1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [572].

2. Now, as we find, the conditions are rather serious in the present state, yet the requirements are rather that there be the nursing or the care and precautions taken with the body respecting diet and activity, and not a great amount of medication save that the eliminations be kept in a normal manner.

3. These, then, are the conditions we find with this body, [572] we are speaking of:

4. The BLOOD SUPPLY, as we find, is quite deficient; and the distressing conditions that have existed in the lungs, especially in the pleura of the lungs, are in a manner the greater cause of the disturbance in the circulation as related to the eliminations. For, without the proper oxidization or carbonization in the lungs themselves, the blood supply becomes heavy, and the activity of the hepatic circulation becomes so involved as to make accumulations of poisons in the body that form toxic forces in the liver - as well as distresses for the kidneys. For, without the throwing off of the poisons through the lungs proper, to be sure the kidneys suffer the greater. Hence the precautions, as indicated, not only as to keeping the eliminations near normal but as to the activity in the diet to build for the gland secretions as to the various organs and their activity in eliminations; especially those upon which the greater stress in laid as to quantity.

5. Then, the blood being heavy, it is not oxidized or carbonized sufficient for the general condition not to be surcharged with poisons.

6. The NERVE SYSTEMS do not enter so much into the distresses, but naturally - from general strain in the system - there are period when the body does not rest so well. This is rather a reflex condition. And yet there are other periods when, while the body-PHYSICAL rests, the

572-1 Page 2

imaginative forces - or the tendencies for the temperatures that arise - cause activities that are not always pleasant.

7. As to the ORGANS themselves, we have indicated that the lungs - or the pleura and the lungs themselves - are the greater cause of distress. While there is not so much the activity of tubercle in the lungs, with the natural activity from a collapse - or from the pleura being so inflamed, and the lack of proper expanse for the clearing or purifying of the blood supply, with the natural toxic forces - this is INCLINED to become the more active. And there are few bodies that do not sooner or later, or at most times, have such an infectious force in their systems. But when the active forces in the body-physical and the organs as related to the creating of the blood supply are sufficient to keep the warriors active that would destroy same, then there is little to be feared from such conditions.

8. These having been active in this body, and from the inflammation in the lung and the pleura being so acted upon, they are to be feared. Hence the precautions as to the nursing and as to the diet, that there may be rebuilt in the system the activity necessary for recuperative forces.

9. As we find, then, this would be the manner in which to bring about the quicker recuperative measures for the body.

10. First, there should be kept as much pure fresh air in the room as possible or in the quarters where the body may be kept. However, there should never be a draft directly on the body. Too, there should be precautions that the body is bathed sufficiently often that there is a GREATER reaction through the respiratory or sweat portions of the body. While the water used should not be so hot as to leave the pores open, it should be of tepid temperature; with sufficient of the RUBBING not to cause irritation but to stimulate the outside portion or the superficial circulation, such as to cause the abilities of the body to receive the rays not only of the sun but of the air itself so as to be effective to the blood supply in its circulation to the capillary and to the exterior portions of the body.

11. Also we would be mindful that there is kept, as indicated, the necessary activity in the lungs as to make for a purification of the air as much as possible. Hence we would find that it would be very helpful to occasionally burn in the room fumes from a croup cup or an open vessel (croup cup the better) that may enter into the air which the body breathes into its lungs in the normal manner. In the water (in either croup cup or open vessel) we would put:

572-1 Page 3

Eucalyptol.................10 to 15 minims, Tincture of Benzoin.........5 to 10 minims, Creosote..........................1 minim, Tolu solution....................15 minims.

12. For medication it would also be well to take a one grain Calcidin Tablet once or twice each day, dependent upon how much irritation there is in the body attempting to rest in the evenings or during those periods when there tends to be the irritations in throat.

13. As to the diet, this would be given, as an outline - though it may be changed from time to time:

14. All the milk having the animal heat in same that the body can drink. This wouldn't be a great deal in the beginning, but it may be increased. And do not take quantities of sweet milk unless it does have the animal heat in same. When milk is taken otherwise, let it be with egg and spirits frumenti or apple brandy instead of the spirits frumenti. This should be taken in small quantities, not gulped. Two teaspoonsful would be much better than two big swallows, for it would work better with the digestive system and keep the activity of the blood supply and the gastric juices of the stomach itself.

15. We would also have an alcohol rub occasionally; that is, with the rub alcohol, when the bath is given; especially across and between shoulders - that is, the lower cervical and upper dorsal and across the lower part of the back, you see, over the kidney area, that there may be those activities that will aid these from being so congested and keep away the temperature that rises from the system.

16. Also we find that the beef juice would be well, and especially ONION juice - the juice squeezed from onions that are STEAMED, you see; this taken two or three times a day in small quantities - the JUICE from same.

17. Keep the care and the attention, and the right proportions of activity as the body recuperates, without taking cold, and we will find the body will recuperate - and in three to six months should be able to be up and active.

18. Of course, there may be changes as we keep up the eliminations or as conditions develop.

19. Enemas are well for the body occasionally.

20. Ready for questions.

21. (Q) How often would you suggest the tepid baths be given? (A) At least once each day. This may be a sponge bath, to be sure.

22. (Q) Are the fumes from the croup cup to be used in a closed room? (A) Not necessary; just so the fumes blow especially over

572-1 Page 4

the body.

23. (Q) Why does he feel smothered? (A) Lack of air space in lungs!

24. (Q) Has he adhesions from a gall bladder trouble operation? (A) As indicated, it would be well that there be kept the eliminations through the hepatic circulation, you see. Adhesions exist, but these are not the main trouble. Rather let's not have adhesion in the lungs!

25. (Q) Why does weakness continue? (A) The poor circulation. The lack of the resistances in the body, and especially those things as indicated. If four to six ounces of the beef juice were taken during the day, it would not be too much - if the body assimilates it. But it should never be more than two or three teaspoonsful at a time, and SIPPED - rather than taking gobs or spoonsful at the time, you see. Taken often, every twenty to thirty minutes, would be better. The spirits frumenti or apple brandy in the eggnogs would be taken twice each day. Don't overtax the system by feeding it, but feeding it all it WILL assimilate will help. Rest, of course, until the body feels stronger, or until greater strength and resistance is exhibited.

26. (Q) Are the toxins treatments beneficial or harmful? (A) Harmful.

27. (Q) Has he a collapsed left lung? (A) As has been given, it's collapsed.

28. (Q) Is he asthmatic? (A) With a collapsed lung, he IS asthmatic!

29. (Q) Are his kidneys in good condition? (A) We have given the conditions regarding the kidneys. They are overtaxed from toxic forces that are produced in every system where the lungs are involved. We would correct the conditions as we have indicated; for nursing is needed rather than medication. The care of the lungs is necessary, to be sure, but this should be in the way of precautions and not medication - and not puncturing either, in the body or spine, or any of those things. For, to add dead forces to a body ALREADY infected by toxic forces - unless there is resistance - doesn't help a great deal. Where there IS resistance, then it may be built upon - and oftentimes is beneficial. Do as we have given for this body, [572].

30. We are through for the present.

The PURE onion juice my be obtained by cooking the onion in Patapar paper, so that it is not necessary to add any water. Then squeeze out juice and take as directed.)
