Time of Reading 3:45 to 3:55 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Mich. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [619].
2. There are changes in conditions as disturb the body, since last we had same here. Some are very good. Some are not so well.
3. The acute conditions as arise from the cold, the congestion, the nervous strain and anxiety upon the body, are not so well.
4. As we find there should be the setting up of the eliminations first, with preferably a vegetable compound - as those properties that may be had in Simmons Liver Regulator; and then the alkalinizing of the alimentary canal at the same time - as well as the whole system.
5. These as we find would be the better conditions in the present.
6. In those areas where there is some congestion, and where the tendencies for pressures are indicated, in the lumbar and the ileum, or ileac plexus, we find that these may be best adjusted with the application of Wet Heat before such adjustments are made.
7. Also we find that after such adjustments the Sun Ray or Light, with a little oil rubbed over those portions of the body - in between the applications or as the applications are made - would be the more helpful. An equal combination of Olive Oil and Tincture of Myrrh Would be most beneficial. The Oil is penetrating and at the same time relaxing, while the Myrrh will be healing and allow the muscular forces to relax the greater - with the combination.
8. These we would have at least twice a week for two to three weeks, rest from same a week and then again make adjustments and the applications.
9. But be careful as respecting the cold, especially as related to the heart's activity and the circulation - and the cough that arises from a sympathetic reaction as well as a tendency for a filling in the throat.
10. When the other treatments are given, a relaxation

osteopathically in the upper dorsal and through the cervical area, then, will be helpful.
11. As an expectorant and as an allaying for the cough, we find that this combination of properties will be helpful for the body - but this should not be for EVERY body, but for THIS body in this PARTICULAR disturbance!
12. To 2 ounces of Strained Honey we would add 4 ounces of Distilled Water. Let this come to a boil, as a carrier. Skim off the refuse or dross, set aside to cool, and then add - to preserve and cut and work with the solutions also - an ounce and a half of Grain Alcohol (1 1/2 ounces). This should be added first, before any of the syrups are added that we will give here. Add these then IN THE ORDER NAMED: Syrup of Horehound............1 ounce, Syrup of Rhubarb............1/2 ounce, Glycerine....................20 minims, Chloroform...................10 minims.
13. Shake the solution well before taking. The dose would be (not guessed at by sipping from the bottle, but by spoon!) a teaspoonful whenever there is a tendency for the cough of evening, or any irritation - which may be every hour if necessary, or less.
14. These as we find will be the more helpful for the body in the present.
15. Ready for questions.
16. (Q) What should be used to alkalinize the system, with the Simmons Liver Regulator? (A) The diet.
17. (Q) How long should the Light be applied after treatments? (A) This must depend upon the manipulator and the character of the light used. The Sun Light as we find would be the better, though of course there may be used the violet ray or Ultra-Violet Ray. The Ultra-Violet Ray should not be used longer than a minute or minute and a half, while the Sun Ray may be used ten to twelve minutes or something like that. It depends upon the distance from the body and the strength of the light. This should be governed by the manipulator.
18. (Q) Is the condition as described in Dr. Frank Dobbins' letter (a copy of which I hold in my hand) correct? (A) As indicated, there is a disturbance in the ileac plexus; but as we find it is not as serious as has been indicated in the letter. However, it may become so unless corrections are made. Apply Wet Heat. This may be done by using wet towels very hot over those portions before adjustments are made.

Then after the adjustments use the oil rub and then the Light following same. Twice a week for two to three weeks, then rest a week, and then again.
