This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Va. Beach, Va., this 30th day of May, 1935, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [603], through Active Membership of Mrs. [540] in the Ass''n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

R E A D I N G

Time of Reading 11:30 to 12:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Ck. Life Suggestion)

1. EC: (After delay of fifteen minutes while trying to find definite starting point; evidently something wrong in way suggestion was presented.)

2. We have the information that has been given in the experience of the entity now known as, or called, [603] in the present.

3. In the experience in the earth during the Galilean (or the Palestine) experience, the entity then was born in the earth during those periods when there was the establishing of the proletariat over this portion. Herod Antipas coming to the throne made for the checking up on the numbers of children destroyed by Herod the Great. And the entity, Agatha, was then numbered among those that in Galilee had been spared. For the entity then was of those people who lived in the Nazareth and Capernaum vicinity, being of those whose experience was as the tradesmen as well as of the sea.

4. Hence the entity Agatha, as it grew to maturity in years, became not as a servant (as would be termed in the present) but rather as an instructress, a teacher, in the garrisons of the Roman AND the Galilean peoples; to interpret for the wives, the companions of the Romans, the customs of the Samaritans and their relationships with the Jewish portion of their acceptance.

5. The entity then was in the household of Samantha, that was in the JEWISH portion of the Roman rule; aiding rather in the collecting - or recording of the collecting - of the tribute for the Roman people.

6. With the ministry of John near the lower waters of the Jordan, with the ministry later of Jesus of Nazareth, the entity became more and more outspoken as to the acceptance of the various teachings. And, as would be called in the present, this caused rebuffs from the soldiery or those of the garrison; for it was considered among those that would assist in a rebellious activity. For the entity with its

training and learning, both in the activities of the Samaritans and the Jewish people - and also the Romans, rose to power in the position as one of its sex could or would during those periods.

7. Then began the closer associations with those of the soldiery, and this became at a time a part of the undoing - or the losing of favor of the entity with a portion of the associations in the Samaritan portion of the acquaintanceship.

8. Then there was more and more the acceptance of the Jewish and then the Roman activity, until the entity came in contact with the Master - or Jesus - in His ministry through that portion of the land.

9. The entity then joined with those that moved from place to place, ministering, teaching; and general activity as would be called in the present as missionary associations.

10. In those periods when there were the persecutions of the Herodians, that during that portion had held to the mixing of the blood of the human with those of the sacrifice, the entity then again rebelled with those people who held CLOSER to the teachings of the Master. It joined THEN with those in Caesarea who made for the establishing of a definite organization; and in the latter portion of the sojourn became rather as one to whom many went for counsel in their problems of the social, political or religious experiences in that period; passing from that sojourn or experience at the age of ninety-six.

11. In making practical application of that experience, with those whom the entity may contact in the present, we find many of the varied ideas in the present that bespeak of the political, religious, as well as the general associations, making for barriers in the experiences of individuals. While there must be in the application in the present a definite stand taken, there is the ability - as was given in those teachings - to interpret for others that to condemn in another is but to build in self that which must be met in a mental and material manner.

12. Not in such a way as to CONDONE the activity of others when it might become questionable in the experiences of self, yet holding fast to that faith that was established in self in the experience to bring the greater love of thy fellow man as an activity throughout the present sojourn.

14. (Q) Where and in how many appearances have I known [[857]'s father]? (A) In many. In the Palestine association was there the greater or closer associations, for the entity then was the

cause of [him] (as called in the present) starting many of the questionings as to the activities of the entity, owing to the rebuffs the entity gave to the soldiery for those activities during that experience.

15. (Q) What were the relationships during the Galilean period? (A) What might be called friend and foe.

16. (Q) What is the cause of my suffering in the present so much from the association of this individual? (A) The same as caused in that experience the inability to hold to the ONE purpose.

17. (Q) What caused the change of this individual's attitude toward me? (A) Lack of stability in the individual.

18. (Q) When will the associations be terminated? (A) That depends upon the activity or the wills of each. Not that they should be severed with the disregard or hate or malice, or the fruits of the evil forces; but rather as with loving INDIFFERENCE.

19. (Q) Have my associations been helpful to this individual? (A) Helpful, as has been indicated.

20. (Q) Please give a plan of treatment to follow in dealing with this individual. (A) Where there may be aid given, give it. But BUSY thyself rather in other fields of activity, letting the indifference be as an act of service in other directions.

21. (Q) What was the relationship with Pontius Pilate? (A) A very close associate in the relationships of the household, and with the wife of same.

22. (Q) When will I obtain remunerative employment in an office? (A) Is this the BETTER manner? As we find, the going about or the meeting of individuals from place to place, while not as remunerative from the financial, would become - in the mental and really in the material sense - more and more the helpful experience for the entity in the present.

23. (Q) Please interpret the dream experienced by [540] and myself around the first week in May while seeking the same information. (A) These, as we find, are emblematical and as the emblems of those things experienced; which in the vision make for that portion of same that is helpful. These may be applied in the activities of the relationships in those things sought.

24. (Q) What was written on the papers which we were discussing in the dream? (A) The order for the detention that was in the Roman soldier's hand when the entity was detained.

25. (Q) Please give my seal and its interpretation. (A) Not exactly the holy mount or the pyramid should be in the center, but Mt. Horeb - which would rise as a triangle in the center but reaching the apex only from one side; and the rose on the cross on the side of same. The interpretation: The way through the Cross is the BEAUTY, even in the STRENGTH of the Mount and the BEAUTY as received through same.

26. (Q) In which incarnations and how have I been associated with [540]? (A) We would have to seek from other sources, or go back over all of these. We find an association in the Roman, of course, but this was rather as hearsay; for they only came together in the latter portion of the sojourn in the experience there. Let those things in thine inner self be not as gratifying of self or self's own urges for the purely material relationships, but rather let the spirit of brotherly love guide thee - with loving indifference to those things that would mar or hinder in any manner; either in regard to the moral, spiritual or religious forces. Hold fast to that as He gave thee, "Neither in this mount nor yet in this city or this hill, but RATHER in the hearts of men" as to their association with their fellow man be the activity that would prompt thee day by day.
