Time of Reading 3:35 to 3:55 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.J. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [530], ... Street, ..., N.J.

2. As we find, there are disturbing conditions to the better physical functionings of this body. These have to do with some specific conditions that have arisen from disorders that are somewhat hidden in their nature. And these have begun to affect the body in its functioning. And the effects, while not causes, are as the DIRECTING conditions showing that there ARE disturbances that need to be looked after, that there may be brought about the nearer normal functioning for the body.

3. These affect the eliminations and the reactions from the poor circulation. And from a contaminated circulation produce the effects that are seen in this body.

4. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body, [530] [EC called her last name that of Mrs. [1192] instead of Mrs. [530], perhaps because first names were the same, or perhaps it was [530]'s maiden name], we are speaking of, ..., N.J.:

5. In the BLOOD SUPPLY of the body we find there are indications of toxic forces being present in the system, and that the eliminations in all forms have been disturbed in the body. There have been those accumulations to such an extent in the colon area itself as to make for affectations through the hepatic circulation, and hence the kidneys, organs of pelvis, the digestive system, the liver, the pancreas and spleen are at various times involved in the condition. For these organs acting with the circulation for the purifying of the body as to drosses have become involved. And we have a semi-organic disturbance. Not that these do not at times function normally. But, as indicated from the character of the headaches, the periods when there are those effects of easily being tired out; shortness of

530-1 Page 2

breath at times, with little exercise; heaviness in the abdominal area and dull aches across the lumbars and a fullness in the abdomen at periods - all of these are indications of the disturbances that exist through the circulation in these specific organs.

6. As to the NERVE SYSTEM, here we find a sympathetic condition. For, with the aggravations to the mental body, these are as periods when the body - as it were - does not CARE! And woe to all those that reach that attitude, whether in their mental bodies or in their physical bodies, for SOME portion must suffer from a "don't care" attitude, either mentally or physically - or both.

7. In this respect we find there are tendencies at times to do, to eat, to act, in ways that become aggravating to these disturbed conditions.

8. As to the ORGANS THEMSELVES, as indicated, certain portions of these - especially in the torso of the body - are involved in the condition. And that there is a cause is evidenced. This, as we find, arises from conditions that existed some two or three; yea, three and a half years ago, when there were certain congestions that were in effect, acting upon the organs of the eliminations as related to the pelvic conditions - as also with the activities of the body. These, in their attempt to adjust themselves to the general conditions that were created at the time, formed those tendencies for co-hesions and lesions in the left side near those active forces of the eustachian tubes (that's for the head) and the Fallopian tubes in the pelvic area; and there began an engorgement in the ascending and transverse colon. With the applications that were made during those periods, and cold and congestion that arose later, the condition moved - as it were - from the right side to the left. And in the transverse and descending curve we find the disturbances more active in the present. These, with the aggravated conditions of slowed circulation and katabolism making for a slowed circulation through the liver and the organs attendant with same, slowed the activity of the bile duct secretions. This, added to some indiscretions in this particular period, made for a more aggravating of the condition.

9. In meeting, then, the present conditions as we find them for this body, the better manner would be as with these:

10. First we would begin with a full general massage, osteopathically given. After one or two such treatments we would then have a high colonic irrigation, and then wait for at least a period of ten days before another irrigation, but keep the manipulations and the adjustments coming after the

first irrigation; along the lumbar and lower dorsal area, as well as coordinating those reflexes in the hypogastric and pneumogastric area in the upper dorsal and cervicals; creating, as it were, the general drainage to produce coordination in the eliminations of the body, that there may be the eradication of poisons as from toxic forces, as also from those activities of the mental relationships in the spleen - where there is something of an engorgement.

11. When these activities are begun, we will find at first - after two or three treatments - almost immediate relief to a great extent. In the next two to three weeks we will find some return of these general conditions. But make for a continuation of being specific in the activities as related to the healing forces for self, being mindful of the diets that these tend more towards the alkalins than acids for the body; being aware that no large amounts of the activities that are of CONDIMENTS should EVER be taken. Be mindful that not too large a quantity of sweets are taken.

12. And we will bring the better, the nearer normal condition to this body, [530].

13. (Q) Will you recommend an osteopath in ...? (A) We don't recommend. Go to a good one.

14. (Q) What is it advisable for me to do concerning the family affair that is worrying me? (A) Adjust self to the activities in the general relationships, knowing that each individual has its own duties, own obligations. Find not too much fault with others. Keep the relationships that exist in the present, and try to make for rather the happiness in doing that which self knows to be right - irrespective of how others may do.

15. We are through. [See 530-1, Par. R1.] Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (GD's note of 4/10/34: See letter [which was] enclosed which you may send to Dr. Dobbins, if you so desire, who has had considerable experience with following the directions given in readings, and who may recommend an osteopath in your vicinity to follow your instructions - if you do not already know of one. If you already know of one, Dr. Dobbins would be glad, I'm sure, to write him a letter of introduction regarding the reading. I copied the directions in this letter, so that you need not give your whole reading to the doctor unless you wish to do so. GD A list of Alkalin Foods was also

enclosed, of which your principal diet should consist during the period of these treatments. You may not be able to find an osteopath who also gives the colonic irrigations, as few osteopaths are equipped with this colonic irrigator; so you might have to go to a hydrotherapy place to get the irrigations - but they will not come as often as the osteopathic treatments, so that you could go to the two different places. However, it would be preferable - of course - to find an osteopath who could give both.)
