Time of Reading 11:15 to 11:40 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Ala. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [591].
2. Now, as we find, there are disturbing forces and disorders in the physical functioning of the body, that prevent the better or normal reaction in the physical body of [591].
3. These conditions, as we find, have been of long standing, or the causes of same. While they have been latent during a portion of the time, the general debilitation in the physical body and the worriment in the mental body has allowed the disorders to gain control and in themselves feed upon the vitality of the system. And, as we find, they affect the body in this way and manner:
4. The BLOOD SUPPLY shows inefficiency in the quantity and quality of the red blood cells. The attempt of the system to produce sufficient of the vital energy or vital' through the leucocyte and white blood force as to prevent the inroads of the infectious forces keeps the vitality low, with a tendency for a temperature produced by the great strain that is involving the liver and the kidneys in their activity, and - as in a great percent of those that have a tubercle or a lung disorder - this is the factor that must be warred against; that is, in the liver and the kidneys and their activity, as well as - of course - in keeping that which will supply to the system the conditions that will make for sufficient of the blood building forces in the body as to supply the needs thereof.
5. The strain that is produced upon the organs and the natural reaction from a general debilitated NERVOUS SYSTEM is apparent with this body; and we find conditions that are making heavy inroads upon the activity of the organs, and that much of the area in the lung has already become involved. Yet, there may be applied in the system those things that will guard against the depressions and activities that have been indicated that need to be warned
591-1 Page 2
or warred against, for there is sufficient of the vitality and strength in the body to build sufficient resistance as to overcome and to make for a much nearer normal reaction; thus supplying in this experience for the body the opportunity for working out much of that in the mental and in the material forces that is desired by the inner self of the body. Yet this, as we find, will require precautions and being consistent and being persistent with those applications that would be made for the betterment of these conditions in this body.
6. Then, in meeting the needs of those things as we find for this body, first we would give this:
7. While there should be some activity physically, a great deal of rest will or should be the better portion of that which we would apply. This should be as much in the open as possible; but - because of the rest periods - do not be negligent of self in the cleanliness of the body and the regular baths that would make for a sufficient activity to the respiratory system through the texture of the skin itself, and that would carry away from the system those poisons and accumulations that come naturally through the activity of the body in its attempt to throw off through the system. Cleanliness for the body, especially in these activities, is a necessary precaution.
8. There should be also the antiseptics, and the use of the inhalations for the body that will clarify the lung area, the lung tissue, in such a way and manner as to aid the blood circulation and the purifying of same for the body, as to keep for bettered conditions. Hence we would prepare a gallon of apple brandy, PURE apple brandy, in a charred container. Keep this corked tight, but prepare so that the fumes from the top of the brandy may - with the shaking of same - be inhaled or breathed deep into the lungs three to four times each day. This would be prepared with a tube into the keg, that may be kept corked; not running into the brandy, but the vapor that is above same. Hence we would have the brandy in a two to two and a half gallon container. This will be for an antiseptic and for a healing, and for an aiding to the body itself.
9. We would, at least once or twice each day, take a one grain tablet of Calcidin, which will supply sufficient of the iodine elements to produce a better functioning with the glands of the system, especially as related to the eliminations from the body; that is, the glands of the organs, the glands of the body that function to produce in the system the functionings of the organs as related to their activity in the eliminations of the body.

10. As much as possible we would keep an atmosphere of cheerfulness about the body.
11. Also we would use the Animated Ash; an eighth grain taken into the system each evening before retiring. And five to ten minutes after the Ash has been taken (emptied OUT of capsule onto tongue and washed down with water; do not take IN capsule), we would use the violet ray over the left lobe of the lung itself, front and back, for five to ten minutes, and especially through that area along the cerebrospinal system in the rear or back and that along the connection of the rib with the frontal portion or bone, but over the area of the lobe itself also, you see. This, we will find, will aid in producing a better oxidization, or more oxygen for the blood supply. Do not apply this just as something to be gotten through with, but apply it with the knowledge that the activity of the electrical forces will be effective in the betterment of the condition of the body.
12. Be very mindful of the diet. There should be taken the properties of spirits frumenti with raw egg and milk, not in such quantities as to affect or disturb the activity of the liver and kidneys in their coordinating one with another; hence we would follow the diet in this way and manner:
13. Mornings - citrus fruit juices; combinations of oranges, grapefruit and lemons; that is, one day take one, the next day they may be combined together, or the next day there may be only taken the grapefruit juices, again there may be taken only the lemon juices. These we would have in the early morning, you see; with toast, coddled egg, coffee or tea.
14. In the middle of the forenoon we would take a glass full of malted milk, or any of the dried milk or the like, you see. This may be prepared with a raw egg, but use ONLY the yolk of the egg.
15. Noons - rather a fresh, green, RAW vegetable salad, consisting of such as lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, peppers, radish; ALL of such may be used, with the mayonnaise or oil dressing. Afterwards we would take at least two tablespoonsful of beef juice; just the beef juice, which does not mean broth but the pure beef JUICE; or if preferable this may be taken first, with Graham or brown crackers or the whole wheat bread toasted, then some of the salad or green raw vegetables afterwards - but alter this.
16. In the middle of the afternoon we would have the spirits frumenti, or the better grades of whiskey, but only sufficient to cook the egg; using only the yolk of an egg or two.
17. Evenings - well balanced vegetable diet, well cooked; at
591-1 Page 4
times with fish, mutton, fowl or the like, but no hog meat at ANY time.
18. These will be found to be the most beneficial activities as we find for this body.
19. Do that.
20. Ready for questions.
21. We are through with this reading. Copy to Mrs. [593] " " Ass'n file (DIRECTIONS FOR MAKING PURE BEEF JUICE Put small chunks raw beef in covered fruit jar. Put jar inside pan of water (water coming to about half the depth of jar). Boil until chunks of beef are thoroughly done. Strain. Keep juice in cool place. Take as directed. Or, if preferable or easier, the chunks of beef may be cooked in Patapar paper, then the juice squeezed out. Animated Ash may be obtained only from B. H. Bradley, 5443 Maryland Ave., Chicago, Ill. Copy of letter was enclosed from Bradley to customer explaining what the Ash is. [See under 432-1 Reports, letter dated 11/13/33].)
