Time of Reading 6:00 to 6:10 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [560]; this we have had before.
2. Now, as we find, we have somewhat of a return of those conditions that have disturbed the body. This, however, arises from rather a different condition, through the effect of those changes [Menopause?] in the eliminations of the body and of the congestions that have arisen. These are the seat or the cause of the conditions in the present.
3. While there are those tendencies for the cramping and the nausea, with the inability for the body to relax nominally, these arise as much from the mental attitude - or worriment - as from the conditions-physical. Yet the conditions-physical bring about those tentative reactions in the nerves as to make for the distressed conditions.
4. We will find it would be well in the present to massage into the lower portion of the cerebrospinal system, from the 9th dorsal to the lower portion of the sacral, equal parts of Mutton Suet or Mutton Tallow (melted), Spirits of Camphor and Spirits of Turpentine; just sufficient massaged in to make for the absorption of same. This should extend also across the area or region of the colon.
5. And then apply hot heavy flannels, with preferably hot packs as of damp towels heavily folded, see?
6. We would take internally a compound prepared in this manner:
7. To 4 ounces of Simple Syrup, add: Tincture of Valerian...................1 ounce, Elixir Calisaya........................1 ounce, Iodide of Potassium, 10% solution.....40 minims, Bromide of Potassium, 10% solution....20 minims, Tincture of Capsici...................10 minims.
8. Shake the solution together before the dose would be

taken, which would be a teaspoonful every three hours until there is relief or ease, or the activity through the alimentary canal and those eliminations from the perspiration and the general relaxation of the system.
9. Also we find it would be well to take very small doses of Castoria - Fletcher's Castoria; half a teaspoonful every half hour until there is full and complete elimination through the alimentary canal. These properties would not interfere with the dosage of that compound given above.
10. As to the matter of the diet, let this be very similar to that which we have indicated; while in the IMMEDIATE it would be rather of the semi-liquid or the activities of same in such natures as to be easily assimilated.
11. We would also have from three to six general osteopathic manipulations, ESPECIALLY in those areas of the lower dorsal and the lumbar, with the coordinating of those in the cervical area.
12. Do these, and, as we find, we would bring the nearer normal conditions for this body.
13. Ready for questions.
14. (Q) Has urinary abscess which I had in the spring been entirely overcome? (A) Natural strain or effects; but this is not a portion of the condition, as we find, in the present. There are evidences, of course, of the accumulations - but if these packs are given we will overcome such. These packs, of course, would be kept up for periods from half to three-quarters of an hour, two or three times each day.
15. (Q) Please explain why there is soreness in the lower portion of the body. (A) Congestion.
16. (Q) Should sweets be discontinued? (A) Sweets are not harmful if they are of the proper character or kind. Only honey, or those in whose combination the honey is used these are not harmful to the body.
17. (Q) Should tea and coffee be used by this body? (A) In moderation we do not find them harmful.
18. (Q) Have I been over-exercising? (A) Overstrain, with the lack of proper eliminations.
19. (Q) Any other suggestions for the body? (A) These we would do in the present.
20. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file
