Time of Reading 3:40 to 3:55 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before, [566].

2. As we find, there are still those acute conditions that have been intimated or given heretofore. There has been some relapse owing to infectious forces, especially in the soft tissue of the head, and especially in the throat and head.

3. In the present, as we find, there should be rather a combination of that which has been intimated.

4. First we would give those properties as would act upon the circulation and the eliminations from the system.

5. We would take the Castoria. To a small size bottle (or 900 drops) add one-half teaspoonful Syrup of Senna. Shake this well together, then give in broken doses; half a teaspoonful every half hour until there are the THOROUGH EVACUATIONS through the alimentary canal.

6. Also we would prepare a cough syrup in this way and manner:

7. To 1 1/2 ounces of Distilled Water add 2 ounces of Strained Honey. Let this come to a boil. Then add: Glycerine................1/4 ounce, Syrup of Horehound.......1/2 ounce, Chloroform................15 minims. Take a dose of this (one-half teaspoonful) whenever there are the tendencies for the spasmodic condition of coughing. This is only to be taken as an expectorant and as a stopping for the tickling in the throat, see?

8. When there are those pains in the ear, drop in the ear one drop (out of a dropper) of WARM (not hot, but warm) Sweet Oil. Not Camphorated, but SWEET Oil.

9. Also, for massaging, we would prepare a compound with equal portions of Mutton Tallow, Spirits of Turpentine, Spirits of Camphor, Compound Tincture of Benzoin. Heat the

Mutton Suet and then add the others. Stir together. MASSAGE this on the throat, around the ear, across the nasal passages, and as much as the body will absorb. Of evenings when ready to retire, a flannel would be heated and placed at the base of the throat - or just where there is the indentation, you see, and across the upper portion of the chest. This, of course, should be taken off of mornings.

10. Do this, though, and we would find that we would remove these conditions.

11. Of course, the eliminations must be kept as a greater portion of that as will cause the circulation to be aided and to take away the disturbing conditions, but the massage, the drops, will relieve the distressed areas, as well as the syrup relieve the tendency for coughing.

12. Let the diet be principally citrus fruit juices, beef juice, whole wheat cereals. Not too much of starches, but fruits of all kinds may be taken. These should be the PRINCIPAL portions of the diet.

13. Ready for questions.

14. (Q) In adding the Senna to the Castoria, should any of the Castoria be removed? (A) The full quantity; there will be sufficient position or space in the neck of the bottle.

15. (Q) What is the condition of her tonsils? (A) Infectious forces and the conditions that have been indicated. Some massage or the rubs with the oils along the spine will aid this more than anything else in the present.

16. (Q) Do you recommend a change of climate for recuperation? If so, where and how long? (A) To be sure, the change of climate would be helpful in the immediate; though, as we find, if there are the proper precautions taken, in three or four days this condition should be allayed. Then, for the general health, if ten days to two weeks to three weeks are needed for the better recuperation, the southern portions of Florida or the like - as Miami, or Miami Beach.

17. (Q) How soon should she be allowed to go out? (A) Not until there is no more of the cough, no more of the inflammation through the face and the throat area.

18. (Q) What caused the bad attack of earache since last reading? (A) Infectious forces from the general conditions in the soft tissues of the face. This comes more from the Eustachian tubes, and from the inflammation in the tonsil area.

19. (Q) What should be avoided in the diet, especially? (A) As indicated, starch.

20. (Q) What can be done to prevent taking cold? (A) Remove the conditions, and keep the system alkaline.

21. (Q) What produced the infectious forces in the system? (A) Cold and congestion. Do these, as we have indicated, and - as we find - we will rid the body of these disturbances. Keep the system alkaline. Test same by the spittle or by the urine, with litmus paper.
