Time of Reading 11:30 to 12:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Penna. (Entity. You will give a mental and spiritual reading for this entity, with special emphasis upon expressing the soul faculties in the present in the highest possible degree.)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind and the soul-mind, [557], present in this room.
2. As to the mental abilities and expressions of the body, we find that each soul has entered an experience for the perfecting or manifesting of that necessary for the soul's manifestation in materiality, that there may be the growth or the preparation for that soul-entity as a companion in the creative influences in the earth manifesting in the spirit of those things that make for expressions in individual lives.
3. Hence, as we find, mind is ever the builder, and is the expression from the spirit of that which is constructive in the influences that the soul then grows in that direction.
4. If the expression is rather in the physical or the material conditions, these find expression in activities in a material expression of same, for the spirit worketh within and through and with every activity of the spiritual expression of an entity in the material plane.
5. What, may be asked then, is the purpose for this soul's manifestation in this particular environ in the present experience? And what is the activity in which the physical body, the mental mind, the soul-mind, may engage in that the soul may find the more beautiful, the more wonderful expression in this experience?
6. First we would give, then, a basis for the reasoning; for naturally (from that which has been given) this entity, this soul, reasons with itself, and there must be an answer that at least is compatible with the experiences that the entity has had or does have in its material surroundings. Then:
7. The expression of spirit in materiality is the gift to each soul that it, the soul, may make itself a companion with that we call God, or that which has been an expression
557-3 Page 2
of that influence in the earth.
8. As nature is viewed in its expression we see the handiwork and the face of that creation; each fills its place in giving the expression to man with material faculties, with spiritual desires, with the hopeful longings for an expression of self in this natural world. And there is then left or given to man a pattern, a standard whereby there may be the judgements or the expressions of self weighed, measured, that the soul in its seeking to find its way back to that Creative Influence may know that the standards and the activities are in accord. Throughout the ages, throughout those periods where expression has been given, in nature and in the expression of same in man's experience there have been some immutable laws whereby one may know that there is being given that which may be used as the standard of self-emotion, self-expression, self-analysis. First, like begets like. That ye sow, that ye must reap. Whether it be in this or that environ, it brings forth from the very soil of experiences or environ that the SPIRIT may quicken in its activity.
9. Then, the expressions have been that these are as signs from the Infinite to the finite mind of activity. When one views self either from the spiritual, the mental or the material plane, one may see reflected in one's experiences that which may tell one - by such measurements - how and where one has meted out that one has known of these manifestations, these laws, this love that the Father has manifested in the earth, that all may know that the Redeemer liveth, that the life of EVERY manifestation is continuous in its activity. And what each soul does with its abilities, its opportunities, brings forth its fruit in due season. This we see manifested in nature. And one finds self, then, either in line with soul expression, soul development, or upon the high road of doubt, fear and consternation.
10. Then also it is seen that there have been given patterns in expressions through the various teachings, the teachers as individuals that have entered into the earth plane and have given in their manifested ways and manners the expressions of these same laws manifested in material things.
11. This body, as we find, this soul in its expressions through the material manifestations, has developed those abilities, possibilities, conditions in its own experience that have made for the aid in given directions to those of a certain tend or trend of mind or abilities of expressions in material things. Then, for self, as there is the sowing of
557-3 Page 3
the seed of righteousness in those things that bring forth the fruits of the spirit in the lives of such an individual or such groups in a certain tend or trend or bent of mind, the seed from THIS own soul expression will find fertile soil and bring forth in its due season fruit worthy of the Giver of those things that make for peace, happiness, contentment, harmony, joy in the inner self. For, when looking within self there is that response that has been given to each soul, that "My Spirit beareth witness with thy spirit that ye have been chosen, that ye are my children, that there is set before thee this day that which is life and death, that which is good and evil - choose thou." What meaneth such in the experience of this soul? That those who have been constructive in the affairs of individuals in a material world, that have had to do with those things that would bring more of the conveniences, more of the activities in the affairs of human endeavor that make for closer relationships, may be aided much by this entity; to forget not the SOURCE of their inspiration nor for whom and for what their activities are founded. For, if they are founded not in a service to thy fellow man, in truth and in earnest, then they must sooner or later become a stumblingblock - if they are only for the satisfying of an eagerness to be above thine fellow man. If they are for the satisfying and the aggrandizing of the carnal forces in a life, then the seed, the fruit of such activities must be as the chaff before the wind for that soul in its seeking.
12. Then true indeed has it been given for this soul that the development of the spiritual life, and through the material affairs of this entity, this soul, [557], much may be gained by the gentleness here, the kindness there, the word of truth spoken to those that become high and mighty in their knowledge of material things, and show in such a field those things that will bring forth the fruits of the spirit.
13. In such a manner may this soul find expression. What manner of thought, what manner of study may there be made within self that such may be brought in the experience? The natural tend, the natural trend of that which has come into the experience, the MATERIAL experiences of this entity, this soul, gives a ready soil for such. How, then, may self make the preparation that it has in its experiences in the present, or the experiences in the earth under the various environs?
14. By studying first to show thyself approved unto God, being ever ready to give within self - and to those that may seek - the basis or the cause of the faith that lies within, keeping self unspotted and rightly divining the words of
557-3 Page 4
truth.
15. Study first that given by Him who came into thine experience, that "Lo, I am with thee always, even unto the end of the world, for in my Father's house are many mansions, many ways, many manners in which there may be shown the little kindnesses." So oft in seeking that some great thing may be done does the soul stumble over itself, but "I go to prepare a place for you, that where I am there ye may be also, and if I go I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am there ye may be also." And, "I will not leave thee comfortless, but will come and ENJOIN thee in thy daily activities, thy daily service." This is the promise to every soul. If ye would make that promise thine own, then seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto thee. Let there be definite periods when ye look within self, cleansing the mind, the body, in such ways and manners and measures that seemeth that as ye would offer as thine offering unto the holy experiences that may be thine. For, he that expects nothing shall not be disappointed, but he that expects much - if he lives and uses that in hand day by day - shall be FULL to running over. For the LOVE of the Father constraineth thee to keep thine counsel with those thou meetest day by day that thou mayest aid. Thus may the soul find expression. Thus may the life, the experience, that portion of life thou hast in this present experience become more and more beautiful, and the sunshine of thy love into the hearts and souls of those that are wondering, that are troubled because they find not the spirit of truth and life in THEIR own lives, wilt come into those experiences of calling thee BLESSED in the name of the Father.
16. When thou enterest into thine closet of thine heart, open thine mind that He may enter in. For He is nigh unto thee at all times. PRAY ye, then, as in this manner:
17. AS I OPEN MY HEART, MY MIND TO THEE, O GOD, WITH THE JOYOUSNESS OF THE NEW EXPERIENCES THAT MAY BE MINE, WILT THOU BE THE GUIDE. MAY I MAKE MY WILL, MY MIND, MY SOUL, DAILY IN ACCORD WITH THAT SERVICE THAT THOU WOULDST HAVE ME RENDER TO MY FELLOW MAN. LET THE WORDS OF MY MOUTH AND THE MEDITATIONS OF MY HEART BE MORE AND MORE ACCEPTABLE UNTO THEE, MY LORD AND MY REDEEMER. FOR THOU MAY LIVE IN ME AS THOU HAST PROMISED, THAT THE GLORY OF THE FATHER MAY BE MANIFESTED IN THOSE THAT LOVE HIS WAYS. HELP THOU MINE UNBELIEF. MAKE THOU MINE HEART CLEAN, RENEWING A RIGHTEOUS SPIRIT WITHIN ME, FOR THOU HAST PROMISED TO BE NEAR.

19. (Q) That the mental and spiritual bodies may function
557-3 Page 5
more perfectly, would you advise a blood transfusion? (A) As we find, there has been given [557-1 on 5/23/34] the elements that taken within the physical body will arouse those activities to such a degree that that created within thine own body will have a much more NORMAL vibration to thine self than from transfusion. For, realize in thine experience that all power - whether it be of that we call the gas, drug, mineral or vegetable kingdom receives its spiritual essence of activity from an All-Wise Providence that has left these manifestations in a material world. And, as was given, be thou wise - not in thine own conceit, but in the wisdom of the Lord, and SUBDUE the earth; or MAKING these, as it were, coordinant with that which is in thine own body, mind and soul. For, when the earth was brought into existence or into time and space, all the elements that are WITHOUT man may be found in the LIVING human body. Hence these in coordination, as we see in nature, as we see in the air, as we see in the fire or in the earth, makes the soul, body and mind ONE coordinating factor with the universal creative energy we call God. So, to make these in their natural channels, in their natural directions, will - as we find for this body - bring much more of that necessary than through transfusion from other vibrations that, though nigh unto thee, are not so well. Coordinate thyself, then, WITH God, WITH nature, WITH the environs thou art in, THROUGH thine inner self.
20. (Q) What do you suggest for controlling the eliminations of this body? (A) As has been indicated by those factors that have their own vibrations within themselves, and the coordinating of same with the various centers from which they receive their radial activity by the principles of the massage and adjustments, as we find, these will GRADUALLY, to be sure - add the necessary elements to make coordinations. While this is being done, use that nearest to nature's remedies - the cleansing of the colon with enemas that carry near the properties of the body-physical. See? This will remove drosses, will remove those tendencies and yet allow the peristaltic activity of that created by the emunctory and lymph circulation throughout the system; aiding the activities of those principles that have been given; the Ash

for the blood, the Atomidine in its elements for the glands' activity, and the stimulations for the various portions or organs through the manipulations that have been dormant or sluggish in their activity. And we will renew a body.
21. (Q) Would you suggest any particular line of study, or any special books for this body? (A) As given, none greater than the experiences or the various lights and lives of that Teacher that said, "Come unto me, ye that are weak and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am lowly in body, in mind, yet will I give rest unto your souls. For I go to the Father that ye may have light in me, and I in you." His words, His teachings, the lives of this man - no greater may be found than the more ye learn of Him, the more ye apply that as He gave as His whole gospel: "Love the Lord thy God with all thy body, thy mind, thy soul; thy neighbor as thyself."
