New York Hospital, Time of Reading East 68th St. & 11:25 to 11:50 A.M. Eastern Standard Time. York Ave., 4th Floor, Room G-406, New York City. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [720], and those conditions- physical that disturb the body at this time.

2. Now, as we find, these conditions are rather a complication of the effect of disturbances that have brought about hindrances; first - in the beginnings - from the poor eliminations, which began with not only the forming of the lymph accumulations in sacs but have made for pressures through same that affected the body in the activities as related to the portions in the certain cerebrospinal centers, as we shall see.

3. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [720], we are speaking of:

4. We find the BLOOD SUPPLY carrying in same a humor that is not being eliminated by the proper character of drainages being set up in the system. This affects, then, the internal circulation as related rather to the deeper or the venous circulation; carrying with same accumulations, as indicated especially in the torso portions of the system.

5. This makes for pressures upon the NERVE FORCES, bringing into the nerve reactions that trembly sensation which arises from the incoordination between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal reactions; specifically from the 9th dorsal to the 4th lumbar area. It affects, then, the activities of the hepatic circulation, bringing to the lymph such a drainage upon the blood supply as for the excitement of same to produce the flushed or swelled conditions that appear at times upon various portions of the circulation.

6. As to the ORGANS themselves:

7. We find the brain forces are good.

720-1 Page 2

8. The activities in the circulation through the sympathetic, through the sensory organism, make for periods of the depression of the organs of the senses; at other times an overactivity or oversensitiveness to same. Not as a neurotic condition, but rather the overexcitement to the impulse sensation to the whole body.

9. In the throat, bronchi, lungs and larynx, we find these filled with surplus circulation at times. The system then, attempting to create that which is helpful in warding off the conditions within same, creates an increased lymph supply, making for still another drawing upon the assimilating forces until the eliminations or drainages are cut off in many of the activities of the glands that secrete for the eliminations of the system.

10. The functioning in the heart's action, naturally, is abnormal from the very character of the flow of the blood supply.

11. The accumulations in the digestive organ itself, where there have been those disturbances in same, make for the greater pressure upon the system's attempting - to ward off; thus filling the system to a distress to the body, so that the digestive system responds only with effective activities upon same - or the creating from exterior forces the gastric flows that make for an assimilation of a normalcy.

12. As to the liver, spleen and pancreas, those activities through the assimilations in the lacteal ducts are almost nil in their activity as COORDINATING with the lacteal ducts through which the assimilation comes most for replenishing and rebuilding.

13. The stimulations have in part been effective, that have been applied in the form of creating the exterior or superficial circulation, in the form of the baths or rubs, and the internal activity of those properties that make for the proper distribution through the gastric flow of the digestive area. So we would not change these.

14. We would only add what we find in the present would be more effective in creating a balance and a coordination in the activities of the system.

15. Then, in meeting the conditions in the present, or in adding to that being administered in the care for the conditions with this body, [720], we are speaking of:

16. We would add the low form of electrical vibrations that may be created by the use of the wet cell battery, plain, that will guide the activities from the lacteal ducts, the digestive area, through the solar plexus center from the 9th dorsal - or being almost opposite each in the connection. This would aid in bringing for the body the better, the

greater, the quicker recuperative forces that will be sustained in their activity in the system by the creating of that which will not only revivify the elemental forces that create for energies in the body itself, but will create a correct or greater balance in the system itself; aiding in the eliminations that aid in carrying - through their channels of eliminations - the poisons from the system that have naturally accumulated from this clogging in the system.

17. Such vibrations from the Radio-Active Wet Cell Battery, in the plain form, we would add at least once each day for a period of twenty to thirty minutes. The positive or first attachment would be made at the 9th dorsal center; while the other larger nickel plate would be attached at the umbilici [umbilical] and lacteal duct area.

18. Also, following each application of the Appliance, to distribute to all the centers of the cerebrospinal system and their coordinating centers with the sympathetic, we would find it most helpful to massage along the cerebrospinal system with a compound prepared in this manner:

19. To 4 ounces of Russian White Oil as the base, add (in the order named): Oil of Pine Needles..........1 ounce, Oil of Cedar Wood............1 ounce, Tincture of Benzoin........1/2 ounce, Oil of Wintergreen...........1 ounce, Oil of Sassafras...........1/2 dram. These will tend to separate when standing in solution. Just before massaging (which would be just following the application of the electrical forces), shake the solution well together, and pour out only sufficient for the one treatment or massaging - which would be from three to five minutes - all the body will absorb along the cerebrospinal system; also massage all the body will absorb across the diaphragm area of the body. This will overcome those conditions that cause the circulation to carry too great an accumulation of lymph.

20. Do these; not changing the diet; not using any of those things that act as too great a sedative, but following the general outline; and we will bring the better conditions for this body of [720].

21. Ready for questions.

22. (Q) Would you advise giving the Battery treatment while the body remains in the hospital? (A) It may be given there, or when the body is removed from

720-1 Page 4

same.

23. (Q) Can this body be treated at home? (A) It can be treated at home.

24. (Q) What doctor in New York would carry out these treatments? (A) Dobbins or Coombs, or Daly [?], or any of those that are in sympathy with information through these sources and that know those applications that have been maintained for the body.

25. (Q) What medication would be best for eliminations? (A) These activities as we have outlined are the better for the eliminations; for these set up drainages first, see? Then we would use those that have been indicated or that are being indicated in the present - this is the portion that should be maintained.

26. (Q) Should any sedatives at all be given? (A) As given, these we should keep as far away from as possible - except when the body is in acute pain; and then a hypnotic rather than a sedative would be better, or the narcotics, or those things that have been heretofore indicated for this.

27. (Q) Any other suggestions for the better physical condition of this body? (A) If these are maintained or adhered to as we have given, we will find the better conditions coming for this body, [720].

28. We are through for the present. Two copies to Husband (one for whatever doctor is chosen) Copy to Ass'n file (11/7/34 GD's note: See letter [which was enclosed] to The Reilly Service giving specifications for battery appliance, and ingredients for massaging.)
