Time of Reading 3:00 to 3:20 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia.
1. GC: You will have before you the entity, [585], born March 18, 1896, in Norfolk, Va., who now seeks enlightenment and expansion upon her life Reading given June 15, 1934; especially in relationship to getting established in her proper life work in the present. Considering her desire to use her life in the channel through which the greatest good may come, you will advise her just how she should proceed, in order to be self-supporting and also help her daughter, [308]. You will answer the questions she submits, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind of the entity, [585]; also the information which has been given respecting the experiences and the applications of self through the material planes - and as to the application of self in the present to meet these.
3. As we find, taking those conditions into consideration, as well as the general circumstances which surround the body in the present - the activities in companionship with, or as a nurse or aid to those who are in need of same, would be channels through which there may be the expression (though it should be done very diplomatically) of the teachings, the influences and forces that may be made to be manifested in the daily experiences of the entity.
4. While for the time being it would appear that this would not be wholly in keeping with those experiences for self or for daughter, we find that these activities would bring eventually - and in due season - those associations, those relations in which the greater help may be given by the entity, as well as enabling the entity to fulfillthose purposes and come nearer and nearer to those activities in which there may come the greater development.
5. Then, let it be known that there is the desire to do that character of work in the present; and then talk, pray and act on those experiences, those opportunities that are presented from time to time.

6. Ready for questions.
7. (Q) To whom should I apply first, or through whom should I let it be known? (A) Those regular channels - through the newspapers as well as through the general circumstance and surroundings; preparing self more and more in those lines of endeavor and activity at all times. Study, of course, physiology, anatomy, economics, and the home environs - and such general activities. All of these should be studied. The activities would be rather as a practical nurse, but more of the application with same as the companion.
8. (Q) Please advise me what to do in order to be helped by the Neptune influence? (A) As just indicated. The Neptune influences, then, are those that are close to or about water, see?
9. (Q) How can I change the adverse influence of Venus? (A) By applying love in the life, and not that of a censorious (?) [sensuous?] nature.
10. (Q) Have I turned aside those influences that may bring glory and honor in this life? (A) NO!
11. (Q) Who was my father in Salem, when I was Marjarie? (A) William.
12. (Q) Do I know him in the present? (A) We do not find it so.
13. (Q) Have I met those people in the present who are to pay and pay? [See 585-2, Par. 21 on 6/15/34.] And in what way must they pay? (A) Rather would there be given for the entity, if it would become more constructive, that the OPPORTUNITY will be given these to pay and pay. If these were to become as common knowledge - well, are you able to bear it? Rather fulfillthat you know, and let those things be as the natural result in activities for whom intended. For, "Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord."
14. (Q) As Anilen in Palestine, was I the Syrophenician who sought healing for her daughter, as recorded in the Bible, or some other? (A) Companion with the Syrophenician, and a Syrophenician herself.
15. (Q) [Question 15 submitted by Miss [993]] Was Zend, of the Persian period, the same as Isaiah, the prophet, as recorded in the Bible? [See 993-3 Reports.] (A) No.

16. (Q) Was I marked by Ra-Ta in the Egyptian period? If so, where, and what is the meaning of it? (A) In the face and the mouth; that there be not too much talk.
17. (Q) How can I be of greater service to others and able to aid many? (A) By applying self in those things, and in doing those very activities, through those influences as we have indicated. For, "Inasmuch as ye do it to the least, ye do it to thy Maker." These things ye know. Then these things apply, WITHOUT QUESTION as to WHAT would be the relationships or the activities - but that His glory may be manifested in thee. Thus will the glory, the honor and the praise come to thee in this material experience.
18. (Q) What should be my attitude, and action, toward my present husband, [1538]? and how could I best help him? (A) Here, as we find - as the circumstances have come about - a loving indifference.
19. (Q) Please give me any further advice that would be helpful. (A) Study each day to show thyself approved unto that which is thy conviction, which is thy faith. Hold fast to the purposes for a spiritual AND a material demonstration; but not WAITING upon nor depending upon, nor judging by, material explanation or manifestation. Rather, as indicated, keep self unspotted from the world. And in these ways and manners will there come the greater help, force and influence as may be in the experience in the present. For His arm is not short, as men count shortness. And know that the silver and the gold, the lands are His. Then as ye fill that place that glorifies, magnifies HIS praise in the earth, know that whatever is sufficient will be meted unto thee. Cease not to pray often. Not that ye would induce or persuade God, through the Christ, to be on thy side; but that thyself may be attuned to His will. Then, as He has indicated, magnify that which is of Him.
