Time of Reading 11:45 to 12:15 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [538]; this we have had before.
2. As we find, while there are many changes in the general physical functionings of the body since last we had same here, many being for betterments, many being for those conditions that prevent the better physical reactions in the body, these - however - are the conditions as we find them in the present:
3. The BLOOD SUPPLY we find somewhat deficient, both as to quantity and as to quality. There are deficiencies in the red blood cellular force or blood supply, also in the leukocyte. As we find, this is produced from two specific causes. First, the red blood supply being called upon to furnish in greater quantity the numbers in the leukocyte makes for a deficiency in the red. Yet there is not sufficient in the leukocyte force, either, to meet the needs of the conditions that have existed and do exist; and from the character of assimilation do these deficiencies arise.
4. As to the NERVOUS SYSTEM, we find there are disorders as related to both the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic nervous systems, one from strains of a general nature in the body and the other from the sympathetics - through those strains in the mental activity under which the body has labored for some time.
5. These conditions naturally draw on the vitality of the body and are contributory causes to the inability of the body to assimilate the proper or normal amount of energies necessary in the chemical reaction in the body for that assimilated to be carried to the various portions of the system to keep a normal balance and meet the emergencies that arise from time to time.
6. FUNCTIONING ORGANS THEMSELVES, we find the head, face, throat, and the glands that are affected by the distressed condition in the system, show weaknesses; as also those
538-34 Page 2
conditions that existed in the past when there - through the neurotic effect of sympathetic nervous conditions - were various tissues in the head or nasal passage and antrum that became inflamed by those reactions in the system, these show sympathetic conditions but are not as severe as at times has been exhibited in the system.
7. In the lungs, bronchi and larynx, here we find where old lesions - from congestions and conditions that have existed, especially in the walls of the lungs themselves, an irritation produced by congestion and the lack of proper circulation and oxidization - have made for, as it were, a DRAWING on themselves for expression, both through the nerve condition and the lack of elements necessary in the assimilated forces of the body to supply the proper nutriment for reestablishing normalcy as the energies are used in the body.
8. For, as we have indicated oft in such information or suggestions, when there is the activity even of respiration only in a body there is the tendency for the system to ATTEMPT to supply that which is a propagation or the carrying on of itself - which is one of the laws of nature or of spirit in a manifested form in material plane, or in matter.
9. Should the whole system coordinate or cooperate in its activities one with another, if the forces are not overpowering to any organism or any activity or reflex activity of an active system these are replaced. On the other hand, if there is the deficiency in any portion of the body in being able to supply the proper nutriment for the creating of the balance, not only does the organ or the functioning of that organ or the conditions that are setting themselves up begin to grow, but other portions suffer also from these distresses.
10. So, as we find here, where scar tissue has made for lesions, especially in the pleura of the lung body itself, [Pleurisy - Old T.B. condition - see 538-1 through 538-4.] these have drawn or contracted - which is especially seen in the left portion near what may be said to be the third or fourth rib center, where there is the tendency for irritation. And if there are not corrections, or the supplying of proper nutriment to the body itself to supply the necessary elements for creating a balance, the conditions that have existed or that may be brought into the activities of the system at any time - as they have been, and some become more susceptible to such conditions than others by the very nature of conditions that are left in the body itself - these begin to multiply within themselves.
538-34 Page 3
For, they are as organisms which create within themselves those influences or forces that make for propagation itself upon live tissue within the body itself.
11. As to the digestive system, stomach and circulation, we find through these portions a tendency for contractions - through more of a sympathetic than a condition of a physical nature. And hence should be by the activities of the body mentally AND physically acted upon in such a way and manner as to bring about or create for those forces where there may be the proper stimulation to the system to create those necessary elements for the proper coordination and cooperation of the sympathetic and cerebrospinal reactions and nerve forces in the system, as well as the organic reactions in various organs of the body - as in the digestive system, through the pancreas, the duodenum, the spleen, the liver [Warning of carcinoma of liver? of which she died 4/1/45?] - all of these must function TOGETHER. For, THESE are the organs that are the CREATIVE forces that supply the elements necessary for the cooperative forces within the blood stream - or within the assimilation in the body to create that within the blood stream - as it draws on active forces of the body for sustenance and relief for disturbed conditions in the system.
12. The liver and spleen are torpid in their activity [Warning of cirrhosis of liver? of which she died 4/1/45?], as there has been and is the tendency for slow or very poor circulation through the intestinal tract - of the nature that supplies to or through the lymph and the emunctory circulation, or the water blood, or the forces that partake not only of the elements from the red blood supply themselves but are the storehouse or active forces of the leukocyte principles in the system; for these work with those that make for muscular reaction - and also for peristaltic movement in the eliminations of the body. These being poor at times tend to make, with a depleted system, toxic forces that react with the organs - especially in the hepatic circulation - as to produce greater temperature in the area about the excretory functioning of the liver itself, and with the kidneys - that make for toxic forces or poisons of more than one character in the system, which make contributory causes when it is considered as to how eliminations are to be carried on in the body.
13. Then, to make an application for creating the proper balance within the system at present, as we find, would be to add those elements that will be as a stimulation to the activity in the body in the digestive forces, as well as the stimulations to the body from the exterior, to create a
538-34 Page 4
proper or more perfect balance in the distribution of that assimilated, by stimulating to those centers for the activities in the body through the assimilated forces of the system itself.
14. The first, we find, would be by the use of those properties that have been indicated, that make for not only a purification through the inhalation into the lungs themselves but a clarification through the activity of not exactly healing forces - but rather a CLEANSING of the system, or those influences that act as antiseptics to prevent accumulations of used force or tissue - even in breathing itself, and in those drosses that are naturally left in the lungs from the respiratory system or the oxidizations that are created. Hence we have, as is seen, one of the greater principals through which eliminations are made in the body - the breathing and the respiratory system; the greater, of course, being through the alimentary canal, for the blood supply is to carry those forces to those channels in the alimentary canal to be eliminated. But if the blood becomes congested, as it has here, from cold or from forces or influences from without that prevent the proper activity of the blood supply through the areas where the congestion has been, then we have little opportunity for those being eliminated in these channels; and hence they build up themselves resistances to those very influences that make destructive forces in the body.
15. The inhalant [538-18] should be not only the combinations that have been given, but we would find it would be well to use apple brandy that is heated and the fumes inhaled deep into the lungs. [Apple Brandy in charred oak keg? See recommended again in 538-63, etc.]
16. Also we find it would be well occasionally, once or twice or three times a week if necessary, to take into the system a half to a grain of Calcidin. These principles act with the forces in the respiratory system to make for an EASING of the circulation through these portions, by RELAXING congested area in the pancrean and lung area. See?
17. Once or twice a week the stimulation through manipulations will aid the distribution of assimilated forces.
18. Then, build up the body by the diets of those conditions of blood and nerve building.
19. And keep the mental attitude in such a way and manner that will make for CONSTRUCTIVE rather than destructive forces within the system itself.
20. As to the character of the food values, any of those that will keep the body more in an alkalin than an acid
538-34 Page 5
tendency - as it is seen that toxic forces naturally produce in any system.
21. Also those stimulations specifically that may be had in eggnog, or brandy and sugar, or preferably a compound prepared in this manner: Syrup of Horehound...............1/2 ounce, Compound Simple Syrup..............1 ounce, Brandy.............................6 ounces. This is not so much as an expectorant as a laxative to the tautness in the throat, bronchi, lungs, and a stimulation to the gastric flow to the body itself for assimilations.
22. Ready for questions.
23. (Q) What should be the dosage of this preparation, and how often? (A) A good swallow three or four times a day.
24. (Q) How often should the fumes of the brandy be inhaled? (A) Preferably this should be done in the afternoons or evenings and early mornings, or at other times when there is a congestion or a choking up.
25. (Q) Is the inhalant I have been using [as given in 538-18] the correct one for me at this time, in the bottle in my room upstairs? (A) This is very good. But we would give the brandy rather in fumes from being put in very hot water, than in fumes from a large quantity. See?
26. (Q) Should the manipulations be given osteopathically, or just a general massage? (A) Preferably osteopathically, for the stimulation should be to especially the cervical, you see, the upper dorsal not so heavy, and in the lumbar and sacral rather strong - that there may be the tendency for the lifting of the pressure, and the eliminations increased.
27. (Q) Who would you suggest to give these manipulations? (A) Be very well here. Crews would be very well. [Gena L. Crews, D.O.]
28. (Q) Any other advice for the body at this time? (A) We would follow these for the present, and we will find we will build for the better physical forces of the body. Do that.
29. We are through for the present. Copy to Self
