R E A D I N G

Time of Reading 12:00 to 12:10 Noon - Eastern Standard Time. Detroit, Mich. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [633].

2. As we find, while there are some specific disturbances that at times cause strains and anxieties, in most respects conditions are much better than that as we have had at times here before.

3. From the strains in the lower dorsal and through the lumbar and sacral area, we find that specific adjustments need to be made osteopathically; that is:

4. Coordinate the segments in the cervical and upper dorsal, FIRST. Then begin with the 4th lumbar, or the lumbar axis; coordinate that with the upper dorsal and the cervical area.

5. Then coordinate the 9th dorsal with the sacral and lumbars. And then raise the coccyx end.

6. DO NOT, while these treatments are being given, overexercise self in severe or straining activities that require turning, twisting - as in tennis or hand ball. However, exercises such as walking, even as upon the trapeze or the like, would be very well for the body.

7. A sitz bath would be well occasionally, when the general rubdown would be given - or at the same period when Cabinet Sweats and the general Swedish massage would be given. Once or twice a month should be sufficient, but these will aid in making for greater improvement through the lower portions of the locomotions, and the locomotion activities.

8. As for those conditions in the cervical, the vagus centers, and those to the eyes themselves: We find that the use of the short-wave electrical vibrations [See correspondence in re this short-wave machine under 470-20 which was obtained the day before 633-10.] would be the more beneficial. This as we find, as might be used from the reverse coil of the sinusoidal, or the direct use with the static electrical vibrations. These would be the more beneficial for the body.

10. Don't become so overanxious as to rely upon either the

mechanical adjustments or the general reactionary forces from specific exercises; but be rather the master of self in the determining to keep fit. But keep fit for a PURPOSE!

11. And we will find conditions will be much better.

13. (Q) Any change in diet? (A) The diet as we find is very well. Don't overstep too often with quantities of sweets.

14. (Q) What causes grating at knee and hip bone of left leg, and what can be done for same? (A) The very conditions that have been indicated here, that would be relieved by sitz baths and the rubs when the hydrotherapy or the massage would be taken; that is: The conditions in the lumbar and sacral that tend to pull on the locomotory centers. Hence as a specific, as has been indicated, the RAISING of the coccyx end of the spine, with the coordination of the cerebrospinal centers. The tendency there is to press upon the locomotories, or those areas along the lower limbs. Do as has been given, and we will find the better conditions for this body.
