Time of Reading 11:20 to 12:00 Noon Eastern Standard Time. ..., Ala. (Body & enquiring mind, who seeks a physical, mental and spiritual reading with advice as to how she may make her life every "whit whole," so that she may be of greater service to her fellow man. Questions.)

1. EC: Yes, [In undertone, "Mighty anxious."] we have the body, the enquiring mind, and those conditions-physical and mental, with the abilities of the body-physical.

2. In giving that which may be helpful in the physical forces of the body, we find there are definite conditions that at times have disturbed and do disturb the body. Some of these are apparent. Others we find are rather hidden. These, though, are the conditions as we find that need particular attention in the present and that with the correction of these would bring for the body a somewhat better physical reaction; thus having a better physical body for the mental and spiritual to give expression through.

3. For, in the earth the body is the temple of the living soul. And here in the temple may one meet with one's Maker and thus become aware of His consciousness dwelling within, and of self being - through the knowledge of self, physically and mentally - in accord with those purposes for the fulfilling of those activities He would bring in the experience.

4. In such a body, in such a seeking, there must first then be cast aside jealousy, fear, backbiting, grudge, hard feelings towards anyone. This in itself will make for a better attitude for meeting the physical forces necessary for correction in this body.

5. For, as has been experienced by the body, if there are the feelings of fear, grudges, or of being in the position of being repressed within, either from the mental attitudes or from the greater associations in material relationships, there is little that assimilates properly even when food values are considered and adhered to.

544-1 Page 2

6. Hence much of that which disturbs the body from the physical aspect is from poor assimilation, a tendency for the stomach itself to be too small, with a tendency for drooping somewhat; making for the accumulations of foods that are not properly emptied from same by the natural capillary attraction; making for a tendency for torpidity in the liver activity; making for poor circulation in the extremities of the body; bad taste in the mouth of mornings when ready for rising; tired after periods when rest should have come to the body; tendency for constipation and the like, with some specific conditions in the soft tissue of the face and head that at times - while not giving a great deal of trouble - apparently are the basis of much that tends to irritate the body in its nerve reaction throughout the system. This condition - that is, the face and soft tissue - is rather a secondary one, but has reached such a state as to make for the necessity of doing or applying in specific ways and manners things that will be helpful and aidful in creating a normal balance; else we will have the gradual accumulations from the poor circulation or poisons in the system that will, as periods go on, find their activity in various portions of the body that have been weakened by the lack of the proper amount of blood supply, the proper richness to the blood supply; thus bringing to other portions of the system those activities that will be very detrimental to the better physical forces of the body.

7. As we find, to bring for the physical forces those things that will be most helpful to the body, we find that the specific exercise would be the most helpful. Do not neglect these conditions.

8. First we would begin very gradually, for these will appear at first to be VERY unusual to the body. But begin with those exercises where the body stands, as it were, almost on the shoulders and head, with the feet and limbs in the air. Do this morning and evening; what is ordinarily known as "riding the bicycle," see? Lean back on shoulders, preferably on floor or on a prepared place for same. Begin with two or three minutes morning just before arising and evenings just before retiring.

9. After this has been kept up for a week to ten days, then have or prepare for self that which will tend to make for the holding of the stomach in position; preferably not as a belt or a support but as a heavy cloth - about four and a half to six inches wide around the waist, see? tightly drawn; not put on by adhesive, but tightly drawn, that it may SUPPORT the body in its activity, see?

10. We would begin almost immediately also with the use of

544-1 Page 3

an inhalant that would be prepared in this way and manner:

11. To 4 ounces of pure grain alcohol, we would add in this order and proportion: Oil of Eucalyptus.................20 minims, Tincture of Benzoin...............15 minims, Rectified Creosote.................3 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp..............5 minims, Tolu in solution..................30 minims. Keep this in a glass corked container. When ready to use shake together and inhale deep into the nostrils. And before doing the inhaling, whether this is done once or twice or three to four times each day, for a minute take the head and neck exercise; that is, circular motion of the head to the right once or twice, to the left once or twice, forward once or twice, backward once or twice, then circle again - opposite from that made in the beginning, see? Do this for a minute, at least. Then inhale deep into the nostrils the fumes that arise from shaking the solution together, placing the nostril close over the container and drawing deep as inhaling the breath into the lung, you see, or into the nasal passages, bronchi and lung. This is an antiseptic and is not a curative but a PREVENTATIVE, and aids the body in being able to throw off through a pure circulation and through the regular activities of the body; being aidful in allowing the body itself to adjust itself for the better physical forces within same.

12. Every other day we would also use the violet ray. Not the ultra-violet but the plain hand violet ray; using the one bulb applicator, and let this be used first across the diaphragm area, to strengthen those portions of the cardiac end of the stomach itself. Then we would move same as in the proper relationships of the colon area to stimulate the circulation through same; beginning on the right side close to the caecum area, arising with the ascending colon, transverse and descending colon. Treat this portion of the body for at least a minute. Then we would make the application across the upper portion along the cerebrospinal system, particularly from the 9th dorsal toward the head and across the shoulders and around and under the shoulder blade. This will make for a stimulation to these centers to increase the circulation.

13. Be mindful that the diets are kept more in the form of the more alkalin than acid reaction; then, keeping from great quantities of sweets or pastries, but a great deal of citrus fruit juices - principally of mornings, to start the

544-1 Page 4

day right.

14. Have one meal a day to consist wholly of green or raw vegetables, which would include such as lettuce, celery, carrots, beets, peas, lentils, tomatoes, spinach, and those vegetables along this line that may be made into a salad. Onions may be included at times; after the first or second trial it would be found that this added would make the salad very tasty and would be helpful; as also would be radishes at times. Not too great quantities of these in the beginning (onions and radishes). Use any oil salad dressing. Preferably such a meal would be in the middle of the day. Graham or whole wheat wafers or crackers may be eaten at the time. Afterwards there may be taken a small amount of coffee or tea, if so desired.

15. In the evenings we would take first a small quantity of beef juice, each evening. Take this rather as an appetizer, and let it be taken at least twenty to thirty minutes before the evening meal is taken. Take at least a tablespoonful, but sip it very slowly - just the beef juice. This does not mean stews, but we have given how this should be prepared.

16. If these will be followed, we will find that we will bring soon to the body a better general condition throughout; strengthening the whole activity of the system and making for better material things for the functioning of the mental and spiritual aptitudes and attitudes of the body.

17. As to the mental relationship, as we find, the body's outlook, the body's DETERMINATION as set in the present is excellent! And SHOULD be adhered to. Or the body's philosophy of life is well. But ANALYZE first self, as to self's relationship to this. Are these things held as tenets and principles in the body applicable in the body's own activities? And for what purposes are these? For self-development, self-exaltation, or that the body in its activities may be well-spoken of? Ideas of being in the position of desiring ambition within self are not to be discounted, but let not these be the BASIS - rather that the body-mental and the body-activities (first in principle) would be that held in self as its ideal, that must be expressed in its relationships to others, that the FATHER and the Son may be glorified in and through thee in thy relationships to others. This should be the ideal, rather than that self may be well-spoken of or that self may be exalted or glorified in its own relationships towards getting ahead or making for those conditions wherein there may be the treasures of the earth laid in store that after a bit these may be active; for THESE are rather selfish. Be

544-1 Page 5

rather in this attitude: "Let my life, O God, be used in the ways and manners that Thou seest fit. Let me expend my energy not for self-exaltation or glorification, but that the love of my fellow man and the glory of my Father, the Father-God, may be manifested in my life day by day." With this attitude we may find that, while there may be at times when people and individuals and groups will WONDER, gradually there will be drawn to the body a circle of associations and relations that will make life more worth while, more beautiful, more activities that bring joy and pleasure into the experience of self and others than ever before experienced in this activity of the body.

18. In these do we make the spiritual things find their proper relationships. For, if the fruits of the activity be the fruits of the spirit in thine relationships, then is the life and the manifestations of the life in the present TRULY an expression of the love that self may manifest toward its fellow man, toward those dependent upon the body in the material things, in the mental relationships, in the social activities, in the commercial activities of the body; and build that thou distributest to thy brother as to the glory of God! And there will be a tastier reaction to that thou givest to thy fellow man. And these will build for those things that have ever been near and dear in the mind and purposes of the body, to make for those expressions in its relationships as a writer, as an ACTIVE writer of the things thou knowest about the daily life; as to its relationships to the individuals and THEIR relationships. Weave stories, then, as it were, about the part food in its proper preparation and relationships will bring into the experience of others; and we will find not only that which becomes somewhat of a drudge in the present will mean and take on a new meaning to the body, but those relationships that have been and are being established as to the greater relationships in large centers will take on a new meaning, a new life for the body. For, many of the publications that are in the fields to which the body at present lends itself, for the material things of its own body, are SEEKING for such things to be told in such ways and manners as to show they have a deeper meaning in the lives of individuals and of peoples than merely something to supply the fuel for a body. For, the body lives in its expression as it receives impulse from that which is prompting its activity in its relationships to individuals, or its relationship to those things as for which purpose the body is brought into being, rather than for those things that satisfy or gratify for the moment; though they may find expressions through such

544-1 Page 6

relations or activities. These will bring new beauties, new activities, new relations, new conditions that make for a worth-whileness, that bring peace and joy and happiness. And as He, thy Master, fed the multitudes on those things pertaining to the body-physical as well as the foods that were for the deeper or the more spiritual life, do thou LIKEWISE - and He will walk and talk with thee, He will oft show thee regarding the measurements of those things that build bodies and minds and hopes and the like, that which is worth while in thine experience.

19. Ready for questions.

20. (Q) How may I renew my vision, so that I may feel more of the "joy of salvation?" (A) As indicated, by making manifest that thou knowest in thine own experience today. Doing away with those things that make for grudges, but being able to see the GOOD in that which is manifested in any form in material things, the good that it may bring for those that love the Lord. For, though there may be the expressions that to an individual at times bring those things that bespeak of smirch and shame, there IS in same the attempt of the individual to express or manifest self. If it is to the glory of self, then the fruits of it must be away from Glory. Then condone not with same, but see the beauty. Draw near to Him, He will draw near to thee. Let thy prayer in the meditations thou makest from day to day be: USE ME, O FATHER, AS THOU SEEST FIT JUST FOR TODAY. BUILD THAT IN ME THAT WILL ENABLE ME TO SEE THE BEAUTIES IN NATURE, IN THE EARTH, IN MY FELLOW MAN, AND THUS WORSHIP THEE AND GLORIFY THEE THE MORE IN THIS EXPERIENCE.

21. (Q) Should making Beaten Biscuits continue to be my principal work? (A) In the present, but use these - and that which goes with same - to weave about same those things that show how the spiritual truths, as the foods of the body, act with same; so may the spiritual foods act, and we will find that the expressions of the JOY of life in that thou mayest write, in that thou mayest sing or paint, will be beautiful!

22. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file " of a portion to Work Book (DIRECTIONS FOR MAKING PURE BEEF JUICE Put small chunks raw beef in covered fruit jar. Put jar inside pan of water (water coming to about half the depth of
