1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [617].
2. Now, as we find, there are definite conditions that disturb the better physical functioning of the body. These have not as yet been outlined or wholly considered by those administering the treatments for aiding the body. The effects rather than the causes have been considered the basis for much of that being administered. Portions of same, such as the electrical treatments, will aid; but with the injections, with other medications, as we find, unless the system can and does create that which is combative and that will build for resistances, this cannot make for permanent cures - but will make for permanent other conditions that will prevent the use of the body in its entirety to the measures that it should, or to that which would be normal for the body in its better condition.
3. These conditions specific are of subluxations in the lower lumbar and sacral area, and the effects of a very much disturbed digestive system - with the additions or the acidities that have arisen, and with other causes - have brought about much of that which produces the swelling, the unusual type of locomotory disorder that has disturbed and does disturb the body at times.
4. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [617] we are speaking of, ... & Company, ... Street, New York City, 524:
5. First, the BLOOD SUPPLY indicates the type of disorder that has been existent in the system as related to the acidity that has been produced and has been distributed throughout the system from a toxic force, and from an adhesion in the area of the gall duct. The condition existing in the present indicates that other toxins have been given to counteract toxic forces in the body, and these
617-1 Page 2
at times have been more detrimental than helpful.
6. As to the activities in the NERVE SYSTEM, these indicate where and how the subluxations in the areas indicated in the sacral and lumbar have affected and do affect the organs of locomotion in the lower portion of the body specifically, as in the limbs, as in the pelvic organs, as in the feet and ankles, as in the circulation through the VEIN circulation, and how that various portions of those veins and tendons have swollen at times; the soreness that is indicated in the muscular forces of the body from this, not only the direct cause but - as has been indicated - with the addition of those things that have been contributory, we have had - do have at times - most excruciating pains, when the body moves in its activities.
7. As to the ORGANS of the body itself: Brain forces are good. The active responses from all reflexes through the activity of the nerve forces, both in the sympathetic and cerebrospinal system, are normal from the brain force.
8. The sensory system at times shows sympathetic responses to the general disorder that has existed in the stomach and its attendant activities, and the pelvic and sacral areas.
9. As to the bronchi, lungs and larynx, the circulation through these, the inflammation at times through these, shows the attempt of the system to adjust itself not only to the body poisons but to those that have been administered in the forms of ministrations to create counter-irritation in various portions of the glands and activities of the system itself. THESE are indicated in the attempt of the respiratory system to share not only its portion in the elimination of poisons but to aid in distributing same to be as little destructive to the active forces of the body-force as possible.
10. Heart's action ABNORMAL, but more from ministrations, more from worry, more from those things of anxiety in the body-mind than from those other than ministrations made to the body at times. So, organically there is no disorder.
11. Digestive system, this is as we have found in portions of the body here as indicated in the liver and in those areas of the active force in body here, where the lesion has existed; which comes from the acidity and the tendency for the accumulations in the gall duct area, where those activities from without have produced the acidity for the system in the duodenum and throughout the jejunum.
12. As to the pelvic area, or in the lower lumbar and sacral, as we have given, there were first minor subluxations. Then with the acidity in the system, the accumulation from cold and congestion, the body acting as
617-1 Page 3
the accumulating forces to the glands in the lower portion has brought about this other disorder as indicated.
13. We find that which would make for the greater relief to the body, and that which would eliminate the disorders and build back for the system near normalcy, would be through not following all of those that have been given - either in the ministrations of the medicinal activity or the vibrations from the character of electrical forces that have been given. But we would outline, preferably, this:
14. First we would change considerably in the administration of the electrical forces. Instead of using those where the direct current has passed through the portions of the body, we would alter the currents between the sinusoidal direct to the area in the lacteal ducts - the first anode placed there; the next placed on the 9th dorsal center or plexus; and use the low but high frequency, so as to produce a pulsation through same as to DRAIN the portion of the body here - that is, this duct, the glands in the lacteals; and we will find this will be more helpful. This would be given about once each week.
15. The diathermy would be given once a week; and here we would place the active force on the ducts, the glands, and those portions more particularly in the area about the kidney.
16. Also, about twice each week, we would have the manipulations osteopathically that would CORRECT the subluxations in the sacral and lumbar area, BEFORE making such adjustments relaxing the body with hot water or hot applications.
17. Also we would take internally quantities of Atomidine, eight to ten drops twice each day.
18. We will find also that once a week, not oftener, the body should take an Epsom Salts bath; have almost a saturated solution of Epsom Salts as hot as the body can stand same. This would at first appear to be taking from the vitality of the body, but keep it up.
19. The Atomidine would be taken for periods of three days and then left off for an equal period; that is, take the Atomidine on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Then have the Epsom Salts bath; leaving off the Atomidine until the next Monday, taking it Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, then the Epsom bath again; and continue in the same ratio.
20. As we find, the diet should be changed to those things that will make for a PURIFYING of the blood stream, in that it will create energies; an outline being such as this:
21. Mornings - fruit juices, citrus fruit juices; or fresh fruit with cereal. The sweetening for same should be
617-1 Page 4
preferably honey. Do not use cereal AND citrus fruit juices at same meal.
22. Noons - only green, fresh, raw vegetables.
23. Evenings - principally the juices of vegetables, combining any of these, and the juices only. This means the vegetables cooked in such a manner that there is no seasoning until they are combined in a form to be taken for the body. We would alter this only by taking the juices of meats, and not meats at other periods; this about twice each week.
24. Do that.
25. Ready for questions.
26. (Q) Are orthopaedic shoes and arch supports of any great help to me? (A) They are supports and help in the present.
27. (Q) Is the treatment I am receiving for my extremities the proper treatment for me to take? Do I need corrective assistance to help this condition? (A) As we have indicated. Do that.
28. (Q) What doctor would you advise to superintend all these treatments? (A) Whoever she chooses!
29. (Q) Any other advice? (A) Do this, if we would bring the better conditions for this body, [617].
30. We are through for the present. Copy to Self (2 copies, 1 to be given to Mr. [257] or whomever chosen to study the case) " " Ass'n file (GD's notes: In case you do not wish to show the whole reading to a doctor, please see separate directions [which were enclosed] written out for: The electrical treatments Osteopathic treatments Atomidine and Baths To prepare the vegetable juices, and meat juices, we would suggest that you use Patapar paper, which may be obtained at most any department or ten cent store. In this way no water is required in cooking and you have the pure juices only.)
