Time of Reading 3:20 to 3:45 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., New York. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [668], present in this room.
2. Now, as we find, there are conditions that disturb the better physical functionings of the body, and these - as we find - may be corrected in such ways and manners as to bring about much bettered conditions for the body. These have to do with specific conditions; in others there are the reactions of disturbances that have existed in the system.
3. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [668] we are speaking of, present in this room:
4. The BLOOD SUPPLY we find is very good in most ways and manners; a near normal pressure, and the elements IN the blood stream show for disturbances in assimilation at times, yet the activities of the glands that separate that assimilated for the creative forces make for a katabolism and metabolism that is very good considering other disturbances.
5. In the NERVE SYSTEM we find some disorders. These conditions, though, are rather the EFFECTS of disorders than producing the disorders, as is generally found; while there are centers that make for the supplying of the impulses in portions of the system that have become taut, and in a manner there has formed lateral lesions. These, as we find, are specific in those ganglia where there is the supply to the energies to the organs of the sensory system, and the coordinating in those plexus centers with the sympathetic system. Hence we find reactions here at times that cause or make for conditions that produce irritations; thus making for the upsetting of the system in their reactions. These ganglia also show for the disturbances in the digestive area, that at times have made for an upsetting of the digestive area - AFFECTING, however, rather the functions of the organs and their secretions than the glands that
668-1 Page 2
secrete.
6. As to the ORGANS themselves:
7. Brain forces are very good.
8. In the organs of the sensory system we find some of the specific conditions. There has been in times back a weakening through the attack of some bacilli upon the mucous membranes of the head, that WEAKENED the activities especially to the Eustachian tubes. Hence we find as a specific condition that in the one we have, toward the FRONT, a fallen Eustachian tube; and in the other we find, in the MIDDLE portion, an adhesion. This, then, makes for a diffusion at times of the reaction for hearing, and with certain conditions we find the hearing shows BETTER than in others. When there is a vibration to the body, or electrical forces vibrating ABOUT the body, we will find the body will hear BETTER in one ear - and while attempting to listen on a phone hears better in the other ear. This, as we find, may be corrected to produce at least fifty to seventy-five percent BETTER than in the present conditions.
9. As to the effects that the activities of the disturbances here have brought about; there are the lesions in the cerebrospinal connecting with the sympathetic system, in the 3rd and 4th cervical area and in the 2nd and 3rd dorsal area, for these are the direct and the sympathetic plexus where the head, neck and especially the auditory forces receive the sympathetic and secondary reflexes from the blood supply - the conditions for the flow of the lymph AND blood flow to these portions of the system.
10. In the nasal cavity, nasal passage, we find disturbances rather of a sympathetic nature. It is more from the effect of nerve ends, through scar tissue that has existed - being or making for irritation there at times.
11. With the correction of those flows of the blood supply to the sympathetic and the auditory forces, and the breaking up of those adhesions in the Eustachian area, we will find this will make for a much better and more even flow of lymph and blood supply throughout these passages. And the throat condition also will be removed, that makes for a tendency (through cold or sudden changes) to produce a tickling sensation.
12. In the bronchi, lungs, larynx - we find the lung area good; while in the bronchi and larynx there are sympathetic reactions at times, though these are only from the interference with the blood supply from the plexus as indicated.
13. The heart's action, as given, is near normal in pulsation, in pressure.
668-1 Page 3
14. In the digestive area we find there have been disturbances, for there are tendencies from old conditions for the thickening of tissue in portions of the wall of the stomach, particularly in the pyloric end of same. This makes for an upsetting of the digestive system at times, with peculiar odors or conditions that make for an irritation through the creating of a flow of the hydrochloric fluids from the duodenum TO those gastric forces of the stomach itself. Hence we have a tendency towards the creating of acids in the system. As acids make for easy congestion either from cold or from the effects that are created by cold, there are periods when constipation is produced through the alimentary canal - or the LACK of the flow of the lymph to carry on the proper peristaltic movement through those actions of the ascending colon. With these reflex conditions we have disturbances at times to the gall duct area. Not as a congestion there, but rather as the tendency towards a sedimentary condition; producing in the lobe of the liver (on the left) an OVERFLOW or lack of secretions, dependent upon the amount of the acid that HAS been accumulated in the duodenum.
15. As to the activity of the hepatic circulation (that between the liver and the kidneys), at times there is produced areas of a scant reaction through the kidney eliminations; thus producing a tendency towards periods when stiffness or soreness in some of the muscular forces arises from an activity of the tendons and muscular forces. Not that it HAS as yet reached those proportions where there is the effect of the acids from same, but these tendencies - and especially so when there has been the lack of the eliminations through the alimentary canal.
16. Then, in meeting the needs of these conditions, as we would find:
17. First we would have the lesions and adhesions in the Eustachian area broken up; and the lesions of the nature in the cerebrospinal system relaxed, so that the blood supply may flow more normally - and with these changes bringing to the body a much BETTER reaction through the sympathetic system, aiding the activity of the auditory forces of the system, improving the hearing in same. We will find with these corrections, as indicated, also the sympathetic reaction through the head, through the activities to the eyes, to the nose, and all the flow of the lymph through same, much improved - the soreness that at times occurs in the antrum area being removed through these conditions.
18. As to the activity to the digestive area, the low form of electrical vibration that would come from the wet cell

battery, making a direct current through the plexus where assimilation is made, and the secondary cardiac plexus - that would be the attachments to the anodes that would carry the impulse THROUGH same, this being preferable to the high voltage. This will improve the general conditions. Because after the first three or four applications of this it tends to produce nausea, do not desist but cut the time in the application of same.
19. In the first activity we would attach the plain anode, or that from the copper plate (small), to the 6th and 7th - or between the 6th and 7th plexus on the cerebrospinal system. The one from the nickel plate (somewhat larger, and this would be the anode of the secondary activity - or the negative pole) would be attached over the plexus in the LYMPH producing plexus, or about two fingers' space from the umbilicii plexus to the right side, you see, over the ducts of the lacteal duct area.
20. This would be first used for not over fifteen minutes, and use it this way for at least five to ten days. Then it may be increased to twenty to twenty-five minutes; NEVER more than thirty minutes at one period.
21. We would use this each day.
22. The corrections in the cerebrospinal system and the Eustachian tubes would be BEST through the osteopathic adjustment and osteopathic surgery for the Eustachian tubes, or finger surgery; which would be not more than two operations to clear up same but requiring some three or four weeks in the first treatment after the first breaking up, then a rest period of five to six weeks, then the second operation and two to three weeks treatments - which would be three times each week - after the second breaking up.
23. Ready for questions.
24. (Q) Was there a condition of gravel in the bladder some years back? Does this condition still exist? (A) This RATHER that of sediment, as indicated, than of gravel; producing a heavy sediment, as was shown by the test when testing same; forming in that of a red color. This does not produce as great an irritation in the present, but with the use of the low electrical forces as indicated - which will stimulate the activity and the nerve forces of the hepatic circulation - there should be increased somewhat the flow through the kidney and bladder activity and CLEAR the condition from the system.
25. (Q) What osteopath in New York would you suggest to give the treatments, or near surroundings? (A) One that is familiar with this class or character of activity. DOBBINS, we would give!
668-1 Page 5
26. (Q) Would he give the finger surgery? (A) The finger surgery. The BETTER in the country, of course, is Richardson [Martyn L. Richardson, D.O., Norfolk, Va.]. Not in New York! Do these things, though, as we have given, being mindful as to diet - that there are those tendencies to keep TOWARD an alkalin rather than too great a quantity of acids; being warned against too great a use of condiments at any time. And we will bring a much nearer normal force for this body.
27. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (GD's notes at time of reading: See letter [which was enclosed] to Dr. Dobbins, and to The Reilly Service; also alkalin reacting diet list [which was enclosed], of which it seems your principal foods should consist. Immediately following 668-1, Mr. [668] said he did not hear all of the rdg. but he verified the fact that he was slightly deaf. [This, no doubt, was the reason for EC speaking in a loud, strong voice throughout the rdg.] Mr. [668] explained that he had undergone an operation on the nose to clear up the ear condition, to no avail. The nose was still sensitive and he was still deaf. He knew when the trouble started; he had a cold and blew his nose violently, causing a concussion in ear passages; has had trouble ever since. He said he would follow the suggestions in the reading.)
