Time of Reading Unknown. ..., Kentucky.
1. LBC: You have before you Mrs. [538] of ..., Ky. She is before you now. You will see her.
2. EC: Yes, we have her here. We have had her before. [No copy of earlier readings in E.C.F. files.]
3. LBC: I want you to go over her carefully, examine her thoroughly, and tell us what is the matter with her.
4. EC: Now, you see, the condition we have in this body now is quite different from what we have had before. There has been a good deal of change in her system. Some of the trouble we had before has produced some of the conditions we still have in the system, or the effect of those left in the system retard the development of the condition in the body as it should be at this time.
5. You see, we have first from the head, pains along through the body here from the 2nd dorsal and the 5th and 6th dorsal, and from the 1st and 2nd lumbar. That is, we have tie-ups here, or floating lesions, or lateral lesions, in the muscular and nerve force which supply to those of the lower end of the lung and the diaphragm, in conjunction with the sympathetic nerve of the solar plexus here, coming in conjunction with the solar plexus at the end of the stomach. We have had, as we had before in the system, a tie-up through that of the digestive tract, or a state of impact through the larger, or through the colon here, most all the time. The fecal matter lying together there in the body, producing then the irritation as we have through the whole digestive system, leaving the body in a state of collapse, or run down state, as we have at present, and has allowed this congestion to form in the lung from the air breathed in and bacilli, to set up this condition as we have in the left lung in itself, until we have a congestion of the lung, or that is, of the blood circulating into this lung, becomes choked, or clogged, leaving the air to pass through that of the right and upper part of the left, leaving itself, as it were here, until we have a choked condition.
6. Now, it has been somewhat relieved here by the application of these forces to the exterior, also to the forces of the blood here from the circulation in itself, but

the condition of the lung, of choking, that has been left in the system by the fecal matter of the intestine, through the circulation of the hepatics produced the temperature we have in the body, as it were, we have a chilling or congestion of the circulation which produces the temperature from the condition in the lung. That is, the air, not coming in perfect contact with the circulation, or the lack of re-oxidization of the blood, produced the condition as we have. Still, we have some of the bacilli here in the lung set up in these forces.
7. (Q) No organic trouble in the lung, is there? (A) The organ itself, of course, is involved here. The lung from its infection of the forces.
8. (Q) Any other conditions of the system? (A) We have the reflex conditions from these, of course, through the whole body. The action of its force on the whole system to the other organs through the circulation, through the mind or matter, in itself.
9. (Q) Are the tissues, or the cells of the lung broken? (A) No; only choked here at present, you see. They are solid.
10. (Q) What treatment would you prescribe to relieve these conditions and bring the body back to normal condition? (A) We have here the condition in the body. You see, we can have one or we can have many ways to relieve the condition, but to alleviate the trouble we have, to destroy the bacilli itself, and that is only through the air itself, or discharge it as it is sloughed off and thrown out through absorption or through the circulation. We can relieve the condition either as what we have here applied before to the exterior and interior, both or regeneration of the blood, or re-enforcing the blood, as we have said, with the forces that rebuild tissue, lung cell forces, or we can rejuvenate by the action of the manipulation of the nerve centers or muscular forces along the spine that supply to the blood forces to relieve the taxed condition of the muscular and blood forces, until we allow a unison of the circulation to those, or from stimulants to the circulation by the relaxation of these forces along the spine from the 9th to the upper cervical, 1st and 2nd. That only relieves the condition at present. To remove at present it would be best to have plenty of open air at all times; bathe with water, or salt, or sea water; high altitude - rarefied air - and plenty of exercise, and give the roughest of foods, not too much of it; fats, and that which builds blood; that of iron, carbon in the system.

11. (Q) That manipulation along the spine, should be osteopathic treatment? (A) That is to relieve the muscular forces, so that we can produce a condition by the action of the air itself, outside: that is, we need the body to be outside, in the open air; free from cares or worries to the mind [Her second baby son had died about 3 months ago. Born 3/28/11, died 5/17/11. A brother, Mr. [5705], had died of T.B. 4/13/10.]; exercise of the arms, especially, over the head, to expand the lung force. Keep away the pressure of the forces here from below, around the intestinal tract, by manipulation, keeping the whole body full and flushed at all times. The salt is to strengthen the forces here. It gives strength to the body and does not keep the blood forces choked. We remove these forces only through the circulation and by absorption. As the lymph from the white blood is thrown around the bacilli they are drawn off and expelled. If we allow the body to remain and chase these back and forth through the forces they break, and then become the eating of the tissue of itself.
12. (Q) Any other treatment you would prescribe now? (A) Either of these, but the air will have to do it.
13. (Q) What diet should she take? (A) Depends on the treatment she takes. If we have the open air we want the roughest kinds; fats and carbon. If it is the same life as we have here - indoor - we have those of the gluten character, and stimulants, with that of medicinal properties as we are using here, with that of stimulants sedative to the forces in the lung cells. But to destroy that, either get out in the air with the roughest, of course, and sea water, and exercise the arms above the head here.
