1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [557]; this we have had before.
2. Now, as we find, some of the conditions that have disturbed the body are not so good as when we last had same here. There have been some turns in the reactions in the system that are not so well.
3. These, then, are conditions as we find them, and the manner in which we would meet these in the present - for [557], we are speaking of:
4. There have been, through those contractions in the area of the gall duct, the tendencies for the secretions to become more and more aggravated there; producing the regurgitation or the flowing back of the acids into the duodenum and stomach itself in such measures for there to be some lacerations in the lower portion of the stomach. Hence we find these are irritating and causing a great deal of distress at times.
5. As we find, this would be the manner in which we would meet these in the present for the body:
6. Keep as quiet as possible, especially during at least the two-day periods when we would have applied externally the Castor Oil packs. Use three to four thicknesses of flannel, preferably OLD flannel, saturated with the Castor Oil as hot as may be borne by the body; placed over the lower portion of the liver (that is, the lower portion of the stomach and liver), and on even to the caecum on the right side, you see, over the frontal portion of the body, until the middle portion of same is covered. Keep these packs up for three to four hours at each treatment; as fast as they become cool renew same with the hot Castor Oil. Wring the flannel out of the Castor Oil, but leaving as much in same as the flannel will hold. Give a two to three; no, at least a three to four hour treatment with these packs each day for two days, then leave off for two days and then repeat. Keep these up in this manner until about four for five of such

two day periods have been covered. Cleanse or sponge off the body after the packs with an alkalin cleanser; such as would be found in baking soda solution, a tablespoonful of baking soda to two quarts of water - the water warm.
7. This will rather tend to relieve these distresses, solving rather from the outside than from within - as with purging of conditions.
8. There needs be in the present no fear of any disorder arising from even these lacerations in stomach, unless they are allowed to remain too long.
9. After the meals for three to four day periods, we find it would be helpful - in caring for the digestion - to take internally a small quantity of the digestant powder known as AL-CAROID; quarter to half a teaspoonful dissolved first in a small quantity of water then a full glass added and drunk.
10. Also we find that small quantities of Saffron tea taken as the drink will be helpful to the body. Instead of the regular water have a weak saffron tea.
11. Occasionally we would have, instead of the Saffron tea, (unless it causes regurgitation or belching) a little elm in the water that is taken; preferably a pinch of the powdered elm - or ground elm - between the fingers, stirred in the water about four to ten minutes before it is to be taken. This will tend to cool and prevent the burning sensations that arise, and the great strain on the nervous system.
12. We would not have ADJUSTMENTS made during these periods that the packs are being used in the area indicated, until this relaxation is removed; that is, until the system is relaxed in that area and the condition of strain removed. But we WOULD have the massage that will make for the RESTING of the body, you see. This if given every other day will be found to be very helpful; THOROUGH massage, but not adjustments made as yet.
13. The alkalin diets are the better. No acids of any quantity. No heavy meats. Little or none of the drinks that carry alcohol, in the present, until we remove these disorders.
14. Enemas, not too high, will be beneficial in relieving and overcoming the distensions in the alimentary canal. These, of course, should not be taken as colonics often; but in the high enemas - as indicated - always use the antiseptics, or to a gallon of water use a level teaspoonful of salt and a heaping teaspoonful of baking soda, and in the last water have at least a tablespoonful of Glyco-Thymoline in each quart of water used. This will prevent any irritation arising from the removal of the fecal forces, or those tendencies for the accumulations from the gas

formation that has arisen in the system.
15. And we would take the Alcaroid as indicated for some little time, until we see the effect of the activity of the oil from without, before we take a heavy purgative from within. Do not use the heavy purgatives when it can be prevented, until we have at least cleansed these conditions in the gall duct and stomach area.
16. And with the use of these properties we will find relief very soon.
17. Ready for questions.
18. (Q) How much of the pain, gas and disturbance is from the liver, and how much from the gall bladder? (A) As indicated, this is from where secretions have accumulated; it is as much from the STOMACH and the gall bladder - than from the liver itself; though the gall bladder, of course, is a portion of the liver, you see. But follow these applications, not being on the feet too much nor stirring about.
19. (Q) Should I have gall bladder out? (A) Not at present; especially not under the existing conditions!
20. (Q) Should all present treatments be discontinued? (A) Follow these as we have just indicated here, now, until we have the eliminations through those reactions in the areas indicated for the application of the oil packs.
21. (Q) Any further advice? (A) Do these for the present, and we would give - in fifteen days - further advice.
22. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file
