1. EC: Yes, we have the conditions here, [521].
2. Now, as we find, there is rather a complex condition, when it is viewed from the internal disturbances that produce the incoordinations in the system.
3. As we find, these conditions exist with this body, [521] we are speaking of:
4. In times back, not of a prenatal condition but when the body was in the first years of its experience in this life, it had an accident or a subluxation was produced by a fall. And this subluxation in the lumbar area has caused the growth or adherence in the area of the adrenals, that has made a thickening of the walls in the area of the assimilations that are passed to these glands from the lacteals; causing also in the caecum area a lack of space in the ducts from the jejunum to the colon area. And this, combined with the diets that either aid or take from the conditions in the supply to the pathological conditions produced in assimilation, makes for the spells of incoordinating in the cerebrospinal and sympathetic nerve system, as these impulses for activity in the areas indicated are governed more by sympathetic reaction than otherwise, save as to the normal flow of impulse through the nerves of the system.
5. Hence we have the complications that are indicated from a spasmodic condition in the nerve system, and affecting the sympathetics, and to the face, to the head, and through those ducts that lead to brain's reaction from pressures in the system.
6. In making application for beneficial effects, to add only properties that will subjugate or prevent the contraction in centers that stimulate this incoordinating activity is not curative and rarely would there be such conditions aided even temporarily, except for the spasmodic reactions that
521-1 Page 2
might be created by a hypnotic or narcotic at such a period. But these reactions, or the reactions from such applications, would tend to be detrimental and more complicating in the conditions.
7. These, as we find, would be the better application, and if these will be continued consistently and persistently for a period of six to nine months there will be permanent changes that will have come about that will bring the bettered conditions entirely in this body, [521]:
8. In the first, there must be proper precautions as to the diet. This would be as a mere outline, and - as will be seen - there will be sufficient leeway in same as to alter the diet from time to time in such a manner that it may not become a burden to the body:
9. Mornings - citrus fruit juices or dried fruits stewed, or dry cereals. At such meals not great quantities, but sufficient to satisfy the appetite. Milk; the skimmed milk or dried milk or Bulgarian milk or buttermilk, just so it is fresh, may be taken - sufficient to add to the content of the digestive system, or the stomach, to make for weight and bulk with properties taken.
10. Do not take stewed fruits or fresh fruits WITH citrus fruit, nor cereal with citrus fruit, though there may be taken at times cereals with fresh fruits. See?
11. Occasionally coddled egg and very crisp bacon may be included with browned bread, preferably the whole wheat or rye bread.
12. Noons - preferably fresh vegetables, as carrots, lettuce, celery, leeks, onions and the like; tomatoes, not in great quantities, for these - even with such a salad - would preferably be canned, provided they are not such that carry preservatives in the preparation, unless they are WELL-ripened on the vine and gathered fresh - THEN the fresh tomatoes may be taken, but not those that are ripened artificially or superficially.
13. At this meal there may also be had oils, as olive oil or the dressings that make such a meal more palatable. Also a little bread may be taken, if so desired, at such a meal.
14. Evenings - this would be the meal when meats would be taken, and such would include not all of these at once but altering between: Calves' liver, fish, shell fish or sea foods of any character. Fowl, lamb, any of these may be taken. Also pig knuckle, tripe and the like may be included from time to time. No fried foods of ANY kind, not even cakes that are fried. But vegetables at this meal may include any of those that are well-cooked in their OWN sauce, or their own liquid, not adding waters nor seasoning
521-1 Page 3
until after they are cooked. And have three that grow ABOVE the ground to one that grows below the ground, but may include the tops and the roots of such; as fresh Irish potatoes, or turnips, or carrots, or beets, or the like, WHEN such below the ground are prepared. Not at all times, but that the vitamin forces of these may carry the necessary elements for creating a balance in the system that has long been lacking in sufficient of the phosphorus, silicon, iron and iodine. Hence all the vegetables that carry these properties should be included in the meals from day to day; for they are more easily assimilated by the body or system from vegetable matter than from any other source or character. And do not use great amount of high seasoning in any of the foods.
15. Keep the body developing in strength, in vitality, normally; sufficient activity at all times after each meal for the normal balance in using the energies of the body at all times, physically and mentally.
16. There should be also taken, as an internal reaction to those portions of the system that are affected in the nerve pressures, properties prepared in this manner - that may be prepared in quantities and a small quantity at a time also:
17. Take sufficient Maypop (this includes the vine, the fruit, the flower of same; preferably of that which is seasoned) that when it is reduced by simmering the specific gravity of same is six and a half, see? This is preferably made with distilled water, and would be about the proportion of one gallon of the dried vine or vegetable to two gallons of water, see? and reduce until by specific gravity or hydrometer test it is six to six and a half. So, if it is reduced to where the gravity is much higher, simply add water to make same; or if lower, simply boil longer to produce same.
18. After cooling, add sufficient grain alcohol to make a preservative for same, which will be about the proportion of two and one-half ounces to each sixteen ounces of the solution.
19. The dose of this would be a teaspoonful after each meal and before retiring at night.
20. Each day when ready for retiring, we would also have a gentle massage all over the body, ESPECIALLY in the area of the lacteal ducts and the liver and the gall ducts, in the caecum area and in the colon area; and, to be sure, all along the cerebrospinal system. Begin in the central portion of the body and work downward. Then begin in the central portion and work towards the head. See?
21. Also each morning after the body has had its breakfast
521-1 Page 4
or first meal, and has rested sufficient for digestion to take place, we would also have the MAGNETIC treatment.
22. Placing a body sitting on the left side of the patient, as it lies prone, place the right hand over the adrenal area - or about the 9th and 10th dorsal area; and the left hand over the lacteal duct area, or in the region of the umbilicii but to the right side of same - or just about where the ducts from the liver and the jejunum are acting with the juices of the secretion from the pancrean area. See? This is after there has been the activity of the duodenum and from the gastric forces in the stomach AND the duodenum. This should be for at least fifteen minutes, each day.
23. Do this. Be persistent, be consistent in all things. We will bring a better, a nearer normal condition for the body.
24. At first there may be a repulsion, after the first four or five treatments, by nausea from the conditions that will be created in the system. In these periods keep the bowels free, if necessitating to resort to enemas, and these will soon disappear.
25. Give at varied periods quantities of olive oil, but in VERY small doses. It may be given a quarter of a teaspoonful, or from ten to twelve drops, every two hours; for periods of two or three or four days; then rest for a period of a week and then begin again.
26. Do these things not as ROTE, but as following that which will create in the system the proper balance.
27. The condition has been builded as a constitutional effect to this body, and must be replaced or replenished by creating the proper balance in not only the properties taken internally but by the food values that may be absorbed properly and the coordinating of all nerve centers that may prevent incoordination between sympathetic and cerebrospinal system, and GIVE for the body proper reactions in the brain reaction.
28. Ready for questions.
29. (Q) Is there a special one you would suggest to give the magnetic treatment? (A) Anyone that may be sincere, and that will be consistent and persistent about same.
