1. EC: We have the body, [623]; this we have had before.
2. Now, as we find, there are considerable changes in the general physical forces of the body. While many of these show improvements, there are still those conditions which cause throughout the alimentary canal, and especially in portions of the colon area, the disturbing effects. While these have been greatly relieved in some respects, there are still those reactions in the organs of the body that cause or produce a great deal of the strain and the tendencies for the fermentation of those things taken into the system, where the digestive forces of (or juices of) the pancreas, spleen and from the gall ducts do not assimilate in the duodenum; producing then an acidity there that sets up the inflammation that causes the portions in the jejunum and more specifically in the colon to continue to be in the positions that produce nausea, headaches, heaviness, bearing down pains in the organs of the pelvis; producing pressure at times even on the bladder, and making for shortness of breath through the pressure on the diaphragm area.
3. All of these, as we see, are effects.
4. We would find in the present that these applications would remove this condition entirely, and give to the system the PROPER reactions by balancing in the body the necessary forces that will not only cleanse but make for better physical conditions in this body, [623].
5. First we would begin - preferably in the evenings, or just before or after retiring - with the use of Castor Oil packs for at least three to four hours each evening over the liver, the area from even the LEFT side of the abdomen, above the hip to the caecum and the area in the right side and over the liver area. Apply at least three to four thicknesses of flannel well oiled, directly to the body. Keep these up for at least three days, before we would then

begin taking medicinal properties as follows:
6. For a whole day, just after each meal take internally a quarter teaspoonful of AL-CAROID.
7. That evening take at least two CAROID Bile Salts tablets.
8. Then two days later begin with the Castor Oil packs again, and continue for at least nine days. See?
9. On the second or third day of the last series of packs, begin taking once each day a teaspoonful of Milk of Bismuth in which there would be put six to ten drops of Essence of Lactated Pepsin - and two glasses of water, see? Keep THIS up for nine days.
10. After the twelfth or thirteenth day from beginning the above outlined treatments, we would take an enema. But be sure that in the two and a half gallons of water that would be used during the whole enema there would be put a level teapoonful of common table salt and a heaping teaspoonful of baking soda. In the last water for antiseptic injection put two tablespoonsful of Glyco-Thymoline to two quarts of the lukewarm water. This will prevent irritation and cleanse the mucous and the refuse forces that are loosened by the application of the oil packs and the absorption of the properties taken within the system through the Milk of Bismuth.
11. Be mindful of the diets, that during these whole periods there would be rather the liquid and semi-liquid diet; so that we may cleanse the whole system.
12. And we wouldn't use the water around the body's present environs; too much of the lime in same! We would use rather that which has been intimated to use heretofore.
13. Do these, and we will find we will bring near normal conditions to this body.
14. Ready for questions.
15. (Q) What causes the soreness in my left waistline and under the ribs? (A) The pressure in the colon area.
