be preferably done osteopathically.
22. (Q) Will the treatment as outlined relieve the condition in the eyes?
502-1 Page 4
(A) It will relieve those tendencies for the activities of the system to prevent the proper circulation through the eyes, and make coordination between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal system as related to these. Hence prevent the use of aids in vision, and relieve that burning and lid sensation that has existed also.
23. (Q) Would chiropractic treatments be as beneficial as osteopathic treatments in this case? (A) As we find, the osteopathic that makes for coordination between conditions where disturbances exist would be preferable to chiropractic in this particular condition. There ARE conditions where chiropractic, without too much massage, may be as beneficial - but not where there is needed the coordination and the necessity of approaching not only effects but also causes.
24. (Q) Will the treatments suggested relieve the loss of hair? (A) Anything that makes for proper circulation to all portions of the body aids all parts of the body, see? When there are reactions for scalp application, if these are from a general condition, such treatments would be beneficial. If these are from specific conditions, as from dandruff or infectious forces that cause less stimulation to the scalp itself, such applications would not be beneficial. As these are general, as has been indicated through the disturbances in glands - as in the activity of the thyroids, that make for the accumulations and the secretions properly as to furnish the coverings of portions of the body, as also to the activity of the nails' activity and all parts where there is the necessity of their proper accumulations, the stimulation that we have given for the internal activity of the body in the properties outlined would be well. See, the sage as combined with the ambergris and the valerian - that acts with the nerve forces, also with the stimulations to the lymph circulation of the body, acting with the superficial circulation that produces to the scalp itself, as it were, also the tendencies for rashes that have occurred at times over various portions of the body. Do these, and, as we find, we will bring to this body a normal reaction. Begin first with the properties internally, that there may be the coordination with the rest of the system for the applications in corrections given, see, and we will find these will bring results. Do that.
502-1 Page 5
25. (Q) When should the internal treatment, or the tonic, be discontinued? (A) When the whole quantity as given here has been taken, you see - which makes - 8 and 4 is 12 - be nearly 16 ounces of this, taken in the teaspoonful, you see, will be - for the properties as divided - about - between six and seven weeks, taken each day, see? The body should be near normal by the end of that time.
26. (Q) Is there any serious condition in this body, as you see, that may cause death to the body at an early time? (A) No indications in the present, save as outlined that there are tendencies for the aggravation to organs of the system that might make for a low and slow reaction that would make for disintegration, or turn suddenly into specific conditions or becoming acute might hasten the condition. Hence, as given, make the corrections in the present - and this would prevent these occurrences in the system, and make for a better physical body for the mental and spiritual to act through. Do that.
27. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (GD's notes at the time of the reading: Notations to facilitate following reading suggestions as given: If you cannot get the prescription filled by your local druggist, we would suggest that you get in touch with Wickersham Apothecary, in the Wickersham Bldg., New York City. The man in charge there has told us that he would be glad to fill all prescriptions that come through these sources. Also, if you do not know a good osteopath whom you prefer, we would recommend Dr. Frank Dobbins, 551 Fifth Avenue, New York City, who has had experience with following reading directions - and with marvellous results. The enclosed notations to each of these might be of use, in case you do not wish to show your whole reading.)
