1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [686].
2. Now, as we find, the conditions here are those of incoordination, which have been produced by a shock to the nervous system; that, being in the position where the activities of the glands as related to the making of the associations between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal produced a psychopathic condition - and through same pathological effects upon the reactions of the functionings of the system in its relationships to others, as the bases or seats of disorder.
3. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [686] we are speaking of:
4. The activities of the BLOOD SUPPLY, through the organisms of the body, with the distortion produced in the nervous system, make for an irregular activity of the circulation; though the blood stream itself shows little or no disorders from that source.
5. And in the NERVOUS FORCES of the body, then, do we find the greater causes of the distresses in the system. There has been in the cerebrospinal system an injury, that in the 4th lumbar has made for a pressure on the pineals and the effect upon the lyden and through the medulla oblongata; so that the activity of impulses makes for the inhibitions of the relationships of the body to other associations, to other individuals. While these do not disturb in a great manner in the present the organs of the system, if the applications are continued to be those that are only of a sedimentary nature or effect upon the nerve forces and impulses in the system, as to attempt to allay rather than relieve the causes of the inhibitions to the activities through the nerve body itself, these must eventually produce a distortion and a disorder in the functioning organs - and thus through these disorders bring greater distresses, and
686-1 Page 2
the activities where the relationships between the activative forces of the body-mind to others will be more and more of the attempts to shut those away from the relationships as one to another.
6. As we find, then, in meeting these needs of the conditions in this body:
7. We would first change some of the environs, the surroundings, and make for rather those where there would be less applications from the exterior and more of those to the influences from the active forces that are CAUSING these pressures that AFFECT the body in the psychopathic and pathological conditions.
8. These, as we find, would be where there would be the corrections made in the cerebrospinal system of those pressures in the lumbar area as indicated, COORDINATING all those in the various centers where the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic system coordinate in their functionings for the impulses from the mental reactions in the body - those in the 8th, 9th, 10th dorsal, those in the 3rd, 2nd, first dorsal, those in the 3rd to the 5th cervical; and, to be sure, in the axis at the 1st and 2nd cervical.
9. Also the application of the diathermy; not of the deep application, but with the plates attached at the 4th lumbar and at the 2nd dorsal, these not making a greater amperage than is as the vibrations of the body under the normal effect. This will aid in creating the association of impulses from the nervous forces of the system to make same coordinative with the impulses in the body.
10. After these have been taken not more than three or four, CHANGE the plates in their activity to the 2nd and 3rd cervical and the 9th and 10th dorsal.
11. These, as we find, will then bring about the more normal conditions, and the reactions to where the activities of the physical body, the mental body, coordinate with impulses from without and from within.
12. Do that.
13. Ready for questions.
14. (Q) How often should the manipulations for correcting the spinal condition be given? (A) Twice to three times each week. The application of the diathermy should be not oftener than twice each week, but then not on those same periods when the corrections are made. As we would find, the BETTER surroundings would be in Still-Hildreth.
686-1 Page 3
15. (Q) Is there any location in Washington that would be suitable for the body? (A) As we find, it would be better in Still-Hildreth, Macon, Missouri for there we would insure the proper coordinations without the injurious effect of subjugations through the activative forces that make for the sedimentations in the organs themselves. A shock to the nervous system, by an over anxiety respecting associations, conditions, that aided - or added to the effects of an injury or wrench to the spine during the periods of gestation in the active forces of the body in eliminations.
16. (Q) What influence did the patient's indecision regarding entering the convent have on her present condition? (A) Made for the inhibition to the active forces in the body itself. Secondary, but psychopathic in its effect; producing - in the pressure brought about - a PATHOLOGICAL condition.
17. (Q) With the improvement of the patient, would it be best to marry or enter the convent? (A) As we find, the associations and relations with another - or the marrying - would be the better relationships for the body, to keep a normalcy in its reaction.
18. (Q) When was the injury? (A) At twenty-three. [The year 1923 or age 23, not clear. GD.]
19. (Q) Any other suggestions for the better physical condition of this body? (A) As we find, this would insure the normalcy of the body - following those suggestions that have been given for the surroundings and the application of those things for the physical and mental coordination of the body. We would do that.
20. We are through for the present. Copy to Mother " " Ass'n file (We will be glad to furnish another copy of reading for Still-Hildreth, if you desire, and write them personally regarding the case. WARNING: DO NOT FOLLOW JUST ONE PORTION OF THE OUTLINED TREATMENT! EITHER DO ALL OF THAT SUGGESTED OR NONE OF IT, else detrimental conditions may result. All treatments

suggested through these sources are to cooperate and coordinate one with another; hence one without the other would not have desired effect. Let us keep in touch with you. We are anxious to do everything possible in helping your daughter to receive what we feel you may expect by following these suggestions. We have had a little research as to the lyden gland, mentioned in last paragraph on first page of reading [686-1, Par. 5], and will be glad to copy that from our files and send to you, or the doctors interested.)
