Time of Reading 3:55 to 4:25 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.C. (Body and enquiring mind, in regard to his work with the human body, and his better material welfare. Ques.)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [589]; this we have had before, as well as the activities and the application of the body respecting the curing of human ills. Ready for questions.
2. (Q) Is it advisable for Dr. [666] of ... St., of ..., Ohio and myself to go in practice together at this time? (A) If the association is to be made in the surroundings of Dayton, as we find, at this time, considering all conditions, both as to the economic and as to the relationships in the varied activities of each, this WOULD be well - and would make, now, most satisfactory arrangements for all concerned.
3. (Q) Would it be best to locate in downtown section of Dayton, Ohio or at his present address in Dayton, Ohio? (A) In their combination or association, as we find, it would be better in the present surroundings or environs.
4. (Q) If not in Dayton, Ohio, what state - (A) (Interrupting) Best in Dayton, as we find, when all conditions and surroundings are to be considered. For, as we find, there are many economic changes to come, and all these must be taken into consideration as well as the location. With the change, naturally there would be an enlarging in office or in space for the application of the abilities of each, and they each in their respective ways and manners meeting those conditions that arise in the associations, as well as in the individual application of self.
5. (Q) Where can I locate a Doctor of Chiropractic to take over my practice in ..., N.C.? (A) As we find, in either the Des Moines or Chicago association there would be furnished those associations that would make for proper connections in this direction.

6. (Q) What happens to the physiology of a body when a Basic Technic Adjustment is given? (A) That portion is released so that the replenishing and rebuilding goes on; provided there is sufficient activity of the glands to secrete the impulses that operate through those portions of the organism affected by the release. Hence at times in chiropractic by the more successful operator it is found not only necessary to make basic adjustments but secondary activity also, to stimulate the gland secretion - and change the diet of the patient.
7. (Q) Is it true an organ or organs can be diseased from a distorted body, due to distortion causing a smalling of the cavity of organ or organs and no direct nerve impingement by subluxation? (A) True. For, by even that of fear or of any activity upon the impulse of the secondary nerve system or the sympathetic, there may be produced the indigent activity in ganglia such as to cause suppression to such a degree as to produce a lessening of the capacity of pulsation or impulse arising from such an area; thus producing disease in an organ or organs. Also it is known, and should be more practiced in chiropractic, that unless glands secrete that element necessary for activity of organ or organs, or even of brain centers themselves, the distress REMAINS. Hence as indicated, specific adjustment and secondary must often go hand in hand, especially where there may be found that from all indications there is a perfect alignment in each segment along the cerebrospinal system. But as much by touch of the cold and hot areas as by the psychometric activity upon many of the diagnostic instruments that are now applied in such treatments. For, as indicated by those instruments in which the use of the blood gives what the repression is, or the area of repression, so must the adjustment or stimulation by the activity of counter-irritation produce activity in organs of the system. What a treatise might be made on these very things!
8. (Q) Is it true if the gravity centers of the body are in alignment there is no disease in that body? (A) No. For while the gravity centers may be out of any order of repression, either by subluxation or sublimate, there may be the centers in a perfect alignment as we have just given, and still the GLANDS might be lacking the impulse - from improper diet. For unless this as just stated were true, a constant diet of any ingredient would not change the organic functioning.

9. (Q) Is the Sacrum always out of alignment when disease is found in the human body? (A) Always AFFECTED; not necessarily out of alignment. There is usually in the 4th lumbar, and - of course - the axis of the sacral, the indication as to whether the repression is above or below the diaphragm.
10. (Q) Which is the better of the two, to X-Ray patients in upright normal positions or in prone or lying down positions for Basic Technic Adjustments? (A) Prone. Lying down.
11. (Q) Which of the two X-Ray films are best to use, 14" x 17" or 14" x 36" for Basic Technic Adjustments? (A) 14" x 17" should be sufficient, and in most of the conditions is sufficient.
12. (Q) Is it advisable to use my Shelton Vibrator after giving a Basic Technic Adjustment, or before adjustment? (A) Before adjustment will make for the easier activity through same than afterward, for the stimulation makes for the flow of impulse, or blood, or lymph, through affected areas that are adjusted, that are more health-giving than making same afterward.
13. (Q) Would it be advisable to have Miss Mabel Marker for general office girl? (A) We haven't Miss Marker.
14. (Q) What procedure can I take to collect outstanding accounts? (A) As comes with the regular routine in such conditions, which naturally - under the surroundings - would be the greater part by making promissory notes of such periods that may be taken care of satisfactorily; which would be, as we find, the most satisfactory way under the existent conditions.
15. (Q) Is Dr. Hugh B. Logan the founder and developer of Basic Technic? (A) We haven't Dr. Logan. The founder? May be said to be Co-founder, but of basic technic? He is very presumptuous to claim so, when there has been as much activity in this field as there has - but if he wants the credit, give it to him - won't hurt to use it!
16. (Q) Is a Radionic analysis a true diagnostic method, or is it just another outfit to fool the patient? (A) This depends upon the technician with same. The ability may be developed in the technician or physician using same. To one it may be a perfect attunement and get at least eighty percent of correct diagnosis, and to another it wouldn't get ten percent! It is a good instrument, but about one in five hundred will know how to use it!

We would leave it alone, if you are going to use the basic principles and abilities of this man you're asking about - [589] - he knows his business very well anyway! Common sense is better than all the instruments we can make! And he has very good common sense!
