Time of Reading 3:45 to 4:05 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Geneva, Ill. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [643].
2. Now, as we find, there are conditions that are detrimental to the better physical functioning of the body. These conditions, as we find, are of a nature that has gradually been builded through the lack of elements in the system, or the ability of the system to produce those things necessary through the lack of elements that produce the proper eliminations and activities in the glands; until we have that condition of some tissue, some portions in the body, becoming granular in nature, separating themselves and producing cysts in the body.
3. These, as we find, are NOT of a malignant nature; yet, if the conditions were allowed to remain or if there were to become bruised tissue or inflammation in the system, they MIGHT become of a malignant nature. For in a portion of the pyloric end of the stomach there is an indication of the forming of hardened conditions in the tissue, first from lacerations - but the warriors, with the ability for coagulation to be formed sufficient, have encased same. We see the same in one of the sphincter muscles in the lower portion of the body, that has formed something of the same nature.
4. Then, these are those things that disturb the body:
5. There are elements lacking in the blood supply. There are glands not secreting properly. There is a deficiency in the white AND red blood; a disturbance in metabolism and a general condition where there is lack of the urea or lymph to be sufficient in the system - for the system and organs have been drawing upon the lymph and upon the blood supply to prevent inroads, or to create a balance.
6. As we find, then, these would be the applications in the present that would aid in making for a balance in the physical forces of the body; and these, as we find, should combine with two specific activities for the body.
643-1 Page 2
7. First we would take internally each day an eighth grain of the Animated Ash. On each third day take a quarter grain, and ten minutes after this is taken use the ULTRA-violet ray for at least two and one-half minutes - over the area of the lower lung and the stomach, or from the central portion - the 9th dorsal area, which will extend from the brachial or the lower cervical area to the lower dorsal and sacral area - for two and a half to three minutes, at least thirty-eight to forty inches from the body.
8. The eighth grain would be taken each day, you see; but each third day the ultra-violet ray would be given following the taking of a quarter grain - ten minutes afterwards.
9. We would also prepare a compound to be taken internally to work with the blood supply, and to create an activity with the glands and the assimilating system as to alleviate the conditions; so that not only may there be the overcoming by the releasing of oxygen for the blood supply through the Ash and the electrical forces in same - that give a surcharge, as it were, to the red blood cells themselves - but that the eliminations and assimilations and activity of glands - through this compound of properties - may aid in creating the CORRECT balance for the body. It would be prepared, then, as follows:
10. To 32 ounces of DISTILLED water, we would add (each ingredient to be CRUSHED before adding, but added in the order named): Wild Cherry Bark................2 ounces, Sarsaparilla Root...............1 ounce, Wild Ginseng....................1 ounce, Indian Turnip.................1/2 ounce, Yellow Dock Root................1 ounce, Buchu Leaves....................1 dram, Mandrake Root..................15 grains. Reduce this by slow boiling to 16 ounces. Strain while warm and add (while still warm) 3 ounces of grain alcohol with 1 dram Balsam of Tolu cut in same. Shake the solution well together before the dose is taken, which would be a teaspoonful 4 times each day - before the meals and before retiring.
11. After this has been followed closely for at least until the whole first quantity of the tonic or compound has been taken, then we would give those changes necessary.
12. In the diet, beware of very much meat; and NO fried meat; or fried food of ANY kind. Rather eat those foods
643-1 Page 3
that are blood and nerve building. Drink plenty of water at all times. Beware of alcoholic stimulants; too much tea or coffee. The character of milks taken would be varied; not that carrying too much curd nor yet too much of any of those properties that produce too great a quantity of activity in the intestinal tract. Here we find that the tablets as of honeycomb with milk would be well, as prepared by the Kellogg Institute - in that termed Yogurt, but the FORMER and not the latter preparation is much better, you see - in the tablets. These would be taken about one or two a day.
13. Keep a special activity in the eliminations, either by the use of the Nujols or Usoline (preferably the latter), or enemas.
14. And these, as we find, will make for better conditions, and we will eliminate and change these whole conditions in this body.
15. Be patient, but be persistent. This has been a long time building in the system, and the applications are for basic activities in the system as related to the blood supply, the eliminations and the assimilations, and the especial activity of the glands that have NOT secreted properly.
16. For each of these ingredients in the compound has a special function to perform.
17. The Wild Cherry Bark is an expectorant and a purifier, as combined especially with the other ingredients for the blood supply.
18. The Sarsaparilla Root is an emit, or a STRENGTHENER to the activities of the secretions in the stomach and INTESTINAL tract.
19. The Wild Ginseng will act directly with these combinations to the activities of the glands of the system; the genitive glands, the lacteal ducts, the lachrymal ducts, the adrenals, the thyroid, all will - with these combinations - make for an activity that is purifying and body-building.
20. The Yellow Dock Root is an emit and blood purifier, an active principle with the secretions of the liver;
21. As is also the Mandrake Root, and it - with the Buchu - is specifically active with the hepatic circulation. Mandrake, of course, is of the Podophyllum activity, or another name for the same, and is productive towards the increased secretions through the alimentary canal;
22. While the Buchu cleanses the kidneys from any of these poisons in such a manner as to make for bettered conditions.
23. The alcohol with the tolu; the one is a preservative, the other an active principle to make the whole compound

more palatable - and yet specific in its activity.
24. Do this, then, for the whole quantity; then we would give further instructions.
25. Ready for questions.
26. We are through with this reading. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (GD's note: See enclosed copy of letter explaining the Ash - made by F. F. and B. H. Bradley, 5443 Maryland Ave., Chicago, Ill. Empty powdered Ash onto tongue and wash down with water. Do not take Ash in capsule. See enclosed letter to your druggist. See enclosed letter with directions for ultra-violet treatments, whether given by Kapple [W. Lee Kapple, N.D.] or whoever chosen. The Yogurt may be obtained in tablet form from the Battle Creek Sanatorium, Battle Creek, Michigan or from their regular Battle Creek Food dispensaries.)
