Time of Reading 11:10 to 11:25 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Washington, D.C. (Body and enquiring mind, and her problem in regard to her home - as set forth in her letter which I hold in my hand. You will advise her as to the best move to make at this time, answering the questions she has submitted, as I ask them.)
1. EC: Yes, we have the enquiring mind, [688], and those conditions and circumstances that have brought about the problems at this time regarding the house.
2. As we find, while conditions are to be deplored in regards to the lack of consideration from the present owners, these should not be allowed to cause the activities to be such as to be acting in spite or in not giving due consideration to the problems that exist now.
3. And there should be first this attitude of the body: If there is continued to be held resentment or animosity, or is going to be felt that, then it would be best to change.
4. But accepting the conditions as exist, accept - if there is given a three to five year lease, with the privilege - WITHOUT extra charges for the preparation of same for the use of the lower portion as an eating place, and with the assurance that there will be no interference. If there is such assurance, then accept it.
5. For not only may this be worked out to greater advantage than were there the attempts to be moved or to make moves, but the expense of the readjustments, the expense of the readjustments as regarding all phases of the activity of the body would be too great - even considering this enormous raise in proportion. For ALL rents are being raised. And those that have been considered as places would be worse than this, and with less consideration.
6. Hence we would find, make for - first - the assurance that there will be the granted privilege without hindrance from the surroundings or any additions from that cost which is being given at this time for the opening of the extra office or rooms for the carrying on of the Pan.

7. And we would find that with these changes, if there is left from the mind that which would build a barrier and thus gradually turn conditions and circumstances in the minds and influences of those that would like to make for helpful periods, then we would find this would be the better - to accept the change.
8. Ready for questions.
9. (Q) Would you advise a three or five year lease? (A) Five if it may be obtained at the same. At least a five; three or five. Three if five cannot be had (for changes will come about by then); but five if practical or possible.
10. (Q) Would the Stew Pan pay me or justify me to keep the house? (A) This as has been indicated is being taken into consideration. When there is considered the surroundings, the activities, the conditions - if there is the assurance there is to be no objection with this being cared for properly - then it would MORE than justify this added expense.
11. (Q) Any advice to either [707] or I, or both, in opening up and running the Stew Pan? (A) First as has been indicated, be assured by those in charge and those in the influence about the opening of such in such quarters, that there will be and are to be no hindrances or other considerations than has already been indicated. Then if it is cared for in the way and manner, the cleanliness of the place, the courteousness of the place will mean much. And DO NOT be antagonistic owing to being considered in the way and manner. For these would create those influences that would become stumblingblocks rather than helpfulness.
12. (Q) Any spiritual advice? (A) As just indicated.
