Time of Reading 11:25 to 11:40 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [572]; this we have had before.

2. As we find, in the general and in many ways there are improvements in the general physical forces of the body. To be sure, as an expression, the body is not entirely "out of the woods" yet; yet there are SO MANY BETTER conditions, and so much more resistance builded than at some other periods we have had this here, that the body should take hope and be much more optimistic at the outcome of these conditions.

3. To be sure, there should be rather that expectant attitude of the body; not to become overanxious at the slowness and at those detrimental conditions that continue to be in the attitude of the body as related to general conditions. But begin to PLAN as to what the body will DO when and AS the improvements come; for unless there is the expectancy, unless there is hope that is given, first the spirit and then the body - and then the activity in the mind of an individual life and its manifestation and its outlook becomes a drag, a drug on the hands of one that is being attacked from within, as we would say, by the dis-eases of a physical body. But hope and trust and faith in the divine within, that may find manifestations in all the applications that may be made for the revivifying, the rejuvenating of that spirit of life and truth within every atom of the body, will put to flight all of those things that hinder a body from giving expression of the most hopeful, the most beautiful. Not only be good; be good FOR SOMETHING! Hold to that which is of Truth!

4. In the body-physical we find there have been reactions at times (and others may be expected), but do not let them overcome; rather overcome those reactions where there is a tendency for the flow of the blood from the lungs to the other portions of the system through the conditions that have existed, and as we have indicated in the lung, in the

572-5 Page 2

throat, and in the activities of the system itself. But as the atoms of the blood stream are given new life by the application of the material things from without, and from the mental attitude of self given new purposes and new aims and new outlook, we will find that the organs will be RENEWED to their functionings of usefulness; thus bringing about near normal conditions for this body.

5. Make haste SLOWLY in all that thou doest. Keep these in the present for the body:

6. All the beef juices the body will WELL assimilate. Use at least a pound of the meat and make the juice from same EVERY DAY. Take it very slowly and often.

7. Keep the fumes (not the material itself) from the brandies or the distillations of the spirits frumenti as inhalations for the lungs themselves.

8. When necessary take once, twice to thrice a day a one grain tablet of Calcidin. This should add sufficient of the revivifying forces to the glands and to the blood supply as to create new energies.

9. We would take all of the blood and nerve building foods that can be assimilated by the body.

10. Keep all the olive oil the body can well assimilate; small quantities, but take the doses often - this is much better than large quantities.

11. Do this, and keep those attitudes.

12. Keep in the open as much as practical or possible, but not too strong a sunshine even yet; not IN the wind but in the air.

13. Ready for questions.

14. (Q) What is specific cause of continuation of shortness of breath? (A) This is from the inability of the lungs in their air chambers to be filled with the proper oxidization; that is, the lungs themselves are not solidified, but the air chambers are CLOSED - and thus form rather a gurgling, or a tendency of feeling a heaviness and a pain even in the side of the chest if a deep breath is taken - and the tendency to want to cough. But continue these things that give new life to the blood, and that keep the eliminations. Do not allow a single day without an activity from the liver and kidneys to be near NORMAL; for these are the balancing organs in the system.

15. (Q) What direct thing should I do to remove the shortness of breath? (A) As indicated. All of these conditions are a part and parcel. For the strength to be maintained in the system

isn't all. It isn't all merely to have something to eat, but here must be first the fuel, the ability to consume same, and the ability for the organ to disperse same in the proper ratio to the various portions of the body. Hence all of those suggestions, physical AND mental, are a portion of the applications for [572].

16. (Q) Have I fluid in my left lung? (A) No. Rather is this the lymph that GURGLES back.

17. (Q) Should I take the liver extract still? (A) Occasionally. The beef juices are much the better, and are fresher. This should be made each day, not kept over for a day or two.

18. (Q) Should I take digitalis for the smothering? (A) Digital, rather than digitalis, would be more effective. Of course, this should be given under the direction of a physician. If there be the insistence - well, it isn't as well, but keep it.

19. (Q) Is this harmful to me? (A) In excess is harmful. But it becomes very necessary at times.

20. (Q) Shall I still continue all the treatments as given in former readings? (A) Rather follow the outlines as indicated here, not leaving off those that are helpful - but follow these, knowing and seeing - not as rote in doing this or that at any particular time, but knowing - that the spirit of truth, of God, is manifested in the life flow not only of self but of those things that would create in the atoms of the body itself the awareness of His presence being and abiding with thee. So, unless these be builded with a mind of service to Him, UNLESS they are builded in such, it is vain. But build with those purposes, those desires, putting self in the hands of Him who is the Giver of all good and perfect gifts, who maketh and taketh away Life itself. PUT thyself, thy life, thy troubles, in His hand, and have Him - THROUGH those influences of His life upon the life of individuals in the world - MOULD thee into a life of service for Him.
