Time of Reading 11:00 to 11:25 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Washington, D.C. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, present in this room.
2. Now, as we find, there are conditions that disturb the better physical functioning of the body. These are rather a complication. While they may be taken in time and removed, the effects in the present are not always when they produce even distresses indicated in that which is produced in the body. These effects, as we find, are in the glands of the body, and produce varying conditions in the system. With the correction of those disturbing forces we would find the body would be brought to a normal condition, thus giving the opportunity for the better manifestation of the mental and spiritual attributes of this body.
3. These, then. are the conditions as we find them with this body, [687] we are speaking of, present in this room:
4. The BLOOD SUPPLY indicates (as disturbances in the nervous system) that the circulation in various portions of the body is impaired by the activity of the accumulations from a lymph coagulation that makes for pressures in the system, as we shall see, in their activity through the body. As to the elements of the blood supply itself, as to the pressure it creates, as to the effect upon the metabolism, the katabolism of the system; the katabolism is affected more than the metabolism, though these pressures produce an abnormal pulsation at times.
5. As to the NERVOUS SYSTEM, here again we find - as has been indicated - an effect, not the primary causes; though this is at times taken to be as a primary cause, but the coordination between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal system becomes disturbed at times, making for those conditions as of over-anxiety in the body - not only respecting self but the temperamental conditions of the body through the activity of these make for more anxiety on the
687-1 Page 2
part of those about the body than upon self. And these produce, as we shall see, an effect upon the digestive system, upon the circulation, upon the activities throughout the whole body; for the body is a "sensitive", and one that may develop powers within self not only to heal self but to bring to others an influence that would be of a helpful experience in the lives of others.
6. Then, the ORGANS of the body:
7. Brain forces are good. The reactions to the organs of the sensory system are at times impaired by the lymph circulation through head, throat, nasal cavities; for here we have had the effects of conditions that have brought at times not only a disorder but have affected the rest of the system.
8. In the glands we find (as in the thyroid), through the lack of the elements necessary for the production of the hormones to produce activity in the glands for the proper elimination, there is the tendency for the accumulations of the lymph in portions of the body; as in the nasal, as in the throat, as in the bronchi - though ORGANICALLY these have not as yet become involved, for the condition is rather of the functional nature.
9. In the lungs, the larynx, the circulation here is not always as deep as it should be; for the very activity of the system as related to the glands' activity produces shortness of breath that prevents the action of the carbon upon the blood supply. This is what produces what may be termed the complications of conditions in the system.
10. At times this makes for the effect upon the heart's action.
11. In the digestive system we find what may be called a nervous indigestion. This does not always occur, for we find at times properties taken in the system would agree while under other conditions apparently they would produce a disturbance as to become very disturbing to the better physical functioning of the body. At such periods we find the glands in the lacteal ducts, the glands naturally of the pancreas and spleen (for all of these are considered under these activities) become disturbed; producing bitterness in the taste, tendency for the excess of swallowing, the nausea at times. At such periods we find these are the regurgitations from lack of activity in the lacteal gland ducts. These produce, then, in this area, a plethora through the lymph attempting to accumulate, and produces a pressure across the diaphragm area. This makes for the tendency for lack of activity through the peristaltic movements of the intestinal tract or the eliminations, and
687-1 Page 3
we have a reaction in the circulation that adds to the lymph in the head's activity.
12. These, as we find, are the disturbing forces with this body, [687] we are speaking of, present in this room.
13. Then, in meeting the needs of these conditions in the present, we would combine these activities for the body that will make for the corrections in the system:
14. First, necessarily, there should be used the inhalant that would be prepared for THIS body in THIS matter:
15. To 4 ounces of grain alcohol, we would add: Oil of Eucalyptol......................20 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp...................5 minims, Tincture of Benzoin....................10 minims, Rectified Creosote......................3 minims, Canadian Balsam.........................3 minims, Tolu in solution.......................30 minims. Keep this in a glass corked container twice the size of the quantity, or a 6 or 8 ounce container. Keep where it may be warm, and shake when to be inhaled through the nostril - which will act as an antiseptic, clearing the head, relieving those tendencies for accumulation of phlegm at times, in throat of evening or night, and will overcome the tendencies for the body to be subject to cold and congestion. Breathe into the nostril DEEP, so that it may go into the throat and lungs - preferably only in the nostril, first one side then the other. Shake each time it is breathed in - and this the gases from same, NOT the solution.
16. Also, as a compound to be taken internally, we would prepare this:
17. To 4 ounces of Compound Simple Syrup, we would add: Essence of Wild Ginseng...............1/4 ounce, Tincture or Essence of Indian Turnip...20 minims, Tincture of Stillingia................1/2 ounce, Syrup of Wild Cherry..................1/2 ounce, Elixir of Calisaya, (this makes a bad taste for it, but it's good for the blood condition)...................1/4 ounce, Tincture of Capsici.....................3 minims. Shake this together before the dose is taken, which would be 1/2 teaspoonful 3 times each day - following the meals.
18. We would also have at least twice each week a thorough massage; beginning with the cervical area in the 1st and
687-1 Page 4
2nd, extending downward to the end of the spine. This in the form of the circular motion will stimulate the centers along the cerebrospinal system to respond to the activities created in the glands through the compound that we have indicated for the correction of the nervous indigestion, for the tendencies of accumulations in various portions of the system.
19. As to the diets, be mindful that these are rather prohibited to the body; those, then, that will be more in accord with the taste would be the better. Let one meal each day, whether noon, breakfast or evening, be of raw vegetables; as tomatoes, lettuce, celery, peppers, radish, carrots and such - that may be taken with an oil dressing. Well, too, that the starches - that bring distresses in an activity to the portions of the body - be at a minimum. Those things, then, that tend to make for an astringence in the system as related to the diet, should be minded; as also the quantities of fat or red meats. No hog meat at any time save very crisp bacon, that may be taken at some times. Preferably flow, fish, lamb or the like in the meats. At least once a week have those foods that produce larger blood supplying properties, as broiled liver, tripe, or such. These are well for the body.
20. Ready for questions.
21. (Q) Will the treatments as outlined relieve the severe headaches? (A) The severe headaches come from the conditions in the head from the accumulations in the portions of the system as indicated. By the use of the inhalant - the INHALATIONS will almost relieve of themselves; but the properties to simulate the glands, to remove the accumulations that make for poisons, will KEEP them away.
22. (Q) Will the treatment as suggested relieve the bowel stoppage? (A) As indicated, it is for those very activities in the system, that make for the activities of the glands in the lacteal ducts and in the pancreas, spleen and liver.
23. (Q) Should the body wear glasses? (A) The time has come when this will be an aid to the body when reading or when there is close work, but with the applications of those things we have suggested the eyes will be strengthened also.
24. (Q) What was expelled from the stomach about four weeks ago, and what caused this? (A) The accumulations of the lymph that made for the lacerations of the soreness that had been accumulations here.
25. (Q) Was it blood that was expelled? (A) Lymph is a circulation of blood, you see, that forms by
687-1 Page 5
the mucous accumulations around or within lymph cells that were PROTECTIONS to the body, to prevent caking or hardening there. Do these things, as we find, that have been outlined - consistently, persistently. Be patient with self. Look into self, as to that which is the motivating force in thy activity with thyself, thy associates. For, as has been given, the body, the mind, the soul-development is such that the body may - through its mental self - aid many.
