Time of Reading 3:25 to 3:50 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [536].
2. Now, as we find, there are conditions that exist in the physical functioning of the body that prevent the better physical development, and better physical reactions in the body. We find that the affectation involves the general blood supply as well as the glands of the body, or the gland affectation affects the blood supply and produces a slow and UNNORMAL, rather than abnormal, development.
3. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [536] we are speaking of, present in this room:
4. In the BLOOD SUPPLY we find a deficiency in the numbers of the red blood, near normalcy in the urea, and low supply in the white blood. Yet coagulation, as from the leucocyte or urea in same, is often very good. Then the affectation comes to the lymph, affecting the structural portions - as the glands and organs that are affected by the deficiency in necessary elements for producing normal functioning.
5. As to the NERVOUS SYSTEM, this we find shows effect of disorders rather in the manner that the developing body soon tires of any activity to which it may be appointed, whether a mental activity or a physical activity. So, the condition is a physical one - and not dilatory, as might be expressed, because of conditions that in general have surrounded the body. But being of such a temperament, by and through those conditions in the blood stream, leaves such a condition as to prevent stored energies for sufficient activity to even aid in carrying on properly the regular reactions of the body.
6. The ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces and their reflexes are good.
7. The sensory system suffers under the stress and strain; though, for the body, normal.
536-1 Page 2
8. We find deficiency in the thyroid glands' activity, produced by lack of elements to cause those activities to be sufficient and efficient in the segregation of the forces that may aid in stimulating to portions of the body a normal activity. This then arises from another cause, and is not the cause of the disorder.
9. The activity of the lungs is slow, on account of the character of the blood supply itself and the deficiency in the red blood cells to make for a normal respiratory activity; for, when there should be eliminations through the respiratory system, seldom does the perspiration occur except - as it may be said - in spots or blotches. For, should the body become sufficiently active for the perspiratory glands to be active, it produces cold or such weaknesses in other parts of the system as to make for - well, he has to quit!
10. We find the heart's activity, for a developing body, is below normal; yet with swift activity it responds in a normal manner. Hence only reflex conditions are disturbing this portion of the system; no organic.
11. Digestive system shows the real condition, or HOW the condition affects the body in the lacteals - the lacteal ducts, and especially in the lacteal tubes - so that no fats of ANY nature are assimilated by the system; for the tube and gland duct is as inactive in the system. This in part is produced by a pressure that was caused in some times back, in handling of the body. Then with the type of cold or congestion that left its mark in the body, as to affecting the activity of the glands themselves, this has only increased it. Hence we find the stomach itself, the duodenum and the activities in the juices - or the bile duct, pancreas, spleen - all are slow. Hence elements that should be in the chemical makeup of that to produce proper digestion do not function, do not produce such in the body. Not that there is not produced SOME, else we would have a form of anemia that would become more or less aggravated - or more specific. But the lack of the system being balanced in these directions prevents the normal development.
12. The natural consequence is that there is slow activity in the peristaltic movements throughout the alimentary canal, and the lack of proper secretion, or proper amount of the lymph circulation, and we have a cold hepatic circulation; hence producing at times irregularity for kidney activity. For, with the hepatic circulation being so disturbed, this prevents normal functioning; yet no organic condition there, as we find.
13. Then, in meeting the needs of the condition of this body
536-1 Page 3
in the present, [536] we are speaking of, present in this room:
14. First we would begin with a low form of electrical vibration with the violet ray. Before the application of this, each day, there should be a thorough rubdown, especially along the cerebrospinal system, and SPECIFICALLY in the area of the 8th, 9th and 10th dorsal. This rubdown should consist of a thorough massage with the hands, you see, then with warm water - using a rough towel to sponge off the body; not such as to produce irritation, you see - not so hard as that, but to produce the opening, as it were, of the exterior portion - or to the superficial circulation. Then for two and a half to three minutes apply the violet ray from the base of the brain to the 9th dorsal, from the end of the spine to the 9th dorsal. Move towards the center of the body, you see, along the spine.
15. We would also begin with the thyroid extract combined with the elements that make for increasing the amount of gastric flow in the duodenum and stomach proper. This should be given under the direction of a physician, SMALL quantities - or, as may be said, in the homeopathic dose rather than the allopathic dose, see?
16. Also we would have a very careful attention to the diet, that there may be the gradual increase in the amount of those elements necessary for the increasing of the activity of the DORMANT functioning of glands. This would be as a sample of a diet, though - to be sure - it may be altered, provided these principles are followed, that there is kept the more alkaline than acid foods, that there is a tendency towards iodine and phosphorus foods:
17. Mornings - citrus fruit juices, particularly the oranges; though occasionally there may be mixed with same lemon juice and grapefruit juice, see? Following same there may be given dry toast that is well buttered, provided this does not turn rancid or make for too great an amount of belching. If it does, cut down the quantity but keep on giving that - unless it makes for vomiting afterwards. There may be given occasionally at the breakfast meal a coddled egg, but none of the white; only the yolk. This may be mashed and seasoned, and not great quantities of milk taken at the morning meal at any time - but small quantities, if it is so desired. Occasionally there may be used very crisp bacon with the egg also.
18. Noons - preferably we would have principally Beef Juice. This does not mean stew, but Beef JUICE. There would be occasionally, also, tripe, pig knuckle, pig feet, and liver (that is mashed well). All such may be taken at the noon
536-1 Page 4
meal. Any or all of these. At this period there may be the greater amount of milk taken, but not raw milk. That which is dried, or that combined with malted milk, Mellin's Food or the like. That's the type of milk that would be the better.
19. Evenings - we would have a well-balanced, well COOKED vegetable diet; but principally such as carrots, oyster plant, sea foods - if meats are to be taken, which may be at this time, but not fowl or red meat or the flesh of those, but sea foods may be taken - and the vegetables that carry iron, silicon, phosphorus; as in the oyster plant, especially, or in those of the carrots; tuberous natures may be included, provided the skins and that close to them are eaten rather than the flesh; as irish potatoes, eat more peeling than the pulp, see?
20. If these will be followed, as we find, we will bring for this body a normal equal balance, and a developing that will make for a strong, healthy, well balanced body.
21. Ready for questions.
22. (Q) Should his affected teeth be treated locally, or removed? (A) If we are going to use the applications herein suggested, we would preferably treat them locally - using these applications that would make for a developing of the body normally.
23. (Q) What vibrations in connection with the violet ray? (A) From the head to the center. From the lower portion to the center. As given; using only, of course, the bulb anode.
24. (Q) Is his stubbornness due to his nerves? (A) This has just been given. The reactions in the nervous system are from physical conditions, rather than from those things that have been accredited to "spoiling." During the period these treatments are being administered, it would be well - as the body goes to sleep - that the mother give suggestions to him for what is desired in the controlling of the body. Give such suggestions in a positive manner, but THINK and ACT herself like the suggestions are given! Don't speak one way and, in the waking state of the body, act another! If these would be followed, we will find we will bring what is desired to be accomplished in controlling the body.
25. (Q) To what color does this body vibrate, or colors? (A) Gray-green.
26. (Q) Any further suggestions for this body? (A) These will be an armful for the present, but do these
536-1 Page 5
consistently and persistently - we will have a strong, healthy, well balanced physical and mental body.
27. We are through for the present. (GD's note at the time of the reading: See enclosed letter for Dr. Parker [James R. Parker, M.D.], or any physician whom you might suggest or feel would follow the directions. The boy was very pale. His mother and grandmother said he had no appetite. They seemed pleased with the reading and agreed to follow it to the best of their ability.) Copy to Mother " " Ass'n file
