Time of Reading 4:40 to 5:05 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. L.I., N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [719], in part we have had this mental body before.

2. Now, in the physical forces of the body in the present we find there are conditions the correction of which would make for better physical reactions, giving a better physical body for the mental and material and spiritual developments.

3. These conditions, as we find, have to do with hindrances in the assimilating forces of the body and the glands that are affected by these disturbances, making for conditions that we find are as these - [719] we are speaking of, present in this room:

4. First, as to the BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find deficient in those elements for making a perfect coordination through the circulatory system. Hence at times there come periods when through the assimilations and the disturbances from those conditions in the activative forces in the digestive area, there are disturbances that make for a retraction such that little or no digestion takes place, where there is the lack of the proper activity through the lacteal ducts, not sufficient secretions from the gall duct activity, and the liver becomes clogged. The body becomes rather sluggish, with heaviness in the feet, dizzy spells at times for the head; headache, depression through the various portions of the system.

5. The reflex to the NERVOUS SYSTEM, then, makes for other disorders. These elements lacking, as we find, produces for the blood supply a form of anemia. Hence we have a low blood pressure at periods, when at others we will find it near normal or even somewhat above. Pulsation at periods of depressions, or those periods of the distresses with the areas indicated, makes for the periods of restlessness; not

719-2 Page 2

wholly insomnia, but restlessness in its activities throughout.

6. In the nervous system we find there is rather the effect, than the nervous system producing the disorder. For with those reactions from the lack of assimilation, the tendencies for the glands to become sluggish, those conditions where regurgitation and acidity arise in the system from the repressions, these make for pressures upon the nervous systems. Hence ALL portions of the body are affected at times.

7. As to the functioning of the ORGANS themselves: Brain forces are very good. The reactions through the sympathetic and cerebrospinal coordinate.

8. Those conditions that are as reflexes from a poor circulation through the organs of the sympathetic system - or the eye, ear, nose, throat, taste, smell - these at times find repressions in same; only sympathetic.

9. The conditions in the throat, bronchi, lungs, larynx - where there are the tendencies for easily taking cold, or those periods when the body has cold and hot sensations - are the effects of the disturbed circulation; produced by other conditions as we have indicated. No organic disturbance in the lungs.

10. The heart's action, as indicated, and is not an organic disturbance.

11. In the digestive system and the reactions from same do we find the seat or the greater cause of distresses. Here we find there have been in times back periods of congestion, that has made for the tendency for lesions; or adhesions and lesions at times form. Not from ulcerations, lacerations or such, but ALL HAVE been experienced as conditions through the system. In the present the effects are rather from those conditions as indicated in tissue, that has become thickened; this affecting the digestive area, especially the liver with the activity of the pancreas, the spleen and the lacteal ducts. Hence there have been periods when a little temperature existed with the body for periods, and then gradually disappeared as the body was able through its own activity to assimilate or disintegrate those conditions that made for the disturbances.

12. The organs of the sympathetic system through the hepatic circulation we find have made for, again, congested areas. Hence the conditions through the eliminations as related to the alimentary canal and the hepatic circulation through the activity of the kidneys have not always made for the proper coordination. Hence those disturbances through these portions of the system.

13. Then, in meeting the needs of the conditions as we find them with this body, [719], we are speaking of, present in this room, first we would begin with those things, conditions or elements that will make for creating a proper balance through the gastric flow of the whole intestinal system.

14. These, as we find, may be found in the consistent use of those properties compounded in that known as AL-CAROID. The use of same following certain meals, and proper consideration of the diet, will make for the proper assimilations as related to the gastric juices themselves.

15. In the first two weeks this compound should be taken twice each day, after the evening meal and after the morning meal; a quarter teaspoonful stirred in a small quantity of water, then a full glass added - then another glass taken following same - that is, taking two glasses of water with each dose.

16. As will be seen, this forms a curd that will produce the proper gastric flow, not only from the upper portion or the cardiac plexus reaction but also of the pyloric; and making for a better peristaltic movement through the intestines, overcoming the tendencies for periods of constipation and periods of relaxation, necessitating little or no use of cathartics - with the general condition. If a cathartic is used, we would rather use that of the alkaline nature such as found in Upjohn's Citrocarbonates - not baking soda, though this may be helpful at times; but the Citrocarbonates would be the more effective.

17. But those conditions that have existed and do exist from the periods of reaction in the system where tissue has become involved in itself, and where there is the ineffective flow of the gastric juices, must need periods of the proper vibrations carried through the centers from which there is the activity to the glands themselves that secrete for the gastric flow and for the activity of organs - and for the supplying of assimilating influences in the system; periods of applications that will bring a normalcy there.

18. These, we find, would be through the proper sweats, manipulations and stimulations through the flow from the high frequency in the electrical vibration that will make for the emptying and stimulating of not only the gall ducts themselves but the lacteal ducts and their coordinating effect with the rest of the system. So, we would use the sinusoidal with the reverse coil or activity, and the plate in its numbers would be a ratio of twenty-six (26). The attachments would be over the 4th dorsal center and to the lacteal duct area; making same not of too high a frequency

but use in the beginning only about once or twice each week - or using it twice each week for three weeks, then once each week for several weeks.

19. Following such applications we would have the general massage over the whole system that will make for the coordinations throughout the body.

20. As to the diet that would be better for the body, we would beware of those things that make for too much acid for the system; or we would follow an outline in this manner, though - to be sure - this may be altered or changed to meet the tastes, provided these foods are a portion of the diet throughout the treatments:

21. Mornings - citrus fruit juices. Do not combine cereals, dry or cooked, with citrus fruit juices; that is, do not have them at the same meal, though with either there may be taken toast, egg, or any of the ordinary food values. If preferable, the hot or dry cereals may be taken - but not at the same meal with the fruit juices. Use whole wheat or brown bread.

22. Let at least ONE meal each day be almost entirely of RAW vegetables; such as cabbage (or slaw), lettuce, celery, carrots, onions, tomatoes, or any of such vegetables that carry roughage. With these there may be used an oil or a salad dressing. At the same meal there may be used the fruit or vegetable juices, or meat broths - but not too great a quantity of grease in same.

23. NEVER any fried foods of ANY kind, at ANY meal!

24. Evenings - a well-cooked, well-balanced vegetable and meat diet; but the meats that would be preferable would be fish, fowl or lamb - NOT any red meats or those that carry quantities of grease with same.

25. These, as we find, would be the outline.

26. Do these and we will bring, in eight to ten weeks - well, it'll be a new body! bringing for the whole system that which will make for a near normal condition for this body, [719].

27. Ready for questions.

28. (Q) What can be done to relieve the nose congestion? (A) The nose congestion arises from the periods of poor circulation, which has allowed the mucous membranes to become thickened or clogged at times. With the massage and the other treatments, the use of a deep inhalant as an antiseptic - prepared in this manner - should clear the nasal passages and the disturbances that come there: To 2 ounces of 85% alcohol (or the commercial alcohol - grain), add:

719-2 Page 5

Oil of Eucalyptol...............10 minims, Tincture of Benzoin.............10 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp............3 minims, Benzosol in solution............10 minims. Shake this together before it is to be used in an atomizer. Add a teaspoonful of this solution in three-quarters of an ounce of distilled water, in an atomizer. Use as a spray twice each day. Do these and, as we have given, we will bring the normal conditions to this body, 1719].

29. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (11/6/34 GD's notes: See letter [which was enclosed] to The Reilly Service with directions for sinusoidal treatments; also to druggist for inhalant prescription. I would recommend the Devilbis spray for the inhalant solution. The AL-CAROID is made by The American Ferment Co., Buffalo, N.Y., but may be obtained at most any drugstore. Take as directed in the reading, rather than using directions on box. A well-balanced alkaline vegetable diet for the evening meal would include more of the leafy and pod vegetables than so much potatoes. Acid-producing foods are starches, sweets and meats; so if you eat meat once a day (those mentioned in the reading), you should eliminate starches and sweets (potatoes and pastries) almost entirely. I think the rest should be perfectly clear; if not, don't hesitate to ask. We want to see you get well.)
