R E A D I N G
Time of Reading 4:15 to 5:10 P. M. Eastern Standard Time.
1. GC: You will have before you the individuals gathered here who present themselves as members of Study Group #9 of the Association for Research and Enlightenment, Incorporated. You will give at this time council and guidance for this new group. You will answer the questions which will be asked.
2. EC: Yes, we have the group as gathered here, as a group, as individuals; with their desires, their purposes, their aims; with their problems, and their seeking for that which may assist each AS individuals in being a channel of blessings.
3. Let each, then, as they present themselves, determine in their own heart, in their OWN experience, to give to others that THEY find in THEIR experience has aided in becoming more aware of that universal consciousness of the Creative Forces that may manifest in the experience of each soul that seeks to know His will.
4. Then, let they prayer, let thy motto ever be, "In Thy will may I dwell, in the consciousness of Thy presence abiding in me," ever in that love, "As ye do it unto my brethren ye do it unto me."
5. Those then that seek with that as their ideal may rest in that promise which has been given from the beginning, "If ye will be my children, I will be thy God."
6. In seeking, let it be not for self, rather that there may come in thine experience the greater channel of blessing for thy friend - yea, thine enemy; for the love of God constraineth thee that ye faint not by the way. Condemn not and ye will not be condemned. Love not and ye will not be love. But He that would show forth the love that that the Father hath bestowed upon thee will be LOVELY to every soul!

7. Ready for questions.
8. (Q) Of the following, who would be the proper teacher for this group? [701], Susan V. Richmond, Agnes M. Hoppe, [699], [689], [264], [681]? (A) Richmond and [681].
9. (Q) Susan V. Richmond and [681]? (A) Susan V. Richmond and [681].
10. (Q) Is there any special method that would be recommended for handling the teaching of this group? (A) Let those that would direct in the study of that which may be presented from period to period, first consecrate - in themselves - their lives to those they would serve. For, "He that will be the greatest among you will be the servant of all." Let thy meditations be in Him. Let thy purposes be: "USE me in the way that I may be the greater service to those that, through those channels at this time, seek." Know ye, all: To no one finite mind may there be expressed ALL that may be known of infinity. Yet he that will show forth the love that will aid another to find, to know, to be the greater blessing to others will show first himself patient, lovely, consecrated - not to any cism or ism, but rather to God.
11. (Q) As I call the name you will given the individual work of each member in this group. First, [689]: (A) As thou hast received, so wilt thou give; yet keeping thine mind, thine heart, thine body, in accord with that thou professest with thy mouth. Let it show forth in thy conversation, in thy acts to thy fellow man, that thou art consistent with thy God - that may manifest in THEE, even as the promises have been, "If ye love me and keep my commandments, I will come and abide with thee."
12. (Q) [681]: (A) The glory of the Father be manifested in thee as thou goest about to do the biddings that are prompted in thine consciousness. Dost thou keep His ways, His promises are sure, "Take not thought of the morrow"; for if ye abide in Him the word, the act, that which will be the blessing to thy neighbor will be given thee in thy work. WORK with thy hands, with thine heart, that ye may PRESENT an acceptable word that may quicken the heart of thy brethren; for he that saves a soul hath covered a multitude of errors. The FATHER abide with thee! The blessings of the Master, of those of old, of the knowledge of God that may be manifestedly expressed in thee, be WITH thee!
13. (Q) [692]: (A) Let thy going ins and thy coming out be acceptable in the sight of the Lord. Let thy mediations and the desires
705-1 Page 3
of thy heart be one with that thou knowest to do. For the glory of the Father, the companionship of His Spirit abideth with thee as thou goest about doing the kindness here, the gentle word there; for they that do such things lend unto the Lord, and HE will repay in that He seest thou hast need of, for that contentment, that peace, that joy that passeth understanding of men. But let that love constrain thee day by day, and in thy seeking ye shall find. And join ye with them that seek to bring that peace in harmonious vibrations in the lives of others, in the HEALING group.
14. (Q) [688]: (A) Strength cometh to those that spend themselves for the glory of the Divine that may manifest in the hearts and souls of men in the earth. For though there come the trials, the temptations, the disappointments in thine experiences, in thine weighing of the manifestations that may come through the children of men, though ye oft be tempted, His promise is sure that "Ye are not tempted beyond that ye are able to bear, dost thou put thy trust in the LIVING God." Let the dead past bury its dead, but as for thee and thy house serve YE a LIVING God, that may quicken the hearts of the sons of men, and make for that coming of the glory that He has promised to those that LOVE His coming. Seek and ye shall find, KNOCK and it shall be opened unto thee. For thou hast much glory in self, yet thy glory in Him will bring those harmonious experiences in thine life that will make for that quickening to the NEW experiences in Him. GLORY in the Christ!
15. (Q) [707]: (A) In thy Father's house are MANY mansions, my son. Seek ye those things that will make thy calling and thy election sure in Him. Be ye not wafted about as an unstable one, but stand ye girded with those messages of truth that may come from thy Father's throne. Thou hast HEALINGS in thine experience. Spend thy strength, spend thine body and thine mind in thy love for thy fellow man. For He is able to keep that He has promised unto the sons of men, that "A new commandment I give, that ye love one another." The way ye know, and it is hard only to those that trust in themselves and in the strength of their own experience. But experience rather that love that may make thee STRONG in His might. For He hath called thee by name. Thou hast a task to perform. Faint not! Though the way seem long, yet a moment in the presence of thine Saviour is worth YEARS in the tents of the wicked. Glory in the strength, the privilege thou hast been given that ye may serve thy fellow man.
16. (Q) [701]:
705-1 Page 4
(A) Let the love of the Father constrain thee in thy daily walks before thy fellow man. Let not the love of power make thee unkind to those that think not, that walk not in thine own understanding. So live in thine daily life that ye may look EVERY man in the face and let him see THERE the face of Him ye serve. For what ye are and what ye do speak louder than the words of thy mouth. Then, as thou ministerest unto the bodies of thy brethren, let it be in humbleness of heart; for YE, TOO, may add that strength that will awaken rather the soul of the seeker than that of ONLY the material aid. For lest thou savest a soul for a service, hast thou brought help to any soul? How may ye show, other than by that ye are constrained to do, through that ye call thine ideal? Love the Lord and His ways will be opened before thee. Let thy love be manifested. HOLD FAST to those things that would constrain thee; for His ways are not past finding out, to those that seek His face.
17. (Q) [436]: (A) Let the Father that would speak to thee in secret be manifested in thy daily walks of life. For THOU knowest to do good is to be JUST KIND, JUST PATIENT, just FRIENDLY, just loving, to thy fellow man! THESE are the fruits of the spirit, and they bear their fruit in the hearts and the minds and in the souls of those thou wouldst mete such out to.
18. (Q) [691]: (A) Let thy heart be glad and JOYOUS that thou art counted WORTHY to be a bearer of truth and life to thy fellow man. For as ye seek to make manifest that thou hast gained in thine search, STRENGTH and UNDERSTANDING goes with thee. Bear ye one ANOTHER'S burdens. Make thy life an OPEN light to those that would seek to know the truth. For the truth will indeed make thee free, if ye will follow in the way the Lord hath opened. For a light must shine OUT to the seeking world, and THOU may light the way.
19. (Q) [264]: (A) Let the words of thy mouth bespeak of those things thou hast received in thy meditations, that there may come into the minds and the hearts and the SOULS of those that seek, an understanding. Ye, TOO, through bringing healing to others may heal thyself. For he that would have life must give it; he that would be loved must show himself lovely; he that would have mercy must show mercy to his friends. He that would be patient and have patience shown must SHOW patience unto those that seek.
20. (Q) [853]: (A) In keeping the ways open, in listening to the voice
705-1 Page 5
from within, as thou meetest in the temple of thine own body - which is but the temple of the living God, as He may commune with thee and thy spirit beareth witness with His Spirit, may thou be shown the truths and the paths and the ways of life that lead unto understanding. Walk thou in them. Study to show thyself approved; for he that knocketh, to him will it be opened, and He will pour a blessing upon those that walk with their fellow man in SAVING those things that are of the spirit and not of the flesh alone.
21. (Q) [699]: (A) Thou art in the way that leadeth to light in thine service to thy fellow man. Be not thou a stumblingblock, but rather open ye the way; for thou, TOO, may serve and bring strength and healing to thy SELF through that thou may bring in the LOVE thou showest to thy fellow man. For with what judgement shalt thou be judged? What hast thou done to thy fellow man? What hast thou put as a stumblingblock? What hast thou put as the stepping-stone over the rough places in the experiences of others? Hast thou shown gentleness, or hast thou shown rather the indomitable will of self that would find fault? If ye would find strength and mercy, be STRONG in thy love to thy brother. Be thou merciful to those that even despitefuly use thee. For what profit it thee if thou art kind to those ONLY that are kind to thee, if thou speakest kindly only to those that speak kindly to thee? But make thy paths straight. For thou art judged in thine own self of that THOU has set as thy ideal. SEE thy ideal in the heart of thy brother! SEE that thou would worship in thy Maker! For GOD is IN all, THROUGH all, and God looketh on the heart. Look thou within thine own heart and see what are the promptings there. Aid ye those that would pray for their brother.
22. (Q) Agnes Hoppe: (A) Strength and power be with thee. Thou art in the way that is opening more and more to the glories of the manifestations of the love that thou seest in the tones, the colors. And thou hast read thy title. Be not unmindful that thou shalt keep thine own garments white in the blood of the Lamb. For, would ye know the truth, the truth will make thee more and more humble; yet more and more proud that thou art counted worthy to be the servant, the messenger, the minister for a living God. He will abide with thee, and guide and direct - if thou wilt but open the ways.
23. (Q) [678]: (A) Let the love of the Christ, that is manifested in the hearts of the children of men, by thy guide, by thy spirit, be thy place in thy dealings with thy fellow man. For His
705-1 Page 6
peace, His joy, His love abides with thee. Sing ye the new song that He will put into thine heart as thou goest about DOING good. For by this ye shall be judged: "As ye did it unto the least of my brethren, ye did it unto me!" Thou canst not know the love, save thou showest it.
24. (Q) [702]: (A) The love of the Father to the children of men constrain thee! As thou hast seen in those things that have been shown thee in the holy mount, these are sacred unto thee. So are they unto thy brethren. Think not thou canst share the glory of God to thine self. Only may thou know same by manifesting it in the lives and in the hearts of those thou meetest day by day. And His strength will sustain thee, even in those periods when everything else faileth. For His promises are sure.
25. (Q) [694]: (A) Thou hast chosen a goodly part, my child; for thou hast let thine love for thy fellow man lead thee even when the strength of thine body has failed thee at times. So in the giving of thine self in a service may ye find that STRENGTH that will sustain thee when the darkest clouds, when those shadows that would upset thee, approach. For His love is ever with thee. For He will meet thee in the holy mount - thine own self! Be still and let the still, small voice speak from within, and thou mayest aid those that strengthen those that have erred in body or mind to find that HEALING may come in the wings of those that SEND their influence through those forces that may be named in the Name of Him that IS in the presence of the Father in the Whole. For, as He has given, "What ye ask in my name, believing," knowing - and in that purpose - that "As thou, O God, seest I have need of," it will be given thee - if thou wilt keep thine heart singing in His ways.
26. (Q) Susan V. Richmond: (A) As thou hast perceived in the inmost recesses of thine heart that there may be strength and purpose gained by appealing to that which is the strongest within the activities of thy fellow man, that may be awakened by the power and the might of the God-force that is manifested in the world, let this not lead thee astray; but rather give ye the praise, the glory, where it belongs. For man may propose, man may sow, man may strive, but only the Lord thy GOD can give the increase; whether in spirit, in mind, in body, or in any manifestation, let the love of God constrain thee, then, as thou guidest thy fellow man. For in so doing thou wilt bring strength to thine own self. Let thy going in, then, thine coming out, be acceptable in His sight,
705-1 Page 7
through thy meditations within thine won heart. For, thou alone knowest what thou hast set as thine ideal. Be true to that, and thou wilt not be false to thyself nor to thy fellow man.
27. (Q) [796]: (A) Let the love of the Father, thou hast proclaimed, be thy guide. For, as the glory of the Father is delivered unto the sons of men for their activity among their brethren, so may thy glory and thy peace of mind, even in the comfort of body, come in ministering unto those that thou aidest day by day. Learn ye patience with thyself. Learn ye gentleness with those that despitefully use thee; for ye become aware of your soul in PATIENCE. Let His mercy be sufficient unto thee; for this be that which brings the harmony, the understanding, that ye show forth the love of the Son until He come again. When will he come? Why doth He tarry? Ye long within thine self now, and wonder why the awakening has not come sooner. He knocketh at thy doors. OPEN thou! Let Him into the recesses of thine own heart, and He will sup with thee.
28. (Q) Any guidance for the group as a whole at this time? (A) Study to show thyself approved unto the Maker that speaks within thee, for He is not in another place afar off. It is not who will call Him down or bring Him up, but lo! He is within thine own heart! Ye are GODS in the making. "Mercy, Lord, mercy," that ye may all act as such!
29. We are through.
