Time of Reading 10:50 to 11:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., New York. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [660].
2. Now, as we find, there are specific conditions that disturb the physical functioning of the body. The reactions or the effects of these are often easily mistaken for the causes; while with the correction of these specific conditions, as we find, it will be necessary to consider the effects and make applications that will bring about a normal balance during these periods of adjustments for the basical disorders.
3. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [660] we are speaking of:
4. The BLOOD SUPPLY indicates a disturbance in the eliminations, and an incoordination between the centers in the cerebrospinal system that deal with the coordinating of the sympathetic system with the cerebrospinal as related to the activities in the particular area that show for the disturbance. That is, the plethora in the colon itself - that makes for the backing up of the gastric flows to the liver, spleen, pancreas activity, thus causing much that should be eliminated through the alimentary canal to be thrown off in the circulation - that produces in various portions of the body the tendency for the respiratory and the sweat system, or the perspiratory system, to throw off poisons that should be carried off through the alimentary canal. These in a manner, as we find, have produced what may be at times termed an acne or eczema condition - a disturbance of the bulbous glands in and under the epidermis, that produce the splotches and abrasions on portions of the body, especially in the exposed portions - as face and neck and arms and hands at times. Yet we find these show in the circulation in the other extremities, or on the feet at times also, but in a different form there - being more water blisters at times. This is an affectation, then, to the circulatory system, but the basis or cause of
660-1 Page 2
the condition, as we find, is in other portions of the system; but, as indicated, there should be consistency in the activity towards the effects as well as the causes to be removed.
5. In the NERVOUS SYSTEM we find subluxations and tendencies that have produced a contributory cause to the condition, or the first cause that brought about this first producing of a tendency towards constipation in the upper portion of the bowel, through the subluxation in the 7th and 8th dorsal area specific. Then, as this condition has produced a drying sympathetically, and through the nerves' reaction to the body a condition in the ascending colon of an engorgement there. These were or are the basis of conditions, though the food values or the diets have also at times contributed to the conditions. These make for effects that the body easily tires; the effect to the hips, the lower portion of the spine, in the liver area or in the KIDNEY and liver area - through the hepatic circulation, from the disturbance, makes for those tendencies of the muscular forces to become taut, tendencies for the feeling as of lumbago - or congestions, as a form of neuritis in the hips and lower limbs. All of these are effects, yet must be considered in the applications that may be aided in helping or being helpful to the body.
6. As we find in the functioning of the ORGANS themselves, the sensory system is becoming involved in these disorders from the rash; for these affect sympathetically the flow of lymph to the head and neck, to the face; the eyes at times are weak, blurry; the hearing at times is affected by roaring in the head, filling considerably - or finding considerable amount of wax at times accumulates or forms in the chambers of the ear itself. All of these are sympathetic conditions.
7. The bronchials, lungs, larynx, show very good activity; though, to be sure, from the character of the circulation as disturbed through the body we find these affected at times sympathetically.
8. Heart's action near normal, though under stress the pulsations run high.
9. The activities of the digestive system, naturally, from the disturbances, these produce a great deal of disorder in this direction, and it makes for the tendency of poor assimilation; thus the body tends to lose weight rather than to gain, though there are periods when this is near normal.
10. These are rather sympathetic, as indicated, in the activity of the liver and the coordination with same with the lower hepatic circulation.

11. The specific conditions, then, as we find, are in the ascending colon, that need a care and attention.
12. First we would begin in this manner:
13. We would take at least in the first week two high enemas or colonic irrigations; one taken, we will say, on Tuesday and the other on Friday or Saturday of the first week. Then we would skip a week, and in the next week take only one. These should be followed by an intestinal antiseptic, that may be taken with the enema and internally also, which - the most beneficial specifically for this body - would be Glyco-Thymoline. To the last half a gallon of water in the enema, use at least two tablespoonsful of Glyco-Thymoline. Take internally from three to four drops in water about twice a day, after the breakfast and before retiring in the evening.
14. We would have osteopathic manipulations to make adjustments in the 7th and 8th dorsal area specifically, coordinating the activities of the lumbar and the brachial plexus with the rest of the system; specifically active, of course, in the manipulations and adjustments through the whole of the cervical area.
15. Also we would take internally LeNoir's Eczema Remedy, made by Cawthon-Coleman Drug Company, Selma, Alabama. [GD's note: Cawthon-Coleman Drug Co., was the first place I worked for a few weeks after getting out of business school. Edgar Cayce's studio was upstairs.] This is a compound carrying properties that will aid in clarifying the skin and aid in the digestion. Take as directed.
16. In the matter of the diet, be very mindful that the foods are kept more in an alkalin reacting nature. These we find would be, then, not too much meats nor too much sweets nor too much starches, but as the system or the appetites call for these take them - as the appetite calls, rather than as the demands for balancing same. For, as the eliminations are increased by the use of the enemas and the activity of the varied properties found in the eczema remedy compound upon the digestive area, there will be the demand for specific conditions. If the system requires meat, not too much of it - but let that meal be of meat. Let the vegetable diet be well balanced throughout. But eat as the demands are, just not too great a quantity. Be a little bit hungry when you get through eating; the digestion will work better, the conditions will be much better.
17. Throughout the applications or the treatments we would have at least three to four of the high enemas.
18. We would take sixteen osteopathic treatments and adjustments, but let them cover a period of at least two
660-1 Page 4
months; that is, we would have a period of say - two weeks with four treatments during those two weeks. Then skip a week, and then the two treatments the next, see? This would be eight. Then we would have the next following after another week of rest, you see.
19. Do these, and we will bring for this body, [660], normal conditions.
20. Ready for questions.
21. (Q) Why does the least bit of lifting give him a sprained ligament? (A) It isn't a sprained ligament! It is a nerve pressure from the plethora in the ascending colon, that produces pressure on the portions of the ligaments themselves. The lack of eliminations, or a pressure on the nerve system in the ligaments. Do these, and we will overcome these conditions.
22. We are through for the present. Copy to Mrs. [607] " " Ass'n file (See letter [which was enclosed] to Osteopath - also Alkalin Reacting diet list. I suppose the directions for the enemas and the taking of the Glyco-Thymoline are clear. If not, advise. GD.)
