1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of Mrs. [658], present in this room, seeking information as her hair tonic preparation. You will answer the questions she will ask regarding same.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, Mrs. [658], present in this room; also that information that has been given as respecting the hair tonic.
3. As we find, we have now the ingredients that, properly combined, will make the perfect, or NEAR perfect, hair tonic.
4. We would prepare, as WE find, in this manner, and in this ratio:
5. First take one quart (or an even proportion for same, see?) of acid #1. To this add the sage extract, whose hydrometer test would be ten, one quart and one-half pint - see? Then we would shake this well together. Then add Acid #2 one-half pint, see? Then add that of the rum one quart and one pint and one half pint, see? This whole quantity, then, makes one gallon. It's ready for use.
6. (Q) Any other advice regarding the preparation? (A) As has been given, we would first prepare the preparation, testing or using same under various conditions, with various characters and conditions of scalp, or conditions of hair or scalp produced by various conditions. These we would test on at least three to five DIFFERENT CHARACTERS of hair, head, or hair disorders. This we find will be found, as has been given, a stimulator for the scalp, a restorer for the disorders coming from falling hair, early change or discoloration in hair, and an excellent aid to the GROWTH of hair on head - see? This used properly, and prepared properly, should be a most excellent tonic, a most excellent use for the hair - as well as a good money maker!
7. (Q) Prepared in this way, how often could or should same be used on the hair?
658-6 Page 2
(A) That will depend upon the cause, the character of the conditions, and how NECESSARY - or the color necessary to be restored, as it stimulates the growth, or the hair bulbs themselves - but once to three times a week would be plenty.
8. (Q) Would this be complete as the preparation made now, or as just been given? (A) This would be a complete preparation, made as just been given. Be sure we have the strength of the sage proper, see? Then we will have no trouble with the combining, or with their use, or their preservative.
9. (Q) How much sage to the gallon - tea? (A) The quantity has been given - make it so that the TEST of same would be made. This will be found to be changed. Hence this is given as to the test STRENGTH of same, see, so that it may be ALWAYS just the same, whether there is a small quantity and it is reduced lower or re-distilled, or whether this is grown where less sap - or gathered at a period when less sap is in same, or what - see? Made in this test, it will always be the same strength.
10. (Q) How should I proceed, or what should I do, to get the money to finance this project? Please give advice regarding this. (A) When this is perfected, and the conditions as surround same that is, the preparations to market same - the register - the labels, the booklets, etc., then it may be formed into a company, and portions of the stock issued - but do not give away the formula! portions of the stock may be given for the sufficient capital to market same.
11. (Q) Regarding the shampoo, would the gemsen (?) weed [Jimson-weed] be a good weed for the soap that would be used? (A) No. As we find, the regular soap weed, or that KNOWN as soap weed, rather than bark, would be the better. It is known as saga sagosia (?) [soapwort - Saponaria... etc?] and this combined with the oils - (let's get the other first) - but this combined with some workings, as has been given, will make for a good shampoo to work with same.
12. (Q) Olive oil? (A) Olive oil. Do not have too much of the olive oil, or too much of the coconut oil, or too much of ANY of the oils - but sufficient that they give their LUSTRE in their proper relationships.
13. (Q) What proportion should I begin? (A) First let's find the soapweed, and then we will prepare this and then we will add the other various properties - the potato, or the soap, and the various properties, as have been given.
14. (Q) Any other advice for this body at this time?
658-6 Page 3
(A) We would do these, and we will find the preparations for the tonic will work MOST satisfactory. Keep the properties well - be sure that the tests are made under various temperatures, under various conditions as to atmospheric conditions, so that these as claims, or as suggestions, may be made in the data, or matter, as given with the use of same.
