1. HLC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions that may be asked:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [589].

3. Now, in giving that as we find which may be helpful or beneficial to the better physical forces of this body, the mental attitudes must be taken into consideration. For these, as we find, are the basis of those physical disturbances with this body.

4. There has been and is too oft the attempt to run away from self, or self's obligations, self's duties. [GD's note: Could this refer to his determination to break up his marriage? See wife [371]'s letter [371-2, Par. R3] of 4/3/39 saying Dr. [589] had told her he didn't want her any more, after eighteen years of marriage.]

5. At first, it may appear that such is of self's OWN making, or self's own interest, and does not concern others. Yet the entity may find that this is the true basis of the disturbance, if it will analyze those experiences which have brought on this inability to concentrate, to coordinate at all times the activity necessary through the body to carry on in the administration to others of those influences known within the body itself to be for the best interests of those to whom the body ministers.

6. As to the rights or the wrongs of these attitudes, and these activities - only self may judge, according to that which IS the entity's ideal.

7. What, then, IS thy ideal? mentally, spiritually, physically or materially?

8. As is understood, these must of necessity be founded in that which is constructive and creative in its import.

9. That which is of self alone, or self-indulgence, or

589-4 Page 2

self-aggrandizement, can only bring confusion - whether it be in the spiritual, mental or physical self.

10. "As ye would that others should do to you, do ye even so to them" is not merely an axiom, not merely a saying that has found ready utterance on the tongues of those who would have their way here or there. They are principles, spoken and manifested by LIFE MADE MANIFEST in a material body, in such measures, in such a manner as to be creative in itself!

11. So, as self analyzes these attitudes, let it be with those principles in mind - if there would come that united effort within self to carry on in a material world that whereunto the body has purposed, has desired, or for the body to find within its mental self - yea, in its physical self - that which will bring peace and harmony in such measures as to bring contentment.

12. This done - there may be material things applied which will aid in bringing the proper physical equilibrium.

13. For, through these attitudes there has been a wrecking of the activities of the sympathetic nervous system with the organs of the body - by creating - through such - natures that have prevented the normal activity; though the organs themselves do not indicate there is disease - rather dis-ease, or warnings that there is abuse to their perfect functioning in a body-physical and mental, that may accomplish not only those things that may bring contentment and happiness to the body itself but in the lives, in the experiences of others arouse and bring hope where there has been discouragement, dismay, sorrow, pain - yea, even dire distress in body and mind.

14. Thus it behooves the body, first, to analyze itself; not from the anatomical structure alone, but that being produced WITHIN the physical forces or the anatomy of the body by those very influences - which create here - as in the liver, the gall duct, the spleen and the pancreas especially - such a strain as to cause insomnia, forgetfulness as it were at times, and those repressions, the desire to "get away," the desire to do something else than that as being attempted from time to time.

15. For, unless there IS the turning about, these must suffer to such an extent as to become more and more active in their disturbance to the physical forces of the body.

16. Then, after there has been the self-analysis in the manner indicated, there would be made these material applications - not merely as an outward show, nor as a justification of that attitude or activity; for, know that truth and life need no justification - only glorification, by doing the will of God, which is manifested among men in

"As ye would that others do to you, do ye even so to them."

17. Take - then - sufficient of those vibrations from the low electrical forces that are a part of thy use upon others, in the extreme nervousness, or the attending influences in which there is the desire to bring the better coordination between the sympathetic nervous forces of the body and the cerebro- spinal, to attune thine own body.

18. These would not be such as to remove the first cause, but the material effects; for the mental attitude must be changed, and then those activities of that influence upon the action of the organs as related to the assimilation and stabilization through the flow of blood as related to body-building, as well as body-eliminations, may be stimulated by such material applications as to bring to the body a new life, a new outlook upon the possibilities, upon the opportunities that are before the body in the present.

19. And thus there may be brought the near to normal reaction throughout the system.

20. Ready for questions.

21. (Q) How often would you advise the low electrical treatments, and what should be their nature? (A) These can best be determined by what first is the attitude the entity, the body takes to the very influences as indicated. The type or character is that as just indicated, which the body uses for the stimulating of the vibratory forces or the electrical reactions between sympathetic and cerebrospinal system. As to whether this is daily, or two or three times a week, depends upon the needs of the body, and the mental reaction of the body to same! Do not eat when worried. Keep in the open. Talk to God often.
