1. EC: Yes. (There's quite a bit of association with Readings in this surrounding.) [In the office, 1010 South Virginia St., Hopkinsville, Ky. GD's note: Where EC gave a lot of readings in the early days? 5/18/34 See EC's ltr. under 605-1, Par. R3. Also EC's family lived on So. Va. in early Hopkinsville days.]

2. We have the body, [715].

3. Conditions are not so good, yet as we find much of that which is the greater disturbance is an overanxiety of the body.

4. True, the acute condition that arises from acidity in system is disturbing and distressing; with cold and lack of proper activity of the liver, the gall duct and the flow of the lymph through these portions.

5. These as we find may be materially aided but will require a good deal of persistence, else they may become very disturbing for the body's activities.

6. DO NOT attempt to work or to exercise physically and mentally with too great a quantity of temperature, or too high a temperature. This is very bad and is aggravating to the whole conditions.

7. As we find first, then, all of these must be taken into consideration.

8. We would in the present begin by taking a course of Castoria - Fletcher's Castoria, take a whole bottle in about four doses.

9. Then the next day begin with Simmons Liver Regulator, preferably in the liquid. Take about half a teaspoonful twice a day.

10. In the evening that this is taken, put heavy Castor Oil Packs, as hot as can be stood, over the liver and the caecum area; that's the right side, just under the ribs, the lower portion of the stomach and extending down to the beginning of the hip bone. Change these about twice; that is, put the Pack on, allow it to become cold; keep it packed over as

much as possible with heavy cloths; for the Oil Pack should be put, of course, directly on the body itself. When this becomes cold, heat again and put on. The sponge off the body with lukewarm soda water.

11. Put the feet in hot mustard water AFTER the Pack has been used, pulling the water up on the lower limbs to the knees, rubbing down thoroughly; and when taken out of the water and sponged off dry, massage with rub alcohol from the knees down. This will prevent taking cold, or more cold.

12. Then on the next day take again, only in the evening, the Simmons Liver Regulator - a full teaspoonful; this before the evening meal.

13. Then when ready to retire take the Oil Packs again, two of them; and rub the feet and limbs again with the mustard water - as hot as may be stood.

14. Take an enema after these to relieve the strain through the alimentary canal.

15. Keep up the douches with the Atomidine.

16. Then if there would be given occasionally a general, thorough osteopathic treatment, it would be well for the body.

17. If these are carried out, we will find better conditions.

18. Ready for questions.

19. (Q) Any advice regarding diet at this time? (A) These suggestions as to diet have been indicated for the body, and these are well. Keep away from those things that are acid-producing.
