1. GC: You will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding this body.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before, you see.
3. Now, we find there are changes in the physical conditions of the body since last we had it here. While those conditions as exist at present are in the nature of outcomes of former existing conditions, through many various changes as have been wrought in the body, and the accentuation of various conditions cause disturbances at the present time. Ready for questions.
4. (Q) Why is the body so extremely restless and nervous? Nerves twitching and jerking at night? (A) This produced by incoordination, brought on by the poor assimilations as are produced in the system and the reabsorption, as it were, of toxins as should be eliminated produce undue action from the various centers of the nerve system as a refractory of a reaction from these toxins - for, as we see, poor eliminations in the intestinal system, a form of constipation produced by the condition and position as has been brought in the colon proper. This is the seat of the conditions that cause the nerve retraction or refraction in the system. Overcoming the condition will bring a better condition for the nerve system.
5. (Q) What causes his lack of strength? (A) The rebuilding forces in system burned up, as it were, by this re-absorption in the system. Hence the nerve energies produce such relaxation in nerve centers - such as is seen in those of the lumbar and lower dorsal - that guide directly to the condition that exists in the region of the kidneys, one of the eliminating centers of the system - the kidneys becoming overtaxed by the inability, or the lack of the ability of the liver to perform its normal function. Hence we have some inflammation produced at times in the region of the kidneys, as is seen by the burning sensations as are produced when urine passes, which shows that the inflammation is being attempted to be eliminated through

these channels - which is in reality only to eliminate certain PORTIONS of conditions in the system, and is as ONE of the channels of elimination. We find that after such restlessness the system, in attempting to adjust itself, produces a form of cold clamminess in portions of the system, especially in those regions where the lymphatic circulation comes near the surface - as arm pits, palms of hands, groin, feet at times. Cold, clammy at times - at others these are perfectly dry and tend to feel as if there was NO moisture there - system then re-absorbing. This burning sensation, then, to the nerve centers is that that produces the weakness in the body, inability of collaboration of the system - system attempting to adjust itself, and overtaxes itself.
6. (Q) What causes him not to rest well and sleep sound at night? (A) This same restlessness as is produced in the nerve system, which carries, as it were, its message of those conditions awry in the system to the brain. This, then, produces restlessness, and the tendency for the body to have hallucinations of visions that would harm physically the body.
7. (Q) Why does he have so much trouble with his stomach? (A) The condition as existed in the stomach in times back, where lacerations showed, with the breaking down of the system by the inability to produce rebuilding forces as necessary to keep a normal elimination, makes a weakened condition now through the lower end of the stomach. This condition in the lower end of the stomach, with the liver non-active, produces then the inability of the system to produce that IN the system that is in the nature of digestive material, or juices for the foods taken. Hence we find often those properties taken that for a while will agree or digest with the system, or in the system, suddenly turn to be as poisons, as it were, for the system, for the system becomes overloaded with these materials. Hence the indigestion - especially intestinal indigestion - results. Intestinal indigestion produces packs, and this in turn produces the condition in the colon of constipation. Constipation in turn produces a re-absorption of toxins. Toxins produce taxation to the nervous system. The nervous system produces a taxation to the brain and sympathetic system. Hence we have that tired, dull, achey feeling, and the tendency to feel every bodily ailment that may come to the body, see? We have a complete cycle in these physical conditions. Now, to OVERCOME these would be to take properties in the system that will produce nearer the correct assimilations.

These we will find under present existing conditions in that of one Charcoal Tablet each day - that as is prepared by Kellogg, Battle Creek, Michigan (for this has honey, rather than that of the other properties - which is an intestinal antiseptic in itself), and at least two (2) large spoons of Petrolagar (ALKALINE nature) in the system, see? and the osteopathic adjustments that will relax nerve centers that need relaxing - in the region of lumbar and lower dorsal - the upper dorsal and whole cervical region - tightening, as it were, by these manipulations, those centers as specific in 10th and 11th (tenth and eleventh) dorsal, 2nd (second) lumbar, 3rd (third) dorsal. These, as we see, are those centers where the disturbances to the system, through the taking on of the drosses, produce disturbance that produces the taxation to the body. The osteopathic adjustments should be made at least every other day, until at least thirteen (13) are taken. Then these may be one each week - keeping up the Charcoal and the Petrolagar during the whole period, until the system has adjusted itself.
8. (Q) How often should the Petrolagar be given? (A) Morning and evening.
9. (Q) How often the Charcoal? (A) As given - one tablet each day.
10. That is all the questions. [See 550-1, Par. R1.]
11. Do this, and we will find we will bring the nearer normal conditions for this body.
12. After this has been taken for the twenty-six (26) days, see? (which would be the thirteen (13) osteopathic treatments), then we would give the suggestions for the changes - for, as we have given, with so many changes taking place, it will be necessary to correct conditions to meet the needs of the body as the changes come about.
13. We are through, then, for the present with this reading.
