1. EC: Yes, we find where the body was!
2. As we find, the conditions-physical are from the effects of inflammation of the mucous membranes to such an extent as to cause an increase in the temperature, through the accumulation of the leucocyte in the liver and the slow activity and congestion, as well as inflammation through the pleura and in the lung and bronchi especially; causing through those effects and activities a great deal of inflammation by the overexcitement through the alimentary canal from the effects of BACILLI - or from flu germ.
3. These are the conditions, as we find, to be met.
4. We would take compounds prepared in the following manner (though the body may be entirely removed from the surroundings; as it is):
5. One solution would be prepared by putting 10 grains of Calcidin in 2 ounces of distilled water. This should be warm, should be kept warm - and kept covered, you see.
6. Then prepare another solution in this manner:
7. To 4 ounces Compound Simple Syrup as the carrier, add: Syrup of Wild Cherry......1/2 ounce, Syrup of Senna............1/4 ounce, Syrup of Sarsaparilla.....1/4 ounce, Syrup of Rhubarb..........1/2 ounce. This we would shake together each time before the doses are taken. Every half hour take a dose. On the hour take the syrups. On the half hour take the Calcidin. Half a teaspoonful of each as the dose. Make it a spoon up and spoon down.
8. We would also make for the eliminations through the use of the high enemas.

9. Keep the body warm. Massage the feet with a compound of equal parts mutton tallow, camphor and turpentine; BAKING them, or put hot flannels or a hot water bottle to these to keep them warm.
10. Let the diet be citrus fruit juices; beef juices; predigested foods - any of these; broths, or the like.
11. Well that a flannel be put over the chest with the mutton tallow, camphor and turpentine - equal parts, and that this be kept warm with a hot pad.
12. Do these, and we will overcome these conditions.
13. We are through for the present. [EC's first words on waking: "Did you get it?" referring to the reading.] Copy to Mrs. [264] - Special Delivery " " Ass'n file (GD's note: You can probably prepare the Calcidin solution yourself. A letter was enclosed to druggist with directions for other compound. Mr. [699] recommended to us the Homeopathic Pharmacy in Washington.)
