Time of Reading 3:40 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Detroit, Mich. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [601]; this we have had before.

2. As we find, there are conditions tending to make for the improvements.

3. However, there are still irritation, great anxieties and excruciating disturbances at times.

4. While there should not be a neglecting of the conditions in any way, we find that the overanxiety and OVERAPPLICATION may cause more harm than help.

5. The recent applications of the X-Ray have been very well. DO NOT, however, have these too close together; at least two weeks apart; at times there may be a longer period between the applications. Three minutes should be sufficient.

6. And do not take the other character of electrical treatment (the B Appliance) on the day the X-Ray treatment is given, OR on the day following!

7. As to the manipulations, these also should not be too often; neither too deep. And the treatment should not be so much the use of the structural portions as levers to release the muscular contractions, but it should be rather of the character or nature to QUIET the superficial nerve reflexes. Such manipulations given twice a week, or twice in ten days should be sufficient. If there are the improper reactions from these, then they may be given oftener or gradually farther apart, depending on the reaction.

8. Beware in the diet of any highly seasoned foods, or too much of those of certain bulbous natures; as beans (that are dried), as the white potato.

9. However, those of the bulbous nature such as the artichoke (any form; there are three that are edible) or the oyster plant are beneficial; also those that carry more of that dextrin of the better nature for any inflammatory conditions.

10. Also those foods that are purifying and cleansing in nature would be well; such as the GREENS (the tops, of

601-27 Page 2

course, not the roots); as mustard, lambs' tongue, poke (not pork meat, but poke greens) [pokeweed] and their combinations.

11. Not too much of turnips - either the greens or the bulbous part; but those other greens which carry HEALING and cleansing forces are well.

12. With the taking of the X-Ray, DO NOT continue with the Tonicine.

13. But DO use occasionally the Sweet Spirits of Nitre. This aids in purifying, cleansing the activities through the kidneys and the bladder.

14. Ready for questions.

15. (Q) Should Dr. Thompson manipulate the lumbar area during treatment? (A) The WHOLE of the cerebrospinal system is the character of manipulation given, as has just been indicated. If the lumbar area is used as an activity upon the functioning of organs, no. If used as an ALLAYING treatment for the inflammation, or the excitement between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal systems, well - all over the system.

16. (Q) Should the B Battery be used each day that the X-Ray is not given? (A) Rather as has just been indicated, not the day the X-Ray is given nor the day following! Other days, use. Not more than twenty to thirty minutes.

17. (Q) Please suggest something to help bowel elimination. (A) As has been suggested in the diets that are of the stimulating nature for eliminations. And when these fail, OIL - Olive Oil, Russian White Oil; either or both of these.

18. (Q) Have been having a burning sensation in the urethra and feeling of pressure. (A) This, as indicated, has been materially aided by the application of the X-Ray, though it will give distresses further at times.

19. (Q) Can X-Ray treatments be avoided by using B Battery consistently as outlined in last Reading? (A) As indicated, kept far apart - not too long, and proper application - these are preferable.

20. (Q) Were these given over the area indicated? (A) These are well.

21. (Q) Is there anything I can take for feeling of weakness even after eating, altho do not have much desire for food? (A) Light wines would be very well.

22. (Q) Being a source of worry and anxiety to [480] and [619] is more upsetting than my own condition. (A) This is purely mental, and must be controlled in the

601-27 Page 3

manners indicated. These are the conditions as we find, and the manners of application in the present.
