Time of Reading 3:40 to 4:10 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [582].

2. Now, as we find, there are abnormal conditions produced in the physical forces of this body. These, as we find, in the greater part are reflex conditions rather than those of organic nature; though the organs of the body are involved and at times affected by the condition.

3. The condition, as we find, is one that arises from an old subluxation in the cerebrospinal system, and this has gradually produced the disorder; through the impulses created in some directions by overstimulation and in others under-stimulation and the cutting off of the activity in the assimilating and eliminating system in some respects - as we shall see.

4. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [582] we are speaking of, present in this room:

5. First, in the BLOOD SUPPLY, here we find evidences of that which has caused and does cause much of the distress; for the abnormal pressure - as shown in the activity of the circulation, and the effect that such activities produce upon the heart, the liver, the hepatic circulation - is the EFFECT of a subluxation in the upper dorsal area, that affects directly the secondary cardiac plexus; thus producing not only this slowing of the circulation between the heart, the lungs, the liver, but causes that which prevents the eliminations carrying on their proper activity in the system.

6. In times back more than in the present, though it is exhibited in the present also, there was an effect produced in the circulation; also from the slow activity of the eliminations through the alimentary canal, or constipation. This produced toxic forces in the system. Then, with the reactions from the slowed circulation in the heart's

582-1 Page 2

activity, there was produced first the unbalanced katabolism; then producing the deeper or the more SEVERE activity in the metabolism of the body - or the governing forces between the lungs, the heart and the liver.

7. As to the elements of the blood supply, we find toxic forces in these; though not always the malarial reaction, there is the effect of same. Hence the tired heaviness that occurs to the body at times, with the specific character of headache, the heaviness in the lower limbs; all produced from these toxic forces that have gradually built themselves in this body.

8. In the NERVE FORCES, here we find that which may be said to be the basic cause of conditions; yet the nerve systems are affected in a SPECIFIC way and manner in this body, and not as an ordinary condition from high blood pressure or toxic forces either in the system. For the body, under stress and strain is just as serene outwardly as it is in the ordinary activities of the body.

9. Through the pressure that exists in the secondary cardiac area of the dorsals (which is between the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th in the dorsal area; the specific being between the 4th and 5th centers or segments) there has been produced a circular lesion; causing the pressure that has affected the body in this way and manner.

10. As to the ORGANS of the body itself, here we find - as indicated from the first - reflex conditions and NOT causes. Hence the applications to various portions of the system from time to time have at SOME times been palliatives; for they relieve the pressure at the time, but NOT the cause. And when the cycle of activity came about, the distress was as severe as, or more so than when the applications were made.

11. Then, in the activity of the organs themselves in the present, we find:

12. The reflexes from the brain forces, or in the sensory system, are near normal; while reflexes in the extremities - as in knee, elbow, hand or feet - are subnormal. These make for the indications as to how the pressure, through the nerve forces in the organic disturbance, affects the locomotaries in both the lumbar and in the cervical or upper dorsal.

13. In the throat, bronchi, lungs, larynx, a pressure at times produces the shortness of breath. This, however, is more from other organic disturbances or reflexes than any condition in the lungs or in the heart's activity itself; though the pressure has existed for a period sufficient that there is an engorgement in the organ itself - but not

582-1 Page 3

ORGANIC disturbance, though this would be denied by some that are judging from the effects rather than the internal causes.

14. As to the activity of the digestive system, here again we find that there is such an activity from the pressure - the lesion in the 4th and 5th dorsal center - as to produce an abnormal effect in the activity of carbohydrates upon the system. Not that it has prevented the liver, the spleen and the pancreas from being active with the gastric juices of the digestive area; yet proteins or fats become excessive, for the nature of the digestive fluids created under the pressure has been to make an excess of the fluids that have increased the INTERNAL pressure - through the NATURE of the pressure, or fats, internally. This has also tended to produce - through the old condition as described (in the constipation, engorgement in the colon itself, and a prolapsus in the descending and transverse colon - when the gases or the fermentation move forward) - a pressure in the area of the right side, that makes for the transverse reaction in the left portion - or just below the heart and almost opposite the liver area, or right under the left rib area; not in the heart itself or the area of same but - being engorged itself being a shortness of breath - produces almost a non-activity in the circulation from the arteries to the veins.

15. In the area of the liver here we find the pressure in the area of the cardiac being such as to cause a torpidity in a lobe of the liver, with an enlarged portion in the other or right lobe of same. This makes for those conditions which the body terms at times as "spells" of dyspepsia, spells of indigestion, spells of - well, it just hurts all over, across the pit of the stomach and down the right side.

16. These, now, are effects, to be sure, NOT causes; though they do cause the reflexes in portions of the system as to make for great distress.

17. Then, as to the activities necessary for REMOVING these distresses and pressures, we find that the pressure may be reduced too quickly to the detriment of the whole system; yet if measures are taken in a SYSTEMATIC manner and in a CONSISTENT way this may not only be reduced but be corrected so as to give NORMALCY in pulsation, in respiration, in heart's activity, and in the eliminations of the body also.

18. First we would begin with the high COLONIC irrigation, or colonics; though this may be done by self if it is done in a consistent manner. Remove the pressure by relieving the colon; not too fast, but sufficiently that we may remove

582-1 Page 4

the causes of the pressures in this area. The first week we would take at least two colonic irrigations. The next week take only one, and the next week one. Then it should not be necessary for more than one a month for two to three months.

19. After the first irrigation we would begin with the use of Castor Oil packs across the colon area, from the right side to the left, all across the transverse colon area.

20. After the packs have been used for one day, then begin with corrections osteopathically of that subluxation; especially in the upper dorsal area, as indicated. Take at least sixteen treatments; at least eight of these should be adjustments, while the others would be to coordinate the varied organs affected by the correction.

21. Also each day add the vibration from the Radio-Active Appliance, but here apply same in a different order from that ordinarily given. Make the first connection to the 9th dorsal plexus, and the other connection the first afternoon or evening - to the right wrist. The first application or first anode, you see, to the 9th dorsal plexus, then the other one connected to the right wrist. The next day connect to the 9th dorsal first, then to left ankle. The next day connect to the 9th dorsal first, then to the left wrist. And the next day to the 9th dorsal first and then to the right ankle. And so on complete around, you see, changing the application each day as given; and we would use it for at least thirty to sixty minutes each day. This will create the balance for the circulation.

22. And in six weeks we will have a normal balance and a normal blood pressure, a normal heart activity, a normal lung expansion, and the liver will be in a much more normal condition.

23. Ready for questions.

24. (Q) Will this be a permanent cure? (A) That's what we have been trying to impress, that this is to remove the CAUSES so that it is not just palliative but a cure, bringing the body to normal. Yes, it'll lose about twenty pounds in flesh, but it'll be better for the body!

25. (Q) Have I finished the menopause period, and has this had any bearing on my condition? (A) It has only added TO the condition; for, as has been indicated, the FIRST trouble began in a period some six to eight years ago, when there was trouble with constipation and the resultant conditions both in the kidney and the liver area. Then there became the pressure that brought about a gradual increase in the pressure on the circulatory

582-1 Page 5

system, the engorging of the colon, the prolapsus from those treatments that were given then in the descending colon - and these were only EFFECTS that were being treated. Do these, and we will bring the body to a near NORMAL condition.

26. (Q) Please outline the diet best for me. (A) As indicated from that given, anything else that the body calls for may be eaten except these things that it should beware of. No red meats, no rare meats of any kind. Not too much sugars, nor too great a QUANTITY of starches. Then, outside of that, eat anything you want!

27. (Q) Should I have regular rest periods, or is normal activity harmful? (A) As may have been indicated by the manner in which these are to be applied, during the first portions when there is so much strain to be on the system - for the next three weeks (if you begin early with this) - have rest periods. Afterwards, well - just don't work yourself to death, because you'll feel so much better you'll want to!

28. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (Letter was enclosed to Dr. Bright. [Samvil H. Bright, D.O.] Follow all treatments in order indicated.)
