Time of Reading 3:30 to 3:55 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here [648].
2. Now, as we find, while many conditions are very good in the physical forces of this body, there are disturbances in portions of the system that with correction would make for a better physical functioning. These have to do with the glands of the body as related to their coordination with the functioning of the organs and of the assimilating system.
3. These, then, as we find, are the conditions in this body, [648] we are speaking of, present in this room:
4. First, in the BLOOD SUPPLY, we find there are not at all times the proper eliminations from the used energies in portions of the system; lacking in sufficient quantity of the impulses that should be carried on by the activity of glands that secrete for the activities through the intestinal system - those as related to the activities through the hepatic circulation. Hence we have congestion of the used energies that make for the throwing back into the blood, thus producing the effluvia in the blood supply that takes from that which makes for the proper quantity of elements that combine with the white and red blood supply. Hence we find there are periods when the energies and vitality of the body (these are the characteristics, or the effects from this condition in the system, or the signs) are easily used up; a tendency for accumulations in the sensory system as to defer the activity at times of the sensory organs; filling in throat, in the nasal passages, in the soft tissue, and producing in the caecum and the activities of those portions of the body the lack of proper circulation. The tiredness and the inactivity, incoordination of the functioning of the organs through the pelvis, all arise from this lack of proper secretions from the glands that make for the proper circulation in this direction.
648-1 Page 2
5. The effect created from these conditions in the NERVOUS SYSTEM is a heaviness across the lower portion of the cerebrospinal system; a heaviness at times between the shoulders, and a fullness in the muscular forces in the face. These are effects in the nervous system through sympathetic reactions from pressures created on ganglia in the cerebrospinal system.
6. As to the functioning of the ORGANS themselves:
7. Brain forces are very good. The responses to the nerves' reaction, as indicated by a sympathetic reaction in the body, are very good.
8. The sensory organs and their activity are under an influence, as indicated by a subjugation of the activity in the circulation in the portions of the body, and from the glands in the lacteal and the adrenal; these are the basis of those reactions.
9. Lungs, bronchi and larynx - in a circulation that is already overcharged with conditions that act to portions of the system, especially that involve the lymph in the creating for the white and red blood cells, these AFFECT the bronchi and lung area, ONLY sympathetically.
10. Heart's action near normal.
11. The digestive area, or through the stomach itself, not in its proper position; hence has been as a contributory cause to the lack of the secretions to produce in the active forces of the glands through the lacteals and adrenals for the pressures. Or, as we would find from an OSTEOPATHIC standpoint, in the 3rd, 4th and 5th dorsal area there is a lateral lesion that has been of some duration, which shows for the tilting and the position of the stomach itself that has allowed at times the tendencies for the disturbances to those glands in the system, by the lack of proper digestion that should have been carried on.
12. The pancreas, spleen and liver activity are only disturbed when there is allowed an excess of the subluxation activity in the segregation of the forces from the secretions in the pancreas and the gall ducts to supply the necessary activity to the digestive forces of the system. Then we have in the liver area a granular effect in a lobe of same, but this is sympathetic only in the present.
13. As to the activity through the digestive system and the organs of the pelvis, we have through these activities a suppression in those functionings in the eliminations at times through these channels; but with the proper position of the stomach as an organ, with the stimulation of the activities of the glands to these portions of the body, as we find, this should relieve those conditions that have
648-1 Page 3
distressed the body-physical in these directions, and bring about a near normal condition for this body, [648] we are speaking of, present in this room.
14. Then, in meeting the needs of the conditions as we find, we would have a specific character of exercise taken by self for the period sufficient to make a change in the position of the organs of the torso of the body. Then we would have sufficient of the adjustments to reduce the congestion in the upper dorsal area, coordinating the cervical and lumbar with same at such times. And with keeping the body in a reaction that will be building in the digestive area through the diet, there should be brought a normal condition for this body.
15. So, for a period of fifteen to sixteen days, there should be - morning and evening - the exercise from the diaphragm area up, that tends to stretch the body with the activity of the torso towards an UPWARD position. This would be the bending, circling motion of the body, for five, ten, fifteen minutes twice each day; not too much at first.
16. Then, after this stretching for such a period as indicated, we would have the adjustments osteopathically in the area indicated.
17. And the diet should be kept near to an alkalinity for the body.
18. When the body has taken the stretching (this is bending forward, with the circular motion of the body), we would use the support for the stomach itself. But after there have been the stimulations through the osteopathic treatments, this should NOT be necessary.
19. Ready for questions.
20. (Q) Do I understand the osteopathic adjustments are not to be begun until after the fifteenth or sixteenth day of the exercise? (A) These would not be as effective, neither would they be as corrective, until after such a period.
21. (Q) What is the cause of the ulcers in the mouth? (A) The regurgitation and the hydrochloric effect in the stomach itself, as indicated by the position, which makes for - through the circulation - the carrying of this to this portion of the system. They will disappear even before the adjustments are begun, with the exercises!
22. (Q) How about my thyroid glands? (A) Where there has been for some period of time an activity of excess hydrochloric effect in a stomach in this position (tipped), we find that the reactions to the thyroid are to DRAW ON same, see? As indicated, the lacteals (these are the ducts and glands about same), the adrenals (which
648-1 Page 4
are, of course, above the kidneys), are disturbed. This makes for the natural drawing ON all gland secretions for the system. With the correction of those disturbing factors that have CAUSED CONDITIONS, these will be overcome! The natural condition in the food values will be to make for an alkalin condition, in opposition for the excess acid, to produce the activities or secretions by the action of that assimilated for the system; and these would be corrected.
23. (Q) What is the cause of the trouble I have at times with the right leg? (A) This is from the pressures produced in the caecum area, by the poisons or accumulations. Hence the position of the muscular forces produces a neuritic condition, though it is not TRUE neuritis; for it arises more from those in the right area near the lacteal ducts, and there is pain at times felt just below this, see? This is usually just before the stiffness or the pain in the right limb.
24. (Q) What would you suggest doing for ulcers which have been in my mouth now for some time? (A) The use of Ipsab as a wash, as a rinse for same, will tend to make for the better activity of the salivary glands and the secretions for the mouth. Massage gently with the finger on same, you see; then rinse the mouth with same, following that with a general rinse with water. Do these things and, as we find, we will bring the normal conditions of this body.
25. (Q) Should the Ipsab be used full strength? (A) Used full strength.
26. (Q) Any special advice that would be of benefit? (A) Keep the mental attitudes in that way of ever being constructive influences in the mental and material things. Be more OPTOMISTIC about the closer relationships with the body.
27. We are through for the present. [See 648-1, Par. R1.] Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (Letter was enclosed to Osteopath. Letter was also enclosed with Alkalin Diet List.)
